Infinite Evolution: Dominating The Apocalypse With My God Tier Items
Chapter 347: The True force Of An Origin Soul
Uriel was in darkness, a scarily real reality; he had no sight, he couldn’t hear, nor could he feel.
The beast had attacked so suddenly and unexpectedly, it snapped his lower half straight off his spine, disconnecting his brain from this channel, basically turning him into a vegetable.
What was worse, the beast’s teeth seemed to have injected a lethal flow of corrupt essence into his body, constantly fighting against his regeneration.
While he was a bronze human with bronze cells, he couldn’t adapt fast enough to the enemy’s overwhelming force; he couldn’t resist his own death.
A scary reality that pushed his psyche to its extreme — in this darkness of the void, he was trapped in his own mind; all he could sense was his lance, and that was what he tried to get to, by any means.
Even when Seth arrived, even while he was raging, Uriel didn’t give Seth any attention — not because he was too focused, but simply because he couldn’t sense the guy’s presence.
To him, everything he knew and could know at that moment was his lance, a direct tie to his class; it would allow him to access a class skill that might allow him to escape death.
Darkness preyed on the edge of his consciousness, tearing into his will and everything that made Uriel Uriel; he was dissolving into the void, and there was nothing he could do to stop it.
His consciousness was fading, but he never once gave up, his arm outstretched, reaching for the lance — this tiny movement of a single limb taking his absolute focus.
And just then, he seemed to feel a slight nudge as something made contact with him, giving him the tiny bump he needed to get his hand around his lance.
With what was left of his mind and essence, he poured his all into the lance, activating the class constellation skill...
Return to Point!
Uriel clung to this tiny ray of hope, the only thing that promised him life, his mind half gone but still able to process a slight flicker of red flashing before him.
The system cared not for his loss of sight, directly flashing the glitchy text before him.
[Error! Error! Error!]
[Essence Unit Requirement unable to be met!]
[Sorting for soul essence...]
[Warning! Warning! Soul construct is too frail to overpower the flow of time...]
[Alert! Foreign link detected...]
[Would you like to establish a connection via the will link? Y/N]
Uriel was slowly losing all lucidity and going delirious, but he still managed to accept the offer despite having zero understanding...
His mind slowly unraveled while the system continued to process silently as Uriel’s soul slowly fractured.
[Origin Soul Bearer Discovered! Energy source requirement met!]
The notification flashed in a sea of nothingness, Uriel’s mind already gone dull, his brain activity going cold, his will dissolving into its last strands.
Seth, overcome by rage, suddenly felt a drain; despite the rudeness, he still tracked the source via his mental space and discovered that something was drawing energy from him via the link he had established with Uriel to bring them into the origin realm’s savage oasis.
Allowing Seth to understand, at that moment, that the link wasn’t only one-way — the other party was skilled enough that they could also interact with his existence through the link.
Seth was confused — after all, wasn’t Uriel dead? Then what’s—
Before he could complete this thought, Seth felt a sudden pull, an interaction with a force that he was surprisingly intimate with — an affinity that dwelled in his will: Time.
From standing over Uriel’s corpse, Seth suddenly found himself standing within a raging river, ever forward. For some reason, Seth attributed this stream to the fourth-dimensional element, Time!
And, surprisingly, Seth felt a force rage out of his soul, a milky gold flow of essence, one he was very much familiar with: pure origin essence.
Just like how world essence was exclusive to the mobilization of a world, pure raw origin essence was an exclusive power source of the origin, the system, the very law of reality that held balance across the endless cosmos.
Seth understood now, Origin Soul... meaning he bore the ability to contain and wield origin force; in fact, this very extreme force dwelled in his soul.
Everything suddenly made sense, but nothing waited for Seth to finish a thought process; around him, the origin force flooded the stream, forcing an abrupt, forceful halt.
At that very moment, the earth’s rotation fell into a cold pause, everything going still as the very force of origin was exerted on the stream of time, reversing the laws of reality and messing with time.
Not on a personal nor small scale, but on a planetary level, forcing the time flow of an entire world to be reversed, dissolving causality and breaking the logic that held nature together.
If any being was here to witness this, they would never have believed it — especially those with the tag of the divine; these special entities understood clearly how tough it was to manipulate time on this scale.
The Origin Soul was a much bigger deal than Seth could ever imagine — the force dwelling in his soul alone would put him at the pinnacle of his universe, at the very least, if he could wield it.
This was a force that directly surpassed divine energy and world essence; this was a force that birthed these myriad energies.
And time, before it, was merely a mistake it could erase with little to no effort...
Seth felt the flood of energy flowing out of his pores, his soul unleashing a tide that reversed the flow of everything.
The earth’s rotation, the events that had all happened, everything and everyone in the planet — all were engulfed by this mass time reversal.
...
In the distance, everything on the other end of the island had turned into a winter-dead forest, the plain almost as though it was engulfed by an ice tundra.
Levitating at the center of the storm was none other than Elaine, or at least what was her shell, her sclera black and her pupils alight with a spectral shade of jade green.
Coils of death churning round her frame, in coordinated flows.
Before her, a huge frame towered over the plain of ice and snow — Jack. He had finally found them, but it seemed he was too late.
And now he could only witness Elaine’s rage when, all of a sudden, it all came to an abrupt halt — time held in place, yet the flow began to recede.
Elaine’s eyes widened in horror, as a cold, scratchy voice escaped her throat. "How is this possible!"
The entity that had possessed Elaine, taking advantage of the mental blow dealt by Brandon’s death to infiltrate her psyche, was a primordial demon race member from the abyssal zone.
It had sneaked into Earth using Elaine’s connection, via her class, to its plane, but it had never imagined it would witness the ultimate time reversal on such a random adventure.
"N-not even Father can do this..." the demon hissed mentally, as the flow of time sped in reverse, its clutches over Elaine slowly loosening.
As time was reversed by exactly 3 minutes and 12 seconds...
And in a blink, everyone and everything found themselves at a point three minutes and a dozen seconds into the past.
