Infinite Mana: I Am The Absolute Supreme
Chapter 150: History of the Universe
Victor stepped through the portal, and the moment he emerged, he found himself standing in the void. There was nothing around him, no stars, no light, and not even a trace of spatial fluctuation. Absolute nothingness stretched endlessly in every direction.
Victor remained silent, waiting for Krecious to explain why he had brought him here. However, before Krecious could say anything, a brilliant light suddenly appeared in the darkness. Victor narrowed his eyes and focused on the strange object, only to discover that it was an orb, perhaps a broken core of some kind.
"What is that thing?" he muttered, his eyes fixed on the mysterious orb. Before he got any answer, the orb suddenly began absorbing energy from its surroundings. Vast amounts of purple Primordial Chaos Energy surged toward it like an endless river, disappearing into the orb as its size slowly increased.
The orb continued absorbing energy until it eventually grew to the size of a small planet. At that moment, Victor saw eight figures emerge from within it. Each possessed a completely different appearance, yet all eight were humanoid in form, resembling ancient cosmic giants who had existed since the beginning of time.
The eight giants silently surrounded the planet, standing like eternal guardians. Time seemed to lose all meaning as the planet continued absorbing the surrounding chaos energy. Gradually, its size increased until it became enormous, eventually transforming into a blazing star that illuminated the surrounding void.
Suddenly, a terrifying creature emerged from the endless chaos and lunged toward the star, attempting to devour it. The eight giants immediately attacked, unleashing terrifying power as they fought the creature with everything they possessed. The battle was incredibly difficult, and all eight giants were pushed to the brink of death.
Just when they were about to fall, an immense amount of Universal Origin Essence suddenly erupted from the star. The mysterious essence surged into the eight giants, rapidly restoring and strengthening their bodies. Empowered by the universe itself, they launched one final assault and finally forced the terrifying creature to retreat.
The star continued absorbing the surrounding chaos essence after the battle. Yet instead of growing larger, it suddenly began shrinking. Its enormous body rapidly contracted until it became nothing more than a tiny point of light suspended within the endless darkness.
Then, suddenly, everything exploded.
Boom!
A tremendous explosion erupted across the void. The Big Bang occurred, and an incomprehensible amount of energy spread in every direction. Space was born from the explosion, followed by countless fragments that eventually condensed into planets, stars, and solar systems.
As time passed, galaxies gradually formed, followed by countless other galaxies. Life began appearing on different planets, and civilizations slowly emerged across the newborn universe. What had once been nothing but chaos had become a vast and magnificent universe filled with countless forms of life.
During this process, Victor witnessed the eight ancient entities fighting countless terrifying creatures that emerged from the Chaos Sea. Some battles lasted for thousands or even millions of years. In many of them, the eight giants were pushed to their limits, yet they continued protecting the universe without retreating.
Victor watched everything like a three-dimensional movie unfolding directly before his eyes. The more he watched, the more he understood what Krecious had brought him here to see. This was not merely history. It was the origin of his universe and the secret behind the eight ancient guardians.
Krecious finally turned toward Victor, his expression solemn. "I believe your partner has already given you some idea about this, but let me explain everything clearly. Our universe is extremely young compared to the other universes within the Chaos Sea."
"The core you saw earlier was once the core of a Supreme Universe that was destroyed during a dimensional war. Our universe was eventually born from the remains of that destroyed universe. That is why it possessed enough foundation to give birth to the Eight Progenitors, who became its guardians."
Krecious paused briefly before continuing. "The region of the Chaos Sea where our universe currently exists is extremely turbulent. Powerful Chaos Beasts constantly roam this region, attempting to devour universes. Our universe has survived countless such threats since its birth, but the situation this time is different."
Victor listened silently, his expression gradually becoming serious.
"The reason the Eight Ancients sent me here is because the core of our universe possesses its own consciousness. When you were born, the Universal Origin itself gave us a prophecy. It stated that you would be the one capable of leading our universe out of the current region of the Chaos Sea."
Krecious’s expression became increasingly solemn. "Normally, a Chaos Body is born only after two Eonic Cycles. Our universe has not even completed one. Only someone possessing a Chaos Physique can freely survive within the Chaos Sea. Even the Eight Ancients can remain outside the universe for only a limited period by relying on the protection of the Universal Origin Essence."
"However, doing so places an enormous burden on the universe itself. Every moment they remain outside, the universe must expend a tremendous amount of Origin Essence to protect them. That is why the Eight Ancients need you to grow as quickly as possible."
Victor’s eyes narrowed slightly.
"Currently, our universe is drifting toward a Chaos Storm. It is powerful enough to destroy even a Grade Three Universe. Unless we have a God King level existence capable of intervening, our universe will not survive once it enters the storm’s range."
Krecious stared directly at Victor. "There is another possibility. If you can become a Cosmic Entity before that happens, you may possess enough power to pull our universe away from the storm."
Victor remained silent for several seconds before asking calmly, "How much time do we have?"
He did not waste time questioning whether Krecious was telling the truth. Something about the man’s words convinced him that there was no reason for him to fabricate such a story. More importantly, Victor could feel the seriousness behind every word.
"We have approximately one hundred years before the universe enters the storm’s range."
"So I have to become a Cosmic Entity within one hundred years?" Victor asked, his brows furrowing. That was an almost impossible task. There were countless realms ahead of him, and reaching the level of a Cosmic Entity in such a short period seemed absurd.
Krecious shook his head. "There is no need to worry about that. We will take you to the center of the universe. Time flows one hundred times slower there than it does outside. Therefore, those one hundred years will give you nearly ten thousand years to cultivate."
"Ten thousand years is the maximum amount of time we can provide you. The Eight Ancients will mobilize all the resources they can to help you reach the required level. Beyond that, there is nothing more we can do."
Victor remained silent for a moment before calmly nodding. "I understand. After my marriage, I’ll come back and speak with you."
Krecious’s expression changed slightly. "About that, are you certain you want to entangle your fate with someone else? Your destiny is still unknown. If you become connected to another person’s fate, there is a possibility that it could affect what awaits you."
The corner of Victor’s mouth twitched. He understood the hidden meaning behind Krecious’s words. The man was practically telling him that marriage could place his partner in danger if something happened to him.
"There is no need to worry about that," Victor replied calmly. "But if you don’t mind, my mother and sister are waiting for me."
Krecious stared at him for a moment before finally nodding. "Very well. However, we do not have much time left. Please return as soon as possible."
With a wave of his hand, Krecious opened another portal. Victor stepped through it without hesitation, and in the next instant, he emerged in Aurora City.
The familiar surroundings immediately replaced the endless void. Victor looked around silently before speaking through their mental connection. "Astrion, what do you think? Was he telling the truth?"
"Probably, Master. Everything he described is indeed possible," Astrion replied after a brief pause. "Around one Eon ago, our dimension experienced a catastrophic war with the Hell Dimension. Numerous Grade Five and even Grade Six Universes were destroyed during that battle. It is entirely possible that this universe was born from the remnants of one of those destroyed universes."
Victor’s eyes widened slightly. "A Grade Five Universe? Does that mean it survived for five Eonic Cycles?"
"No," Astrion replied solemnly. "A Grade Five Universe must complete at least fifty Eonic Cycles before it can reach that level. Furthermore, such a universe will eventually give birth to a Chaos Being."
Victor fell silent for a moment before suddenly asking, "Then how old are you?"
Astrion’s voice carried a faint trace of pride. "I am three Eons old."
Victor’s expression became strange as he processed that information. After a moment, he could not help but mutter, "Then you’re practically a grandfather compared to this universe."
Astrion fell silent.
