Chapter 743: Chapter 743 - Meeting Another Sleeping Beauty (Part 2)

When I saw the unknown dragon slump back to the ground, the first thing that came to my mind was, "Damn it! You are not allowed to die!"

I hurriedly placed the egg into Altair’s arms but the egg was stubbornly stuck on my hands for some reason. Through gritted teeth and using an angry tone, I spoke in draconic towards the egg, "Origato gethrisj harkt jaka usv dout isthasy ui gethrisjir ekess nelithik." (Let go right now or your brother is going to die.)

As if I uttered a magic chant, the egg vibrated then detached from my hand and obediently nestled onto Altair’s very unwilling arms. He looked at me with blame but did not dare to complain because he knew that it is more important to save the man laying on the ground.

I quickly knelt down next to the unconscious dragon and used my mana to scan his body for any injuries, illnesses or what not. Luckily, he was just malnourished from not having any type of sustenance for who knows how many years and the fact that mana is almost non-existent in the human realm.

Since he is withering away every second he stayed in the human realm, I had no choice but to unceremoniously carry him in my arms like a princess. He is such a damn heavy princess.

This is the first time I carried a dragon in human form. He is nowhere near the weight I remembered when I carried Makisig before. That guy’s real form was that of a giant too!

I telepathically called for Laerad and asked him to teleport the whole mountain in front of me to the world tree realm, right inside the new Vlaelmundr. I heard a short, "Hmm" from the other side and without further ado, a huge circle made up of numerous symbols appeared on top of the mountain made of soil and bones then the whole thing disappeared in a blink of an eye.

Since we are pressed for time, I had no choice but to bring Altair with me to the world tree realm as well. This is the first time that any of my deity fiancès were given a special permission to enter the other realm.

There has always been a tacit understanding between Eieneos and the world tree realm to not interfere with each others’ affairs unless it was extremely necessary. The world tree realm does exist in a separate territory under Laerad’s full control so he has the final say as to who us allowed to enter.

As Altair and I appeared smack in the middle of the new Vlaelmundr, Laerad was already there waiting for us. He was looking around while contemplating something. When he noticed my arrival, he hurriedly walked towards me with relief etched on his face.

He looked for barely a few seconds at Altair and the egg in his arms then on the man I am carrying in my arms before he looked back to my face. He did not ask any questions but he also totally ignored Altair that was standing next to me. There was no polite greeting whatsoever.

He then smiled at me then said, "You are finally here. Please help me decide where to put that mountain. I am not really good at landscaping, honestly."

I also started thinking of a place to put the mountain of bones and these two siblings. After some time, I smirked and told Laerad to place it behind the rune altar which was meant to be the territory for the purple dragons. He looked at me in confusion but still nodded his head then all of us was teleported there.

Right after reappearing at the right spot, Laerad simply waved his hand and the same huge magic circle appeared high in the sky. This time though, it was not to take something but to spit out something. The huge mountain slowly descended from the center of the magic circle until its base touched the ground with a loud thud that caused the ground to shake for several seconds.

For some reason, I have a feeling that I shouldn’t return this guy and the egg inside the cave where I found them so I built a small stone hut at the foot of the said mountain. I also made a small nest made of soft cloth on one corner then placed the egg on top of it. There was also a simple bed where I laid the unconscious man.

I sighed at the suddeness of everything that has happened within the last hour. I placed some healing spells on the man for good measure. As for food, I technically don’t know much about the dragon diet but meat should be a staple so I left fresh meat, fruits and vegetables on the table and placed preservation magic on it.

I believe that I have done as much as I can for this pair of dragon siblings. I also brought the bones of their father inside the realm since they seemed to not want to be apart whether in life or death. As for their life after this, I trust that the realm can provide them with everything they might need.

I walked towards Laerad and nodded firmly at him. He responded, "I’ll monitor him from the hut. I have full control of the whole realm so I will know immediately if he wakes up. I will explain the rental agreement to him too."

I couldn’t help but laugh at how nonchalant Laerad was with the idea of telling a dragon that they have to pay rent right after they wake up. I trust him though that he can come into an agreement with this new dragon tenant.

If all else fails, we can just kick them out back to the human realm. I know it seems heartless but me and Laerad have already agreed not to cater to freeloaders and potential traitors so our only condition for everybody that wanted to stay in the realm was to pay rent. If they don’t want to pay it then they can’t stay. It was as simple as that.

I gave Laerad a quick kiss on the lips and a tight hug. I whispered to him that he can teleport us back from where me and Altair were before so we can continue with our errands. My husband hugged back tight and made me promise to visit him soon.

With that short goodbye, me and Altair were both sent out of the world tree realm in just a few seconds. After we’re back in the human realm, I started to bid Altair goodbye since I have a ton of other things to do.

I was about to leave when he called after me and asked, "I helped you find that bronze dragon. There was even two of them if you think about it. Don’t I deserve a better reward than just a verbal thanks and a hurried farewell?"
