Although Jason didn’t agree with Victoria’s advice, he had no intention of arguing with her.

He had his own plans. His own ambitions.

Besides, he knew she was saying it because she genuinely wanted the best for him.

He took another bite of toast and nodded.

"Yeah, I know."

If he relied on a part-time job or an ordinary career alone, he would never be able to cover Sarah’s medical expenses in this lifetime.

But this time, things were different.

He had been given a second chance at life.

And with the system now in his head, he had access to opportunities that ordinary people could only dream about.

Maybe fate really had opened a door for him.

He just had to be bold enough to walk through it.

The truth was, Jason had no idea how far he would go in the future.

For now, though, he had two goals.

In his personal life, he wanted to live freely, surround himself with beautiful women, and enjoy everything his second chance had to offer.

As for his career...

He at least wanted to become the richest man in the state.

Standing at the top of the business world, looking down at everything he’d built while having beautiful women by his side...

Just imagining it made his blood stir.

He was so lost in the fantasy that he almost didn’t notice the system’s voice.

[Ding!]

[A successful man is far more attractive than a man who only knows how to be nice.]

[Once you become wealthy, women who were once completely out of reach will naturally come to you.]

[Mission: Reach $1,000,000 in net worth.]

[Reward: Premium Secretary Recruitment Card.]

Jason nearly choked on his toast.

"A premium secretary card?"

His eyes widened slightly.

The system really knew how to tempt him.

He quickly swallowed and asked silently,

’System, what’s the card actually for?’

[Ding!]

[After activation, the Premium Secretary Recruitment Card will recruit a secretary according to the Host’s preferred specifications.]

[The recruited secretary will possess exceptional professional abilities and advanced education.]

[Loyalty: 100%.]

Jason’s eyebrows rose.

That was one hell of a reward.

A highly educated, capable secretary with absolute loyalty?

The possibilities immediately began running through his mind.

He coughed lightly and hid the grin threatening to appear on his face.

’If there’s work, she handles it.’

’And if there isn’t any work...’

He stopped himself before his imagination went too far.

Either way, one million dollars wasn’t exactly an impossible goal.

With the system helping him, he could probably reach it within days if everything went according to plan.

Jason finished breakfast soon after.

He pushed his chair back and stood.

"Aunt Victoria, Emma, I’m done eating. I’m heading to campus. I’ll be back tonight."

Victoria immediately looked up.

"Okay. Be careful on the way there, and don’t ride that motorcycle like you’re trying to break the speed limit."

Her tone was gentle but firm.

Jason smiled.

"I won’t."

Emma waved from across the table.

"Bye, Jason. See you tonight."

"See you."

Jason grabbed his things and headed downstairs.

The moment he stepped outside, the cool morning air washed over him.

The neighborhood was already coming alive. Cars rolled down the street, people hurried toward work, and the smell of freshly brewed coffee drifted from a nearby café.

Jason took a deep breath.

For once, everything felt peaceful.

He started his motorcycle and pulled onto the road.

Today, he had an appointment with Detective Rivera.

The detective had promised to give him the photographs and other evidence they had gathered on Olivia and Professor Wang.

But before that, Jason had something else to take care of.

The gym.

"System, show me my unfinished missions."

[Ding!]

[Mission One: Recover the money the Host invested in Olivia by any means necessary.]

[Reward: 3x the amount recovered + Charm +10.]

[Additional progression reward: Licking Dog.]

[Unlock condition: Complete the mission.]

[Mission Two: Actively cooperate with Victoria’s private tutoring sessions.]

[Reward: $20,000.]

[Recurring Mission.]

[Mission Three: Become a gym member.]

[Reward: $25,000.]

[Mission Four: Reach $1,000,000 in net worth.]

[Reward: Premium Secretary Recruitment Card.]

Jason read through the list.

He had accumulated quite a few missions.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t complete everything at once.

Mission One would take some preparation, while Mission Three could be completed almost immediately.

And the reward was ridiculously generous for something as simple as signing up at a gym.

Naturally, it came first.

Jason twisted the throttle.

The motorcycle surged forward, the wind rushing past his face.

A little while later, he arrived at Riverside Mall.

He parked the motorcycle and headed inside.

The gym was located on the second floor.

Jason had passed by it several times before but had never bothered going inside.

Today, that changed.

The gym was surprisingly impressive.

The entire place was clean and spacious, with rows of modern equipment arranged across the polished floor. Large windows allowed plenty of sunlight inside, while several members were already warming up on treadmills and lifting weights.

It was also conveniently located.

The gym was only about ten minutes from his apartment and roughly the same distance from campus.

Perfect.

Jason walked toward the front desk.

"Hi. I’d like to sign up for a membership."

The receptionist looked up.

She was a young woman wearing a white athletic tank top and gray leggings. Her appearance was pleasant, with clear skin and neatly tied-back hair. More noticeable was her athletic figure, which suggested that she actually spent plenty of time working out.

She smiled professionally.

"Absolutely. We’re running a membership special right now. Our annual membership is $149, and the monthly plan is $17. Would you like the monthly or annual membership?"

"Annual."

Jason didn’t even hesitate.

The price was insignificant to him.

The receptionist’s smile became noticeably brighter.

"Great choice. Come over here and I’ll get you registered."

She stood and motioned for him to follow.

Jason casually glanced at her before following.

A few minutes later, the paperwork was finished.

The receptionist handed him his membership card.

"All set. Here’s your gym card."

Jason took it.

[Ding!]

[Mission Complete.]

[Mission: Become a gym member.]

[Reward: $25,000.]

Jason’s lips curved upward.

Twenty-five thousand dollars for signing a membership form.

He could get used to this.

The receptionist continued,

"Since you’re new, would you like to work with one of our personal trainers? We have both male and female trainers. All of them are professionally certified."

Jason hadn’t originally planned on hiring a trainer.

Then the system spoke again.

[Ding!]

[Joining a gym is only the first step.]

[Proper training will greatly improve the Host’s physical development.]

[Mission: Purchase forty personal training sessions.]

[Reward: $25,000 + Physique +1.]

Jason’s eyes immediately lit up.

Forty sessions?

For another twenty-five thousand dollars and a permanent physique increase?

There was no reason to refuse.

"Sure," he said. "I’d like a female trainer."

He had nothing against male trainers.

He simply preferred working with a woman.

The receptionist nodded.

"Of course. You’re early, so most of our trainers have just arrived. They’re getting changed right now. You can meet them and choose whoever suits you."

Jason followed her toward the locker area.

The receptionist stopped before the women’s training lounge, where several female trainers were gathered.

She pointed toward a tall, heavily built woman.

"This is our strength specialist. She’s excellent at helping clients put on muscle."

Jason looked at the woman.

She was tall, broad-shouldered, and covered in visible acne scars. Her expression was naturally severe, making her look as though she was permanently annoyed.

Jason’s enthusiasm immediately dropped.

The woman noticed him looking.

Her eyes narrowed slightly.

Then she crossed her arms.

"You’re the new client?"

Her voice was blunt.

Jason gave a polite smile.

"Yeah."

She looked him over from head to toe.

"You don’t look like you’ve ever touched a dumbbell."

Jason’s mouth twitched.

Apparently, choosing a trainer wasn’t going to be as simple as he’d hoped.
