Infinite Rebate: I Get Richer Every Time I Spend

Chapter 122: Debt Collection? Try Door Collection

Chapter 122: Debt Collection? Try Door Collection

After the long and exhausting day, both Lucas and Mia were completely drained.

By the time they returned to the room, neither of them had the energy to argue or tease each other anymore.

Somehow, during the night, the distance between them disappeared.

Without realizing it, the two of them ended up sleeping close together.

Mia unconsciously wrapped one arm around Lucas, using him like a giant pillow.

Lucas wasn’t much better.

Half asleep, he had instinctively pulled her closer, making the two of them look no different from a couple who had shared the same bed for years.

The room was quiet.

Only the soft sound of their breathing filled the air.

Morning sunlight slowly filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the bed.

Everything felt peaceful.

Then

Buzz.

Buzz.

Buzz.

Lucas frowned.

The vibration of his phone on the bedside table pulled him out of his sleep.

Still half asleep, he stretched one arm out and blindly searched for the phone.

As he moved, Mia’s eyes slowly fluttered open as well.

She rubbed her eyes lazily before looking at Lucas.

"...Morning..."

Lucas simply nodded absentmindedly while looking at the caller ID.

The moment he saw the name on the screen, his sleepy expression disappeared.

"Daisy?"

He answered immediately.

"Hello?"

The next second~

A girl’s desperate sobbing came through the phone.

"Lucas..."

"P-Please..."

"They... they took my sister..."

Lucas’s expression instantly darkened.

He sat upright on the bed.

"What?"

"What happened?"

"Calm down and tell me."

But Daisy could barely speak through her crying.

"I..."

"I..."

"They took her..."

"I don’t know what to do..."

Her voice trembled so badly that Lucas could hardly understand her.

His heart sank.

He had never heard Daisy sound this terrified before.

Taking a deep breath, Lucas forced himself to stay calm.

"Daisy."

"Listen to me."

"Where are you right now?"

There was a brief silence before Daisy finally managed to answer.

"...The loan company..."

"I’ve been here since yesterday..."

"They won’t let my sister go..."

As soon as Lucas heard the address, he threw the blanket aside and stood up.

"I’m coming."

"Stay where you are."

"I’ll be there as fast as I can."

He ended the call without another word.

His expression had become unusually serious.

Mia had heard almost the entire conversation.

She immediately realized something terrible had happened.

Without asking unnecessary questions, she climbed out of bed and hurried toward the wardrobe.

Lucas was already changing into fresh clothes at incredible speed.

He grabbed the first clean shirt he saw.

His wallet.

His phone.

His car keys.

Everything happened in less than a minute.

Just as he was about to leave the room, he noticed Mia changing as well.

He paused.

"Where are you going?"

Mia looked at him as if the answer was obvious.

"I’m coming with you."

Lucas frowned slightly.

"This might be dangerous."

"I don’t know what we’re walking into."

Mia zipped up her jacket without slowing down.

"Exactly."

"That’s why you shouldn’t go alone."

Lucas stared at her for a second.

Normally, Mia loved joking around.

But today...

There wasn’t even the slightest trace of hesitation in her eyes.

She had already made up her mind.

After everything they had experienced together over the past few days, there was no way she was letting Lucas face whatever waited ahead by himself.

Before Lucas even finished putting on his shoes, Mia was already ready.

Lucas blinked in surprise.

"You..."

"That was fast."

A small smile appeared on Mia’s face.

"I can be quick when it matters."

Lucas let out a helpless sigh.

There was no point arguing anymore.

Every second they wasted could make Daisy’s situation worse.

The two of them hurried downstairs.

Lucas barely bothered locking the front door before sprinting toward the garage.

The Bugatti’s engine roared to life the moment he pressed the ignition.

Without wasting another second, he slammed the accelerator.

The supercar shot out of the garage like a black bullet.

The tires screeched against the pavement before gripping the road.

Mia instinctively grabbed the door handle as the scenery outside blurred into streaks of color.

Lucas’s expression remained cold.

Twenty minutes later...

The roar of the Bugatti echoed through the deserted street.

With a sharp screech, the tires skidded across the pavement before the black supercar came to a sudden stop, leaving faint trails of rubber and a cloud of white smoke behind it.

Lucas glanced at the navigation screen.

The address matched perfectly.

His eyes slowly lifted toward the three-story Western-style building standing across the road.

Its faded exterior looked neglected, and a rusty sign hung crookedly above the entrance.

LOAN SHARK

The words alone made his expression turn even colder.

Mia climbed out of the passenger seat and looked around uneasily.

"This place..."

"It doesn’t look like somewhere decent."

Lucas didn’t answer.

His attention had already landed on the figure standing near the entrance.

"Daisy."

She looked nothing like the energetic girl he remembered.

Her clothes were wrinkled and stained.

Dark circles surrounded her eyes.

Her hair was messy, and her face was pale from exhaustion.

It looked as though she hadn’t slept for an entire night.

The moment Daisy saw Lucas, tears immediately welled up in her eyes.

"Lucas..."

She had been holding herself together for hours.

But seeing someone she trusted made all that determination crumble.

Even Mia’s expression softened.

She could see how desperate Daisy looked.

Inside the building, the loud braking noise had already attracted attention.

Several men leaned out of the second-floor windows.

"What the hell?"

"A Bugatti?"

"No way..."

One of the thugs widened his eyes.

"I’ve never seen one in real life."

He immediately turned and ran upstairs.

"Boss!"

"There’s a rich guy outside!"

"Driving a Bugatti!"

Upstairs, Tharok lazily leaned back in his office chair with his feet resting on the desk.

He casually trimmed his fingernails as if nothing in the world could disturb him.

"A Bugatti?"

His brows furrowed slightly.

He couldn’t think of anyone wealthy enough to own one who would come looking for him.

Curiosity slowly replaced his relaxed expression.

"Let’s see who it is."

Outside, Lucas walked straight toward the entrance.

There wasn’t the slightest hesitation in his steps.

Daisy hurried over.

"Lucas..."

"They have my sister..."

"They’ve kept her inside since yesterday..."

Her voice cracked halfway through.

Lucas simply nodded once.

"I know."

"I’m here now."

He walked up to the large copper door.

The building remained strangely quiet.

No one came out.

No one welcomed them.

Lucas reached out and knocked once.

Silence.

Another few seconds passed.

Still nothing.

His patience disappeared.

Without another word, he stepped back.

Mia’s eyes widened.

"Lucas..."

Before she could finish~

Bang!

His foot slammed into the heavy door with frightening force.

The entire entrance shook violently.

The loud impact echoed through every floor of the building.

Dust drifted down from the ceiling.

Even Daisy jumped in surprise.

She had expected Lucas to negotiate first.

She never imagined he would announce his arrival like this.

A deep dent appeared around the lock.

Inside the building, everyone froze.

"What was that?"

"Did somebody hit the door with a truck?"

Tharok immediately stood up.

"What are you idiots waiting for?"

"Go downstairs!"

Several men grabbed metal pipes and hurried toward the entrance.

Before any of them could unlock the damaged door~

BOOM!
