Chapter 198: 198 | Ultimate Attacks

"BANG!"

Shockwave exploded out as the two fighters separated, each launching backward to opposite ends of what remained of the office.

Dexter’s feet dug trenches in the cracked marble as he slid to a stop near the destroyed doorway.

The transformed middle-aged man landed on the far side, his massive four-meter frame cracking the floor beneath his weight

The office was mostly gone. The walls destroyed, revealing the entire office to the outside world.

The ground had several holes in them too

The middle aged man’s expression was grim as he stared down at Dexter.

"I must admit," His voice rumbling like distant thunder. "You are quite strong."

"But I’ve been fighting way before your mother was even born," the man continued. His dark eyes narrowed. His grip on his enlarged silver sword shifted, the blade angling upward. "Now, let me show you the power of a true Ultra Realm expert."

The moment he raised his sword the air immediately changed drastically.

The turbulent mana surging like a violent river from their battle suddenly inverted and began to spiral toward the raised blade like vacuum.

In that split second, darkness descended like nightfall.

The darkness swallowed every single light in ten surrounding as everything seem to vanish.

Dexter’s eyes narrowed as he watched the strange darkness consume the office.

"Crimson Moon Slash."

As his voice landed, the darkness pulsed as something illuminated directly behind him!

The light surged and formed a crescent moon directly behind the man.

The crescent moon was large, about three meters tall as it cascaded crimson blood like rays of light to the enter office.

Suddenly, the man smirked as he slashed directly at Dexter.

In that split second, the crimson moon obeyed.

It suddenly moved as it slashed down at Dexter, spinning rapidly as it flew.

"Whoosh!"

The air screamed in its wake as a massive pressure surged directly at Dexter.

Dexter’s face turned grim.

The power behind this attack was on a completely different level from anything the man had demonstrated before.

Dexter raised his saber.

"Don’t think you’re the only one with a technique," he muttered through gritted teeth.

He activated the first form of the Thunder God Saber Art.

God Slayer Flash.

Thunder crackled around Dexter’s body. Blue-white arcs of electricity exploded from his skin, dancing along his arms, his shoulders, his neck.

His hair lifted, standing on end, each strand crackling with electrical charge.

But that wasn’t all.

Dexter simultaneously activated his bloodline skill. Flame Slash.

Violet flames erupted from his blade, merging with the blue lightning.

Fire and lightning. Two of the most volatile, incompatible elemental forces in existence, brought together on the edge of a single weapon.

Previously, this combination wouldn’t have been possible. Thunder and flame repelled each other and attempting to merge them would have resulted in a violent reaction.

Before his flame evolved to become an heavenly flame!

The Void Star Saber erupted with a blinding cascade of crimson and blue. Fire and lightning wrapped around each other in a double helix of destructive energy, climbing the blade in spiraling tendrils that reached upward and outward, painting the darkness with streaks of violent color.

Dexter took a single step forward as he slashed out.

The two attacks collided and everywhere went silent for a moment.

"KA-BOOOOOOOOM!!!"

What happened was an event. A moment where the fabric of reality bent, warped, and briefly tore. The collision point between the crimson moon and the flame-thunder slash became a singularity of compressed energy so dense that the air around it turned to plasma.

Then it released.

BOOOOOOM!!!

A mushroom cloud of mixed energy exploded upward. Crimson and blue and white and black, all swirling together in a towering column that punched through the remains of the ceiling, through the floors above, through the roof of the building, and into the sky. The column rose hundreds of meters, visible from across the city like a beacon.

The shockwave that followed was total.

The next, every molecule of air in a fifty-meter radius was moving outward at supersonic speed.

The remaining walls of the office disintegrated. The concrete and steel and glass reduced to powder in an instant, the particles carried outward by the shockwave like sand in a hurricane.

The floor beneath them gave way entirely, replaced by a jagged hole that extended downward through multiple floors.

Marcus was hit.

The shockwave caught him as he lay flattened against the floor, already barely conscious, already broken from the earlier impacts.

The wall of compressed air struck his body with the force of a freight train. His mouth opened. Blood erupted from his lips in a thick, dark spray. His chest compressed. His ribs cracked. His internal organs shifted violently against each other.

He was a Superhuman Realm cultivator. His body was enhanced. Toughened. Reinforced by years of cultivation. An ordinary human would have been vaporized.

Marcus was merely almost killed.

Blood poured from his ears. His nose. His mouth. His eyes rolled upward, showing white. His body went limp, his mind shutting down to escape the pain. He lost consciousness immediately, his broken body slumping against the debris-covered floor like a discarded puppet.

Dexter was blasted backward.

The shockwave caught him and threw him like a leaf in a hurricane as he tumbled through the air, spinning, crashing through the remains of the office doorway, through the hallway wall, and into the corridor beyond.

He stood there and with The Void Star Saber still gripped in his right hand, its blade dimmed, the flame-thunder combination exhausted. His Flame Demon Possession had faded during the collision.

But he was alive.

The transformed man was instead blasted out of the building.

His massive four-meter frame was launched through the exterior wall, which no longer existed to stop him, and into the open air beyond. He tumbled through the sky, his enormous body rotating end over end, trailing debris and dust.

He fell twenty-four floors.

Glass, concrete fragments, steel rebar, office furniture, and pulverized drywall rained down around him, a cascade of debris that peppered the street below like hail.

He hit the ground.

CRACK!
