Infinite Rebate: I Get Richer Every Time I Spend

Chapter 131: Working Late... Into Hell

Chapter 131: Working Late... Into Hell

Before Victor could finish celebrating~ Bang! The office door was shoved open so hard that it slammed against the wall.

Debbie and Victor instinctively turned toward the entrance.

A woman stormed inside without knocking or waiting for permission. Her expression was twisted with rage.

"Victor!"

"What the hell is the meaning of this?!"

The furious shout echoed throughout the office.

Debbie looked over her shoulder. The moment she saw the woman’s face, her eyes narrowed. Fiona.

The very woman who had replaced her. The woman who had shamelessly climbed her way up by becoming Victor’s mistress.

And more importantly...

The woman who had constantly whispered in Victor’s ear, adding fuel to the fire until Debbie was eventually fired.

Fiona was dressed in an expensive designer outfit, her face covered with layers of heavy makeup, making her look glamorous at first glance.

But now...

Her carefully maintained appearance was ruined by pure anger.

She didn’t even glance at Debbie.

Instead, she stared directly at Victor.

"I just received a call from HR!"

"They said I’m fired!"

"What kind of joke is this?!"

Victor didn’t seem the least bit surprised. The smile on his face never disappeared. He casually leaned back in his chair.

"It’s exactly what you heard."

"I’ve decided to replace you."

His voice was frighteningly calm. To Victor... Fiona had never meant anything. She had merely been a temporary substitute. The only reason he had promoted her was to humiliate Debbie after firing her.

Now that Debbie had finally agreed to submit... Fiona had completely lost her value. She was nothing more than a disposable toy.

Hearing those words...

Fiona completely snapped.

"You bastard!"

She screamed hysterically before grabbing everything she could reach.

Crash! A crystal ornament shattered on the floor. Bang! A stack of documents flew across the office.

Pens... Folders... Coffee cups... Anything within arm’s reach was thrown in every direction. The once elegant office instantly became a complete mess.

Seeing things flying toward her, Debbie quickly stood up and stepped aside to avoid being hit. But Fiona had already lost all reason.

She rushed toward Victor and grabbed him by the front of his expensive suit.

"You used me!"

"You promised me this position!"

"You liar!"

Victor’s expression instantly darkened. Without the slightest hesitation~ Smack! He shoved her away violently.

Fiona stumbled backward several steps before barely managing to keep her balance. Humiliated... Angry... Her eyes suddenly landed on Debbie. In an instant, all her hatred found a new target.

"You evil bitch!"

"If it weren’t for you..."

"I wouldn’t have lost everything!"

Like a madwoman, Fiona charged toward Debbie. She grabbed Debbie’s blouse with both hands, trying to tear it apart.

Debbie had tolerated enough already. For days she had endured humiliation... Fear... And endless frustration.

Now... The last thread of her patience finally snapped. Without another word~ Slap!

A loud, crisp slap echoed throughout the office. The force of it sent Fiona spinning sideways before crashing heavily onto the floor.

Silence filled the room. Before Fiona could even recover from the slap, several security guards burst into the office.

Victor had already pressed the emergency button the moment Fiona attacked Debbie.

"Get her out of here!"

The guards didn’t hesitate. Two of them immediately grabbed Fiona by both arms and lifted her off the ground.

"What are you doing?!"

"Let me go!"

"You bastards!"

Fiona struggled wildly, kicking and thrashing like a madwoman. Her expensive high heels flew off as she desperately tried to break free.

"You can’t fire me!"

"I’m going to sue all of you!"

"Victor, you heartless bastard!"

"You used me!" "

And now you’re throwing me away!" Her hysterical screams echoed throughout the entire floor.

The commotion instantly attracted everyone’s attention. Office doors opened one after another. Employees poked their heads out before eventually gathering in the corridor.

Everyone watched in complete disbelief as Fiona was dragged toward the elevator while screaming and cursing nonstop.

She looked nothing like the elegant woman who had proudly shown off her promotion just days earlier.

Her carefully maintained image had completely collapsed.

Even after reaching the lobby downstairs, her furious shouting still echoed throughout the building.

Inside the office, silence gradually returned. Victor immediately changed expressions. The cold, ruthless look from moments ago disappeared, replaced by one full of concern.

He quickly walked toward Debbie.

"Debbie."

"Are you alright?"

"I hope she didn’t hurt you."

As he spoke, he instinctively reached out, brushing invisible dust from her shoulders and sleeves.

The caring act looked almost convincing. Almost.

Debbie immediately stepped backward and pushed his hands away. "I’m fine." Her voice remained calm, but the disgust in her eyes couldn’t be hidden.

Victor awkwardly withdrew his hand before forcing another smile.

"I’m glad you’re okay."

"As for everything that happened before..."

"We’ll put it behind us."

He deliberately changed the subject. "Your office has already been cleared." "You can move back in immediately."

"I’ve already informed HR to restore all your previous privileges."

He paused before adding,

"Actually..."

"There happens to be a lot of unfinished work waiting for you."

"Several important case files still need to be organized today."

"So..." "I’m going to need you to stay a little later tonight."

"You’ll be working overtime."

"But don’t worry." "I’ll personally approve overtime pay."

Victor smiled confidently. In his mind, this was the perfect opportunity. Before today, Debbie had always refused to stay alone with him. Now... He had a legitimate excuse.

An empty office. A quiet night. Just the two of them. Exactly what he wanted.

Debbie naturally saw through his intentions the moment he spoke. She almost laughed. So... This was his real objective.

He wanted to keep her in the office after everyone else had gone home. Just like Chloe had predicted. Every single move. Every single excuse.

The man truly never changed. Suppressing the disgust rising in her heart, Debbie simply nodded

"...Alright."

"I’ll stay."

Hearing that answer, Victor’s smile grew even wider. He had no idea...

With every step of his plan...

He was walking deeper into the trap waiting for him.
