Chapter 91 — The Sixth Key

The ancient door stood silently before them.

Five symbols were glowing across its surface, each corresponding to one of the Origin Keys. Only the sixth symbol remained dark, waiting for the final connection.

Elara stood several steps away from the door, one hand pressed against her chest.

"The sixth key is inside me."

Aether looked at her calmly. "Then activating it should open the door."

Elara hesitated. "If I activate it, all six keys will synchronize. But I don't know what will happen to me."

Aether's expression immediately became serious.

"Then don't force it."

Everyone looked toward him.

Elara seemed surprised. "But we've come this far."

"That doesn't mean we gamble with your life."

Lyra nodded. "He's right. We don't even know what this formation will do once all six keys connect."

Seris added, "And if the sixth key is connected directly to your body, forcing it could cause serious damage."

Elara looked at them for a moment before giving a small smile.

"You people really are different."

Aether ignored the comment and approached the ancient door.

He placed his palm against its surface and activated Origin Sense.

A strange flow of Origin Energy immediately entered his perception.

"There."

Evelyn stepped closer. "What did you find?"

"The door isn't waiting for someone to insert the sixth key. The six symbols are connected to the formation itself."

Aether examined the grooves surrounding the symbols.

"The five keys have already established five connections. The sixth only needs to complete the circuit."

Elara understood.

"So I only need to release enough energy to activate the connection."

"Exactly. But stop immediately if anything feels wrong."

Elara nodded.

She walked toward the sixth symbol and placed her palm against it.

A faint silver light began flowing from her body.

The sixth symbol slowly illuminated.

Then the other five symbols responded.

Crimson.

Blue.

Green.

Gold.

White.

Finally, the sixth symbol became silver.

Six streams of Origin Energy connected across the surface of the door.

The entire mountain shook.

Aether immediately raised his guard.

The ancient doors slowly opened.

Beyond them was an enormous underground cavern.

Six gigantic pillars stood around a circular platform, each connected by lines of ancient formations. At the center floated a massive sphere of condensed Origin Energy.

It rotated slowly in complete silence.

Evelyn's eyes widened.

"The Origin Heart."

Aether stared at the enormous sphere.

So this was the center of the Continental Origin Formation.

But something was wrong.

Thin black cracks covered the surface of the Origin Heart.

Aether's eyes narrowed.

"Someone has already corrupted it."

Before anyone could respond, a voice came from behind them.

"Correct."

Everyone turned.

The Stage 9 Blackridge cultivator stood at the entrance.

Dozens of Blackridge warriors stood behind him.

The man smiled.

"You finally opened the door for us."

Aether's grip tightened around his weapon.

The man raised his hand.

"Now we can begin."
