Chapter 531: Chapter 531: Purification, The Demon God’s Revenge Completed

"I think I..." Sean Chandler suddenly spoke.

His voice was deep and hoarse, tinged with an indescribable mix of emotions. "...can end this apocalypse."

Crystal Lynn, Dexter Luther, and the others were all stunned to hear Sean Chandler say this.

’End the Demonic Apocalypse?’

"Chandler, is that for real?"

Dexter Luther’s eyes widened. "You swallowed a Blood Ancestor and evolved into a savior?"

Dexter Luther was utterly shocked.

Crystal Lynn was utterly stunned.

Seraphina Sullivan found it unbelievable.

Sean Chandler didn’t answer.

He just slowly raised his enormous palm, aiming at a furiously writhing demonic plant not far away.

It was a Cannibal Flower as tall as two people, its petal edges lined with Sharp Teeth and its vines covered in barbs.

It sensed Sean Chandler’s movement, opened its gaping maw, let out a piercing shriek, and lunged at him.

The Blue Crystal Stone on Sean Chandler’s forehead flashed abruptly.

The next second, an invisible Energy spread from his palm, enveloping the Cannibal Flower.

The Cannibal Flower’s movements ground to a halt.

It froze in place, its body beginning to tremble violently.

As Sean Chandler’s Energy pulsed,

a black mist was forcibly stripped from the plant’s body.

The mist twisted and struggled in the air before vanishing without a trace.

After the black mist dispersed, the Cannibal Flower, as if drained of all its Power, slowly shrank and withered.

Its once-ferocious Sharp Teeth fell away, its vibrant petals faded, and its thick vines shriveled.

A few seconds later, it had become an ordinary little wildflower, only knee-high.

White petals, tender green leaves, swaying gently in the breeze.

It was no different from any wildflower by the roadside.

Then, as if conducting an experiment,

Sean Chandler subjected the plant to Magic Transformation.

The ordinary flower once again became terrifying and monstrous.

The group fell silent as they watched this scene unfold.

Crystal Lynn covered her mouth.

Dexter Luther’s jaw dropped, and he was speechless for a long moment.

The Longbow in Matthew Dawson’s hands nearly fell to the ground. He rubbed his eyes, wondering if he was having an Illusion.

Paul Payne went so far as to drop to his knees, clasping his hands together and muttering something—likely a prayer of thanks to a God.

Everyone’s gazes toward Sean Chandler now held a mix of profound awe and trepidation.

’This Ability...’

’If Sean Chandler wanted to, he alone could solve this world’s Demonization problem, or he could create a Demonic Apocalypse.’

’No, not just this world’s Demonization problem.’

’If he brought this Ability back to Azure Star, back to their own world...’

The others didn’t dare to imagine it.

...

Seraphina Sullivan walked over to Sean Chandler’s side.

’Thankfully, the wish made with the Desire Candy ensures that Sean Chandler won’t betray them.’

’Otherwise, Seraphina Sullivan would be a little afraid of Sean Chandler’s Ability right now.’

"How do you feel now?" she asked.

Sean Chandler looked down at her.

In his eyes, a calm and profound light had replaced what was there before.

"Good," he said, his voice low. "Better than ever."

He raised his hand, looking at the faint blue glow lingering on his palm.

"I can feel them."

He said, "Those Demonic Creatures... I can feel their pain, their madness, their cursed fate. I can also feel... how to help them."

He paused, his gaze shifting to the forest in the distance, still shrouded in a demonic mist.

"I can end all of this."

Seraphina Sullivan was silent for a few seconds, then nodded.

"Then do it," she said. "We’re with you."

Sean Chandler nodded.

"Okay."

....

In the distance, the Demonic Creatures that had been scattering all stopped and looked over in confusion.

They sensed something—an Aura more ancient and powerful than the Blood Ancestor’s, spreading out from that direction.

That Aura contained no desire for slaughter, no crazed curse.

Only peace.

Only... release.

Some of the weaker Demonic Creatures began to slowly retreat, then turned and fled.

The more powerful Demonic Beasts, however, stood their ground, letting out low hisses, as if in worship, or perhaps in anticipation.

The bloody mist in the sky began to thin.

Sunlight pierced through the clouds for the first time, shining down on this land that had been cursed for countless years.

Seraphina Sullivan looked up, feeling that long-lost warmth.

「In the following days」

Seraphina Sullivan led Sean Chandler and the other Players to begin clearing out the remaining four Ancestral Witches.

With Sean Chandler, the "Ancestral Witch’s Bane," what was originally a difficult crusade became surprisingly smooth.

The Viscera Witch hid in the Toxic Mist Swamp to the north, but the mists, which were potent enough to cause corrosion on anything, had no effect on Sean Chandler.

The Blue Crystal Stone on his forehead flashed, and the toxic mist parted as if it had met its natural enemy.

When The Viscera Witch tried to attack him with its ability to corrode internal organs, Sean Chandler immediately used Beastification to turn into a giant bear and swallowed it in one gulp.

The Progenitor Witch of Intellect was entrenched in the Abandoned City to the west, but the city-wide traps and mechanisms were rendered useless before Sean Chandler.

The Spirit Attacks that could confuse the mind were all reflected by the Power of the Demon God’s Pillar.

The Progenitor Witch of Intellect was still calculating madly before its death, but it could never have calculated that it would be defeated by Barbaric Strength.

The Ancestral Witch of the Eye hid on a mountaintop to the east. Its eyes, capable of driving people mad, began to bleed the instant they saw the Crystal Stone on Sean Chandler’s forehead.

The light of the Demon God’s Pillar directly seared its Divine Thought, causing it to fall from the summit, where it was shattered by a single punch from Sean Chandler.

The Progenitor Witch of Limbs roamed the Desert to the south, its speed was unbelievable.

But in the face of Sean Chandler’s Magic Transformation Ability, its speed was meaningless.

Sean Chandler simply pointed a finger, and The Progenitor Witch of Limbs’ legs began to undergo Demonization, twisting and spiraling out of control until it finally collapsed to its knees, where it was finished off by the combined efforts of the other Players who arrived shortly after.

Brandon Barton watched the last Ancestral Witch’s corpse fall and couldn’t help but sigh. "I used to think these Ancestral Witches were invincible monsters, but now..."

"Now they just seem... so-so," Dexter Luther chimed in with a grin. "With Sean around, nothing’s a problem!"

Crystal Lynn shot him a look. "Quiet down. Sean isn’t some trophy for you to show off."

But her eyes were also filled with admiration.

Five Ancestral Witches, all dealt with in less than ten days.

And at the very moment The Progenitor Witch of Limbs fell, a system notification sounded in everyone’s ears:

[Ding! Congratulations Players on completing the hidden mission: The Demon God’s Revenge!]

[Distributing rewards...]

A reward panel appeared before Seraphina Sullivan.

But as for the "recognition from the Demon God’s Divine Status" mentioned in the mission description, she didn’t feel any change.

It wasn’t just her. Dexter Luther, Crystal Lynn, Brandon Barton, and the others all looked at each other in confusion.

"The rewards are over already?"

Dexter Luther scratched his head. "Didn’t it say something about recognition from the Divine Status? Why don’t I feel anything?"

Matthew Dawson checked his own attribute panel and shook his head. "No change for me either."

But in the next second, everyone’s gazes converged on one person.

Sean Chandler.

Because a massive pillar of light descended from the sky, enveloping Sean Chandler completely!

The pillar of light was dazzling, emitting a radiance that was impossible to look at directly.

Within the pillar, countless golden runes could be faintly seen flowing. These runes were ancient and mysterious, each one containing an indescribable Power.

Sean Chandler stood in the center of the pillar, his entire body swallowed by the light.

He looked up at the descending pillar of light, his eyes filled with bewilderment.

"This... This is..."
