Investing in My Wife: But She's Already the Strongest!
Chapter 60: Special Technique
Enzo could not care less about how the White Family would respond.
He pushed his body to absorb the spirit.
Compared to his body, according to his own perception, his will played a greater role.
He could feel it when the spirit shattered into fragments that began flowing into his blood and merging with him.
During the process, he could feel something awakening.
It felt as if his mind was receiving one enlightenment after another automatically.
[Technique:]
(Three Heaven Flame Technique: Tier 2)
- First Stage: (Golden Heaven Flame: 12.5%)
- Second Stage: (White Heaven Flame: 0%)
- Third Stage: (Dark Heaven Flame: 0%)
(Absolute Soul Chain Technique: Special)
A technique appeared.
This was an innate technique that essentially originated from him. It belonged entirely to him and would grow stronger along with his own strength.
Soul Chain.
The word Absolute meant that this soul chain was something that could not be avoided. It was guaranteed to hit its target.
Once a target was caught, he could directly pull out its soul, or burn it by sending flames through the chain—or even use any other element he possessed.
The best part was that he mastered it as if it were one of his limbs, because it was indeed a part of him.
After the technique appeared, Enzo could no longer feel any trace of the Killing Spirit inside his body.
It had been completely digested.
"Uncle, do you want to go straight home or find a restaurant for dinner?" Rosa, who was driving, asked.
The two young women had no idea what had happened to Enzo.
"Let’s go straight home," Enzo replied.
He would feel safer at Miya’s house.
Now that the latter had resumed her training, he could no longer monitor her. That also meant the protection he had relied on was gone.
"Okay!"
Rosa then entered the highway leading directly to the other side of the city.
Whoosh!
The car instantly sped forward like lightning.
"Uncle, look..."
Zara showed the screen of her phone to Enzo.
It was the White Family’s social media account.
Enzo was surprised that a family actually had its own account.
And now, the account was posting about the robbery he had committed, demanding that he return the item to them or they would report him to the police.
Report him to the police?
That might be difficult to enforce when it involved one of the top families.
"Hey, do you think the police will come after me? I stole it openly?" Enzo asked.
"Uncle, what are you talking about? You didn’t steal anything. You just took a random item in City Z that belonged to no one," Rosa replied.
Hearing that, Enzo felt something tickle his ear.
’What the hell?’
"Uncle, that hill is part of the green belt," Zara explained.
"Really?" Enzo only found out about it now.
"Of course. Even the government isn’t allowed to build anything there. It’s actually strange that there was an underground building there in the first place. No one can claim it as their property. If someone deliberately drops something there, someone else can take it. It’s basically just clearing trash from the green belt."
Enzo smiled bitterly when he heard that.
Then he suddenly noticed that one of his social media apps was flooded with notifications.
More than a thousand notifications.
His eyes widened.
He had one account where he had only uploaded a single photo from behind.
It was posted a long time ago.
The account only had around four hundred followers, mostly girls from the university.
When he opened it, he realized that the photo was filled with comments.
’Hey, you! Return the White Family’s property!’
’You already have everything just by becoming Lady Stanley’s husband, so why are you still stealing!’
’You shameless greedy bastard!’
Every comment came from an account with a clearly visible profile.
With so many comments, even his old post that had never gone viral was suddenly appearing on people’s feeds.
"Uncle, what happened?" Zara asked.
"This."
Enzo handed his phone to the woman, who quickly read through the comments.
Shock appeared on her face, along with a strange expression.
She almost laughed.
"Uncle, I didn’t expect them to comment on your account. If this continues, everything will spread even further into the public eye. Fortunately, there aren’t any particularly clear photos on your account, but maybe you should just close it. As far as I know, the White Family does have some kind of huge social media force. Many politicians ask for their help during campaigns, so a lot of governors, mayors, and congressmen owe them favors. Even the President seems to have received online campaign assistance from them before."
"So they have that much influence..."
"Yeah, but if you don’t have a social media account, what can they do? They can’t possibly spread that video either, because it would expose their illegal business. The public would be furious."
"I don’t think you need to delete it," Rosa added.
"Why?" Zara asked in confusion.
"Well, with his social media account, Uncle can refute their accusations. Uncle, just write the truth," Rosa replied.
Hearing that, Zara seemed enlightened.
"That makes sense," she said. "Besides, Uncle is the one in the right. Those people are so petty. Once they realized that what Uncle took was a treasure, they immediately claimed that it belonged to them. They’re absolutely shameless. Uncle, I’ll write it on your account."
Enzo: "..."
Although he felt that this was rather ridiculous, he let Zara, who was holding his phone, write the rebuttal.
If other people believed it, then that was simply the truth of what had happened.
Eventually, the car arrived back at Stanley Mountain, which looked quiet and deserted. Everyone had already gone to rest.
Enzo did not expect to see his wife, but he saw Eva immersed in meditation on a chair on the terrace.
She did not even notice the arrival of the car.
"I’ll get out here. Thank you for today," he said to Rosa and Zara.
The former nodded, while the latter smiled and said, "This was a fun trip. If you need us again, just ask Mr. Joe to contact us, and we’ll come."
"Yeah..."
Enzo smiled as he got out of the car.
He did not even see Mr. Joe, so he simply wanted to hurry to his room and digest this new technique.
Only when he reached the terrace did Eva open her eyes, looking slightly surprised.
