Investing in My Wife: But She's Already the Strongest!
Chapter 6: Sleep
As Enzo and his family entered the villa, they froze in awe.
The living room was enormous. There was even a greenhouse built inside the house, filled with grapevines, as well as a massive aquarium containing all kinds of marine fish.
Even the stairs moved on their own.
There were two staircases, one for going up and another for going down.
There was also an elevator with transparent doors.
’This is way too much for me.’
Enzo felt uncomfortable with how luxurious everything was.
"A house this big could probably accommodate a hundred people," Paul remarked.
"Dad, this is a villa, not a house," Evan replied.
"What’s the difference, kid? Don’t act like you’re so smart..."
Paul grumbled.
On the other hand, Lisa had already calmed down.
She remained quiet, staring at her son, Enzo, with a complicated expression.
All of this had happened because of him, yet everything had only just begun.
She couldn’t predict whether things would ultimately turn out well or badly for him.
"Let’s find our rooms first."
Enzo looked at his mother, realizing what she was worried about.
As far as he was concerned, everything depended on whether he could grow stronger.
And the only path available to him was this marriage.
He walked toward the staircase.
He wasn’t patient enough to wait, so he simply stepped onto the moving staircase without stopping.
A moment later, he arrived on the second floor.
It looked somewhat similar to the living room, but this floor had clearly been designed for recreation and entertainment.
There were no bedrooms here.
He continued to the third floor, where he finally found numerous doors.
There was no noticeable difference between them.
He randomly chose one and entered.
Inside was a spacious bedroom that could easily rival a five-star hotel suite.
Of course, there was a wardrobe.
But Enzo simply left his bags on the floor before sitting down on the enormous bed.
The mattress was so soft that he immediately lay down.
"So comfortable..."
He couldn’t help but mutter.
For someone who was accustomed to sleeping on a hard mattress, the difference was almost unimaginable.
He instantly felt relaxed, even mentally.
To his own surprise, he actually fell asleep.
He rarely took naps, yet despite his chaotic state of mind, he somehow managed to sleep.
He slept deeply without dreaming.
When he finally woke up, the sky outside was already dark.
"Huh..."
He instinctively sat up and immediately checked his phone for the time.
His eyes widened.
Seven hours had passed since he arrived at the villa.
’How did I sleep for that long?’
He was surprised at himself.
His expression soon became serious when he noticed a message from Mr. Joe.
He opened it and was shocked once again.
It was a short document containing the wedding arrangements.
The wedding would be held at the Horizon Grand Hotel, the most luxurious hotel in City Z. The hotel itself was enormous, covering an area equivalent to five soccer fields.
The guest list wouldn’t be limited to people from City Z.
Guests from other cities would also be invited.
However, according to the arrangements, invitations would only be sent to people of high status, whether because of their wealth or political position.
Those with overwhelming spiritual strength would not be invited.
This referred to extremely powerful individuals, such as the other nine heads of the Ten Great Families, who were secretly competing with Lady Stanley.
At most, Giants—Level 10 Spiritual Warriors—would be permitted to attend.
Even then, only those from City Z would be allowed.
Mr. Joe had sent the document because he wanted to know whether Enzo had any ideas he wanted to add.
Naturally, Enzo didn’t.
He had never even thought about having a wedding before, so he had no idea what suggestions he could possibly make.
He also felt unqualified to get involved in the arrangements.
After all, he had nothing to contribute other than himself.
Seeing the television mounted on the wall and the remote sitting on the bedside table, he turned it on.
"Is it true that Lady Stanley is getting married?"
A middle-aged black-haired man wearing glasses was being interviewed by a reporter.
Bastian Stanley, Liam Stanley’s father.
Although he was a member of the Stanley Family, his talent wasn’t particularly impressive, so he had been assigned to manage the Stanley Family’s businesses in City Z.
Enzo hadn’t expected to see an interview about the wedding the moment he turned on the television.
It was also a live broadcast.
Bastian was being interviewed as he left his office building.
Enzo furrowed his brows, feeling both surprised and confused.
It was the expression of someone who had heard a rumor, only to hear the same rumor confirmed from another source.
"Who is the man marrying Lady Stanley?" another reporter asked.
Bastian remained silent, clearly unwilling to answer.
He continued walking toward his car, which was waiting for him with its door already open.
"Mr. Stanley, why aren’t you answering? Don’t tell us you know nothing about your younger sister’s wedding!"
"Or perhaps you really don’t know?"
"Are you not important enough within the Stanley Family to be informed?"
One of the reporters finally resorted to provocation.
Bastian, who was already halfway into his car, stopped.
Of course, it wasn’t entirely wrong to assume that he wasn’t highly regarded.
He was merely responsible for managing the family’s businesses in City Z, while the Stanley Family itself focused primarily on spiritual cultivation and strength.
"Tell me. Where did you hear all of this?"
He looked at the reporters one by one.
"It’s a rumor from an employee at the Horizon Grand Hotel. They said the entire hotel has been booked for this Sunday. The reservation was personally made by the Head Butler of the Stanley Residence."
The reporter answered.
Bastian’s brows furrowed.
Then his eyes widened in shock.
It was even mixed with disbelief.
"It seems you really don’t know anything..."
The reporter couldn’t help commenting.
Bastian was naturally displeased by the remark.
He shoved several of the reporters aside, got into his car, and immediately slammed the door shut.
Whoosh!
The car sped away as if it were ready to run over anyone who dared block its path.
Inside the vehicle, besides the driver, there was a beautiful young assistant sitting in the front seat with a laptop resting on her thighs.
"Boss, I just received an order from the main residence. We’re being asked to go to the Horizon Grand Hotel to settle the payment and purchase three tons of fresh roses. They need to be delivered to the hotel and ready by Sunday."
"What did you say?"
Bastian became even more shocked.
He immediately made a phone call.
"Big bro," he said. "Is it true that Miya is getting married? Who is she marrying?"
No one knew that Bastian was just as shocked by the news.
If the hotel had already been booked, then who else could possibly be getting married?
At the main residence, Miya was actually the youngest member of the family.
And she was the only one who remained unmarried.
The others belonged to their father’s generation, most of whom had chosen to seal themselves away to delay aging while focusing on their cultivation.
