Evelyne reacted before Ron properly landed.

She had already established healing links with the main fighters before the battle began, so the moment his ribs cracked, pale-green Life energy immediately surged into his body.

The pain spreading across his side began weakening as the damaged bones slowly repaired themselves.

Ron coughed blood onto the broken street.

"Son of a bitch..."

Far away, Cain noticed what had happened, and his expression twitched.

’This fucking bastard.’

For a moment, he truly wanted to curse the shit out of that bastard right in front of his face.

Mo Xuanye’s job was simple.

He only needed to hold the Youngest Prince back long enough for everyone else to finish their battles.

Instead, that lunatic had somehow managed to provoke Serath into becoming serious.

Cain’s attention remained away from his own opponent for less than a second.

The 3rd Echelon commander appeared beside him before Cain could properly turn.

A fist slammed into his side.

BANG!

Several ribs cracked beneath the impact.

Cain’s body was launched across the avenue and crashed through the remains of a broken stone structure before continuing to tumble across the ground.

He finally stopped dozens of meters away.

Dust covered his torn clothes, while a thin line of blood appeared at the corner of his mouth.

The commander slowly lowered his fist.

"Perhaps you should worry about yourself."

Cain remained on the ground for a moment.

Warm energy was already flowing through his injured side.

The fractured ribs began pulling themselves back together as Undying God Body repaired the damage, while the minor injuries his internal organs had suffered recovered alongside them.

Cain pushed himself upright.

"Yeah."

He wiped the blood from his mouth.

"Probably."

Back on the other side of the battlefield, the smile on Mo Xuanye’s face had disappeared.

Not because he was afraid, but his black eyes had simply become far more focused.

Serath’s casual tail strike had genuinely surprised him.

Ron was already a 3rd Echelon, and more importantly, he was far from an ordinary one. His speed alone made him troublesome even for other powerful beings at the same Echelon.

Yet Serath had sent him flying with a movement that barely looked like an attack.

That was enough for Mo Xuanye to stop treating the fight as something he could casually test.

Black Heavenly Demon Qi erupted from his body as he unleashed his (Demon Subduing the Heavens) skill.

The ground beneath his feet cracked as the energy circulating through him intensified sharply.

The deeper power hidden within Heavenly Demon True Body was released.

Mo Xuanye’s presence changed immediately.

His muscles tightened beneath his clothes as Heavenly Demon Qi reinforced his body from within, strengthening his bones and Mana pathways while allowing him to release far more power than before.

Serath noticed the change.

A satisfied smile appeared on his face.

"So you were still hiding something."

Mo Xuanye stepped forward, the street fractured beneath his foot.

"Naturally." Mo Xuanye smiled faintly.

Farther away, Ron had already stood again.

The healing light surrounding his ribs was beginning to fade as Evelyne finished healing his injuries.

His gaze moved toward Serath before shifting toward Mo Xuanye.

His expression darkened.

"You fuckers."

Neither of them looked at him.

That somehow made it worse in his eyes.

Ron wiped the blood from his mouth with his thumb.

"I won’t forgive either of you for this."

Mo Xuanye finally glanced toward him.

Serath merely laughed it off.

Ron’s expression became even uglier.

Then Lightning exploded from his body.

Thunder God Overdrive surged through him as enormous amounts of Lightning Mana flooded his muscles and Mana pathways.

The strain appeared immediately, but Ron ignored it as he instantly vanished from his spot.

This time, even Serath’s eyes widened slightly.

Ron appeared beside him with the spear already thrusting toward the side of his neck.

Serath reacted instantly.

His scaled left hand swept outward.

CLANG!

Dragon claws struck against the spear and knocked the weapon aside.

The armored tail followed immediately afterward.

Ron had been waiting for it.

Lightning burst beneath his feet again.

He disappeared before the tail could reach him, causing the heavy limb to tear through empty space before Ron reappeared several meters away.

Serath turned toward him.

"Interesting."

Ron responded by raising his middle finger.

"Interesting, my ass."

On the other side of the battlefield, Cain saw the exchange and became increasingly annoyed.

Everything was escalating far too quickly.

Serath had already transformed.

Mo Xuanye had released a much greater portion of his strength.

Ron was pushing Thunder God Overdrive harder despite having just been injured.

If their battle continued developing at this pace, Cain no longer had the luxury of slowly wearing down the commander in front of him.

He needed to finish this as soon as possible.

Cain looked at the 3rd Echelon approaching him.

The bastard had been throwing him around since their fight started.

Cain’s clothes were torn in several places, and dried blood stained one side of his shirt. Most of his injuries had already healed, leaving behind little evidence except the ruined clothes and lingering soreness throughout his body.

He rolled his neck once.

A faint crack sounded as his expression darkened.

"I’m also done with this bullshit."

The commander slowed slightly.

Cain’s irritation gradually turned into a grin.

"You bastard..."

True Ruin Energy surged through his body.

Far more than before.

Dark-gray energy flooded his muscles and pushed through his Mana pathways with enough intensity to create immediate strain.

Minor damage appeared inside his body because of it.

The Undying God Body began repairing it as quickly as it formed.

Cain raised his sword, True Ruin Energy covered the blade so densely that the metal beneath it disappeared completely.

"You’re fucking dead after trashing me around this whole time."

The commander’s expression hardened when he noticed the temperature around them began rising.

A brilliant golden-white light appeared above Cain.

Origin Solar Flame expanded outward as a massive Sun manifested over his head.

The surrounding street was immediately illuminated by its radiance.
