Chapter 81: Chaos is about to erupt
Chapter 81: Chaos is about to erupt
Victor was preparing to leave when a sudden sense of unease washed over him.
The feeling appeared without warning. It was not fear, nor was it any danger that he could directly perceive. Instead, it felt like a faint warning from somewhere deep within his instincts. His chest tightened slightly, and a subtle sense of urgency settled over him.
Over the times, Victor had learned to trust such feelings.
Many people would have dismissed it as paranoia, but he was not one of them. He had read enough novels and experienced enough strange events in his own life to understand that seemingly irrational instincts often carried more weight than logic. Countless protagonists had survived impossible situations simply because they had listened to an unexplained feeling of danger.
Victor was not interested in taking chances.
He turned toward his mother and sister.
"Mom, Noelle, I am taking both of you out of here right now."
Tiana blinked in confusion.
"What happened?" she asked.
Noelle also looked at him curiously.
Victor shook his head.
"Nothing has happened yet. I simply do not want to take any unnecessary risks. Please come closer to me."
Although neither of them understood what was going on, they trusted him.
Tiana stepped forward first. Noelle quickly followed.
Victor wrapped one arm around his mother and the other around his sister. Dense mana surged from his body and formed a protective layer around all three of them.
The next moment, space twisted.
Their figures vanished instantly.
But just as they left, a small white dungeon appeared in that room which started getting bigger slowly.
But it was so small that energy readings didn’t go outside.
.....
Victor could now teleport up to ten kilometers in a single jump. Instead of stopping after one teleportation, he continuously folded space around himself and crossed enormous distances in rapid succession.
The scenery around them changed repeatedly.
In only a short period of time, they emerged from the depths of Atlantis and arrived at the surface of the ocean.
The bright sky stretched above them.
The vast sea extended endlessly in every direction.
Tiana’s eyes had nostalgia. After nearly two decades, she finally came here again.
As for Noelle, her eyes were gleaming. She only heard stories and saw them in pictures or videos about sky, sun and moon. But never wathed them in real. Her emotions were the strongest.
Without wasting any time, Victor took out his communicator and contacted Diana.
She arrived less than ten minutes later.
The moment Diana appeared, both Tiana and Noelle were stunned.
Neither of them had expected to see such a beautiful woman.
Diana’s ocean blue hair danced gently in the sea breeze. Her flawless face possessed an ethereal beauty that seemed almost unreal. Even Noelle, who had always been praised for her appearance, could not help but admit that Diana was slightly more beautiful than herself but only slightly.
More importantly, the aura surrounding Diana was enough to make their hearts tremble.
They could immediately tell that she was a genuine Sage.
Their bodies instinctively moved to kneel.
However, Victor quickly stopped them.
"You do not need to bow to anyone from now on."
Both women froze.
Victor casually gestured toward Diana.
"She is Diana, your future daughter-in-law."
The words struck everyone present like lightning.
Diana’s eyes widened.
For a brief moment, the normally calm Sage completely lost her composure.
A faint blush appeared on her beautiful face.
"Victor..." she said helplessly.
Victor merely smiled.
"Is there a problem?"
Diana ignored the question and looked toward Tiana and Noelle.
"Victor, are these your mother and sister?"
"Yes."
Victor nodded.
"This is my mother, Tiana. This is my little sister, Noelle. Please take care of them for me."
Diana’s expression immediately softened.
She respectfully looked toward Tiana.
Meanwhile, Tiana and Noelle were struggling to process the situation.
A Sage.
A being who stood at the very peak of humanity.
Someone who could easily command countless powerful warriors.
Yet Victor had casually introduced her as his future wife.
The contrast was so absurd that neither of them knew how to react.
Victor did not seem interested in explaining anything further.
"And Mom, if you want to meet Dad, Diana can take you to him."
Tiana’s eyes widened.
Before she could ask any questions, Victor disappeared.
Space distorted.
Then he was gone.
An awkward silence immediately descended upon the area.
Diana did not know how she should behave around her future mother-in-law and sister-in-law.
At the same time, Tiana and Noelle had no idea how they were supposed to interact with a Sage on equal footing.
For several seconds, nobody spoke.
The three women simply stood there.
Finally, Diana gathered her courage.
"Umm... Aunty, it is very nice to meet you."
She looked toward Noelle and smiled warmly.
"It is nice to meet you too, Noelle."
Tiana and Noelle exchanged glances.
The situation felt surreal.
A Sage was speaking to them with genuine respect.
Not out of obligation.
Not out of courtesy.
But because she truly regarded them as family.
"Hello, Diana. It is nice to meet you too."
Tiana’s voice carried a trace of uncertainty.
Diana’s smile immediately brightened.
"Please come with me, Aunty."
Noelle remained somewhat nervous and did not speak much.
Diana noticed her nervousness but chose not to pressure her.
Instead, she gently waved her hand.
A sleek flying jet emerged from a storage ring.
The advanced aircraft hovered silently near the ocean.
Both Tiana and Noelle stared at it in shock.
Even after everything they had witnessed today, they still found themselves constantly surprised.
Diana led them aboard.
A moment later, the jet accelerated into the distance and disappeared beyond the horizon.
At the same time, Victor once again returned to Atlantis.
His figure emerged silently within the underwater empire.
This time, however, his intentions were completely different.
Until now, he had been willing to approach the situation through diplomacy and political pressure. He had hoped to identify the responsible individuals and solve the conflict with minimal bloodshed.
That approach was no longer appealing to him.
Someone had dared to target his family.
That alone was enough to cross his bottom line.
Victor had no intention of massacring innocent people. He understood that Atlantis contained both good and bad individuals, just like every other civilization.
However, those who stood against him would not be shown mercy.
To identify them, Victor had chosen a very simple method.
He would make hand himself over to the Atlantians.
His figure appeared directly in the middle of a bustling marketplace.
There was no disguise.
No concealment.
No attempt to hide his identity.
He simply stood there with his hands behind his back.
His eyes remained closed.
For several seconds, nobody reacted.
Then realization spread through the crowd.
The Atlantians immediately noticed that Victor was not one of them.
The atmosphere changed instantly.
Alarms began ringing throughout the city.
A sharp mechanical voice echoed from every direction.
"Intruder detected."
"Human intruder detected."
The previously lively marketplace fell silent.
People stopped walking.
Merchants abandoned their stalls.
Every gaze turned toward the handsome young man standing calmly in the center of the street.
Nobody understood how he had entered Atlantis.
Nobody understood why he was standing there.
Yet everyone instinctively sensed danger.
A danger so profound that it made their skin crawl.
Swish!
Swish!
Figures rapidly appeared from every direction.
Military forces flooded into the area.
Armored soldiers carrying advanced weapons formed defensive positions around Victor.
The civilians were quickly evacuated.
Within moments, the entire marketplace had transformed into a battlefield.
One heavily armored commander stepped forward.
"Intruder. Freeze immediately. Do not move, or we will open fire."
Victor remained motionless. He did not even acknowledge the man.
More soldiers continued arriving. Then came the stronger warriors.
Legendary Rank experts.
Epic Rank Awakeners.
Powerful figures gathered one after another.
Yet despite their overwhelming numbers, none of them dared approach too closely.
Victor was deliberately suppressing his aura.
To their senses, he appeared ordinary.
Yet an indescribable feeling of danger radiated from him.
A thin layer of Chaos Energy surrounded his body.
The energy was nearly invisible, but its presence caused everyone nearby to feel a deep chill in their bones.
It was as though they were standing before a natural disaster disguised as a human being.
Ten minutes passed.
Hundreds of soldiers had surrounded the area.
Several Epic Rank powerhouses had also arrived.
Still, Victor remained perfectly calm.
One of the Epic Rank mages finally stepped forward.
"Intruder, identify yourself. How did you enter our empire?"
Victor did not answer.
He did not even open his eyes.
His expression remained completely indifferent.
The silence only increased everyone’s tension.
Then suddenly, an overwhelming pressure descended from above.
The atmosphere trembled.
Every Atlantian present immediately looked upward.
Victor slowly smiled.
Finally.
The Sages had decided to reveal themselves.
Boom!
A powerful shockwave erupted as a figure descended from the sky.
The ground cracked beneath the impact.
Thirty meters away from Victor stood a woman dressed in an immaculate white battle suit.
Her silver hair flowed behind her.
Her beautiful face was cold and expressionless.
The confidence in her eyes suggested that everything remained under control the moment she arrived.
She radiated the authority of a true Sage.
Victor finally opened his eyes.
His calm gaze met her icy stare.
