Infinite Evolution: Dominating The Apocalypse With My God Tier Items
Chapter 419: Steady Ascent
[Balance: 0.0000011 Aurum]
Seth didn’t pay much heed to his balance, instead he focused on what he could get with it.
He summoned the shop page to confirm a hunch, the page unraveled and a list rolled out before his gaze...
"Jackpot!" Seth exclaimed, a smile swallowing the frown on his lips.
The entire content of the shop had changed!
Its contents now held enticing qualities despite the fact that the Aurum balance he had in hand was so little...
[Elixir: Vital Flush Peach]
[Rank: Awakened]
[Grade: Leader]
[Price: 0.000001 Aurum]
...
[Item: Moonshard Silhouette]
[Rank: Awakened]
[Grade: Leader]
[Price: 0.000001 Aurum]
...
[Potion: Pathway Cleanse Serum]
[Rank: Awakened]
[Grade: Leader]
[Price: 0.000001 Aurum]
The value of the items displayed had changed drastically, and the variety of resources he could claim had increased.
Potions, elixirs and items, all of the awakened rank, meaning every item displayed was potent enough to give him immediate results.
Now this was an incentive worth provoking his greed, his fingers curling as though already gripping the items.
Now he just had to climb further to get more options added to the list.
"Mmn, yes, I can definitely find something that would help my condition here..." Seth muttered, licking his lips.
He raised his gaze upwards, and by this point he could finally see the backs of various candidates all struggling against the pressure several steps up.
To think even with a no-attribute physique he would still be very much capable of reaching such heights.
Feeling the sharp rush of heat still flowing from his abdomen, he conditioned his mind back to focus.
Exerting force across every fibre of his muscles, the intangible strain of the grand stairway boosting his energy digestion rate.
His cells were bolstered faster and faster, their activity facing a sharp increase and even his silver cells were beginning to show more signs of activity.
The energy flow to the cancer-infested side of the lower end of his brain stems was severed.
Though the cancerous mass of cells still grew, it was not as fast as before...
He raised his feet and took the next step, his vision bleeding red as he focused on the stairs, his foot landing...
His gait was sinking even further...
By this point if one were to calculate the level of might he was displaying, one would find it to be well beyond what a regular mid-stage awakened evolver could display.
His base strength had increased by so much he reckoned once he regained connection to his stat essence, he would become a whole different beast.
But at that point his raw strength should rival other races at the same stat point, his efficiency honed through concentration would then give him the edge.
As stated, the humans had infinite potential, and though their base levels in all attributes were low compared to other races.
But if a human could still somehow find a way to increase the base levels, they would discover that they could keep increasing their base level infinitely.
The human race seemed to be missing the biological limiter that restrained living cells from acting on different spectrums.
"At this rate, when my condition is cured, my strength might rival those of titan-class lifeforms," Seth muttered while gearing his body to take the next step.
His balance had also doubled, but he decided not to open the shop page till his balance was more tangible.
Who knew, maybe the list would hold something exceedingly more useful by then...
Step after step he climbed, leaving a trail of sweat in his wake.
His eyes glinted with a piercing glow of royal purple.
His body gave off no form of energy, simply raw biological mass, his muscles coiling with enough strength to level a mountain in a single punch.
He reckoned if he was to have a rematch against the flame dragon, his raw physical prowess would be on par with a regular dragon race member.
He climbed so high he was beginning to pass by more and more fellow candidates.
Their gazes dug into his back as he passed them by, wondering how the puny human whom they had dismissed so long ago could get to this level.
From above, numerous silhouettes stood at one of the highest steps, the 100th step.
Bearing an unimaginable level of strain, both on the mind and the body.
Yet even they couldn’t help observing the steady ascension of the human below.
The figures on this highest level were none other than...
Dio Sterling, a member of the mermen race...
Tian Chang, a member of the immortal race...
Jarque Vel Dracul, a member of the bloodborn race...
Every one of them an arch-enemy to the human race.
It could be said each had a gruelling motivation to make sure the human never gained this mantle.
The immortals fueled by a fear born of understanding the damage a sin incarnate could wreak.
Since they had experienced one first-hand...
They had every reason to make sure that this mantle didn’t fall into anyone’s grasp.
Meanwhile both the mermen and the bloodborn race had had many run-ins with the humans.
They knew how terrifying the humans had become and couldn’t imagine how much more terrifying humans might become if this mantle fell into their grasp.
It was a risk none of the big names could take, the humans were already difficult enough as an opponent.
The three glanced at one another, cold intentions passing between them...
This human’s pace was slow, but steady, given enough time and he would definitely get to their side.
When that happened and if his pace didn’t slow, the winner would be clear.
They didn’t know how or what he was using to boost his performance to such a degree and they didn’t care as long as they could do something about it.
The bloodborn race candidate shifted his crimson gaze towards an unsuspecting member of the werewolf race.
Activating an innate will-based hypnosis ability, he provoked the poor, calm werewolf into a violent state.
Standing at the 73rd step, the candidate lashed out wildly, pouncing straight at Seth, who had just gotten to its level.
Now while attacking was against the rules, as long as someone could act fast enough to take the human out, the rule wouldn’t matter.
A cold smile touched Jarque’s lips... "Die, human."
