Innate Immortal Seed

Chapter 602: Integrating True Intent into the Sword Array

“This is impossible!”

The Blood Demon roared in disbelief. He had dared to hunt down any Nascent Soul Cultivator who crossed his path, not just out of confidence in his strength, but more importantly, because he relied on his race’s Innate Divine Abilities.

The Hundred Demons Blood Sea Technique was derived from the Blood Demon Race’s Blood God Scripture, making it one of the top cultivation techniques in the Human World for sheer survivability.

The original Cultivation Technique was even more outrageous. Every Blood Demon was naturally attuned to it; as long as they soaked in the ancient Blood Sea, their strength would increase indefinitely.

Even if they suffered Divine Soul Annihilation out in the world, they could be reborn from a Blood Core stored within the Blood Sea.

As for other abilities—transferring injuries, using Blood Shadow Substitute Death, or achieving Blood Rebirth—he could do them all with ease.

This was why his combat style was so aggressive, and why he had no fear of falling into traps or being surrounded.

During the Middle Ancient period, the Blood Demon slaughtered millions to feast on them as Blood Food, incurring the wrath of both heaven and humanity and landing himself on the Moral Sect’s Demon Slaying List.

Several Divinity Transformation Cultivators of the Human Race set multiple ambushes for him, and some even succeeded in killing him.

But to the Blood Demon, it was nothing more than the loss of a Blood God avatar and a hundred years of wasted time.

With an endless supply of flesh-and-blood creatures, it was all too easy for the Blood Demon to rebuild his realm.

“You’ve entered my Sword Array and think you can leave so easily? Let me show you… now that I have a compatible Cultivation Technique, this is the true Star River Sword Array!”

Bai Zichen was surrounded by the Twelve Stars, his form deep within the starry expanse as his voice drifted from afar.

Only after evolving the Sword Array with the Cave Profound Godslaying Sword Scripture did he finally understand how the Star River Sword Monarch had distinguished himself among the many powerful Sword Cultivators of the Taibai Sword Sect with this one array. He now saw why it had been called the second-greatest Sword Array in the world, even when the Sword Monarch himself had yet to reach Divinity Transformation.

If one were to say the previous Star River Sword Array, powered by the Fire Dragon Returning Essence Scripture, was a silent and vast starry sky where the Twelve Stars rose and fell in their normal courses…

…then the starry sky under the Cave Profound Godslaying Sword Scripture was now filled with killing intent, a murderous aura permeating the entire heaven and earth.

With a single thought from the array master, any enemy within would become an anomaly to the starry sky, ostracized by heaven and earth, and rejected by the world itself.

The aura of any being who entered the array was captured. No matter what method they used, escape was impossible so long as their power did not exceed the upper limit of the strongest Flying Sword within the formation.

This held true even for the legendary Vacuum Holy Body, which could ignore all Forbidden restrictions and traverse the void, or for the Blood Demon’s method of rebirth in another location.

Their final destination would inevitably be back inside the Star River Sword Array.

Within the array, the Flying Swords were elevated by one tier, making them equivalent to Tier Five Flying Swords.

This meant that only a Tier Six technique could ignore the lockdown of this starry sky and recall one’s power from afar.

The Twelve Stars shone in unison, which was in itself a volley of ten thousand rays of Sword Light. Combined with the Sword Light Division Realm, the entire world was on the verge of being submerged in Sword Light.

The endless variety of Sword Lights overwhelmed the Blood Demon. He could block a thousand, even ten thousand, but his true body was still struck by the waves that followed.

He transformed into a Blood Shadow to escape and split off clone after clone, but under the saturation of attacks within the Star River Sword Array, all these Divine Techniques were rendered useless.

It didn’t matter which Blood Shadow was his true self; the moment one appeared, it was bombarded by hundreds of thousands of rays of Sword Light.

His Escape Technique might be godlike, capable of covering a thousand miles in an instant, but the space beneath the stars had become an ocean of Sword Light. No matter where he went, he could not escape the blades raining down from above.

The Blood Demon was filled with frustration. ‘I just don’t get it,’ he thought. ‘How can a mere Mid-Stage Nascent Soul Sword Cultivator sustain this Sword Array for longer than the Star River Sword Monarch himself ever could?’

Even with the Cave Profound Godslaying Sword Scripture, the True Essence consumption for such a Sword Array was astronomical.

Otherwise, the Star River Sword Monarch wouldn’t have exhausted his life force to the point of death just to keep the Sword Array running.

“Fatian Xiangdi, True Demon Holy Body!”

The Blood Demon tore open his chest. A mass of black blood roiled out, instantly growing into a towering figure thousands of feet tall.

His form continued to expand as he raised both palms, reaching for one of the stars before him.

“Moon Xuan, switch!”

Nascent Soul Xiaobai’s face hardened. It reached out, flicked the Supreme Qingwei Sword Box, and the nearest Moon Xuan Sword instantly swapped places with the Thunder Sound Sword.

The two giant palms closed in on the star, but in the next instant, it transformed into a bright moon. The hands plunged into it as if dipping into a pool, shattering the perfect moon into fragmented Moonlight that rippled outward.

When the giant palms withdrew, the fragments coalesced back into a full moon, casting its cold light once more.

Innumerable rays of Moonlight Sword Light unfurled, piercing the two giant palms until they were riddled with holes, causing a bloody rain to fall from the sky.

In that brief moment, the Starry Sky Heaven and Earth continued to evolve, and the Twelve Stars suddenly ascended a level higher.

Its rate of expansion was clearly faster than that of the Blood Demon’s True Demon Holy Body.

Once the Twelve Stars reoriented themselves, such a massive target took incomparably more damage than before.

In less than an hour, the Blood Demon was killed again, his body collapsing with a deafening crash.

An instant later, just as before, he was reborn inside the Sword Array.

This time, the Blood Demon had learned his lesson. The moment he appeared, he used an Innate Divine Ability to conceal his form.

‘No, he didn’t just conceal his form. He turned into a pool of blood and seeped into the earth… His true self has become a single particle within that blood, and I’ve lost track of it.’

Within the Sword Array, Bai Zichen was everything, which meant he was constantly in a state of perceiving things As Clear as Daylight.

Thanks to the Sword Array’s amplification, not even a Divinity Transformation Cultivator could have hidden their presence from him.

He merely sneered at the Blood Demon’s maneuver, swiped a hand across the twelve Sword Shadows on the Sword Box, and reversed them all.

The stars began to fall, the heavens collapsed, and the earth sundered. Under its master’s control, the Starry Sky Heaven and Earth instantly entered a state of self-destruction.

Space crumbled inch by inch as heaven and earth returned to Chaos. Earth, water, wind, and fire raged without end, refining all of creation into nothingness.

A single speck of dirt suddenly shot forth. The aura of a Blood Shadow flared from it as it tried to escape the Sword Array’s perimeter.
