Investing in My Wife: But She's Already the Strongest!
Chapter 50: Others
The shout actually rumbled like thunder, giving the impression that even the air was shaking.
It came from quite a distance away. Enzo could not see the person who had shouted, but he could feel his ferocious aura.
Instead of stopping, he released even more flames.
Buzz!
Although the gate had not yet been destroyed, some of the flames entered the warehouse.
The moment they touched the sacks, they rapidly expanded.
Suddenly, water sprayed from all directions, but it evaporated before it could even touch the flames.
"Damn it!"
A bald, middle-aged man appeared alone. He was even shirtless, with several kiss marks visible on his broad chest.
There was a fierce-looking orange tiger tattoo on his bald head, but his gaze was actually even more ferocious.
"Brat, you..." He seemed to be gasping for breath when he saw the flames raging inside the warehouse.
His eyes widened so much that they nearly popped out of their sockets.
He was furious and frustrated.
When several other large men arrived, they could only freeze at the sight before them.
"You’re worrying too much," Enzo said.
"What nonsense are you talking about?" Brother Tiger asked, somewhat confused by Enzo’s words.
"You’ll be ashes just like those things soon enough, so what’s there to cry about?"
"You!" His fierce expression froze.
"Hahaha, brat, very good... Now let’s see whether your strength is as great as your words."
He became utterly furious.
And a huge tiger shadow really did appear behind him, looking far more savage than the tattoo on his head.
ROAR!
The shadow actually roared toward Enzo, producing a force that blew his hair and the two women’s hair backward.
At that very moment, the bald middle-aged man had already appeared in front of Enzo. He charged forward with tremendous momentum.
Enzo stared coldly into his eyes.
’Normal Human Soul, only one level above me. This can only be called certain death.’
His will alone was enough to destroy him.
Enzo simply acted a little slower, waiting for him to attack first.
His will destroyed the man’s soul before his fist could reach him.
A body without a soul was naturally far more vulnerable than one that had merely lost its strength.
Enzo easily avoided his punch while his own fist struck the man’s chest, releasing flames that engulfed him.
Buzz!
The sound of burning flesh echoed during the brief process before ashes scattered toward his large subordinates.
They could not have looked more shocked.
The boss they admired and feared...
How could he have been burned into ashes so quickly?
Even the tiger shadow collapsed like a balloon losing its air, dispersing into the surroundings.
"Run! Hurry, run! This guy is the Angel of Death!"
The large men quickly came to their senses as fear filled their minds.
They immediately fled in three different directions, entering the alleys closest to them.
Enzo furrowed his brows, wanting to chase after them, but he realized that at most he could only pursue them into one alley when they had scattered into so many different ones.
Unfortunately, his will could only kill two people at a time. He could not kill more than that simultaneously.
This was because his mind could only think about two things at the same time.
There were simply too many of them. That was the problem. But naturally, all of them were also roots of the problems in this neighborhood.
Without their boss, each of them could become a small boss and continue the businesses they had previously overseen.
"Uncle, there’s no way you can chase all of them," Zara said.
"A cultivator running an illegal business... I thought something like this wouldn’t exist in City Z with the Stanley Family watching over it," Enzo replied.
One of City Z’s advantages compared to other cities was its well-maintained order.
Although the Stanley Family did not care about mortal affairs, they did not allow cultivators to dominate ordinary mortals.
Here, Brother Tiger had truly relied on his spiritual power to run an illegal business, allowing everything to operate smoothly because the ordinary residents of this area did not dare to challenge him.
"Hehehe, there are always rats that manage to slip through. But didn’t you kill that man in the end? This must be why Auntie sent you here—to get rid of the rats that slipped through." Rosa spoke with a smile.
Enzo thought that made sense.
But why had they waited until he was the one to do it?
Perhaps, to the Stanley Family, as long as everything appeared orderly on the surface, it was not really a problem.
Enzo could not blame them because their ideology was never about being heroes.
He himself had no ambition to become a hero either. He simply could not stand it when he witnessed oppression directly in front of him.
"Ahhhhh..." Suddenly, a loud scream came from inside an alley, startling Enzo, Zara, and Rosa.
They instinctively walked toward the alley to see what had happened, only to find one of the large men who had fled being stabbed with a sharpened piece of iron.
The one stabbing him was a disheveled-looking middle-aged man.
"You! You’re the one who forced my daughter to become a prostitute!" the middle-aged man shouted with a savage expression.
Stabbing him was not enough. He picked up a large rock and smashed it against the man’s head.
Enzo instinctively closed his eyes, so all he heard was the sound of something breaking.
When he opened his eyes again, the large man was already lying on the ground, his head covered in blood and his eyes wide open.
"Joe really got his revenge," someone said.
"He said a long time ago that he would get revenge."
"His daughter is already dead, so he has nothing left to worry about. He just never had the strength to do it before."
The middle-aged man fell to his knees after killing the large man.
His expression looked empty, yet there was also a sense of relief on his face.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
From another alley, the sounds of heavy blows suddenly rang out.
Three large men were then sent flying out of the alley, crashing heavily onto the ground.
"Now that Tiger is dead, do you think you can still run rampant however you please?"
A woman’s voice echoed out before a short-haired, dark-skinned woman with a scar on her neck appeared.
She wore only shorts and a tank top that looked worn out, truly giving the impression of someone who did not have many clothes.
Although her gaze was sharp, her face was actually rather cute.
Enzo could not help but be surprised by her strength.
This woman should have been around the same age as Zara and Rosa, yet despite her seemingly weak physique, she was actually extremely strong.
According to Enzo’s own estimation, her punching strength reached as high as 600 kilograms.
That was actually the same as his back then.
"Eh, Amy?" Zara said, looking extremely surprised when she saw the woman.
