Chapter 2988: Chapter 2989: Jian San

Encased in amber is a sleeping maiden.

Her eyes are tightly shut, long eyelashes casting shadows over her lower lids, her features delicate and extraordinarily beautiful.

But the most striking feature is the vertical mark on her forehead, crimson like blood, resembling a small sword.

As she emerged, the surrounding magma became even more fierce and violent, yet it didn’t affect her in the slightest, instead making the amber encasing her grow increasingly transparent.

Suddenly.

The maiden’s eyelashes lightly trembled, and then there was a crisp sound from the amber encasing her.

Simultaneously, the maiden slowly opened her eyes.

What kind of eyes were these!

Bright as autumn water, yet cool like the moon.

Combined with the vertical mark on her forehead, it added an air of mysterious charm.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

The amber shattered completely, and the maiden stepped out slowly, then looked around.

Upon seeing the fractured earth core and raging magma, a hint of bewilderment crossed the maiden’s eyes, followed by a slight frown.

"This is Earth? How did it end up like this? Where is Xue An?"

Indeed!

This maiden is none other than the long-sleeping Jian San, Shen Suqian!

If you have read the earlier parts, you might recall that Jian San was an extraordinary woman, her talent in Sword Dao second only to Xue An, ranking third in The Multiverse’s Sword Dao at a young age.

She unfortunately lost a single move when challenging the master of Jian Sect, Li Jingxing, ultimately dying in Xue An’s arms.

Xue An buried her in Sword Mountain within Jian Sect.

Later, when Xue An traveled to Sky Beyond the Skies, he learned that Jian San Shen Suqian was actually an orphan of the Shen Family from Sky Beyond the Skies.

An important ability of the Shen Family’s bloodline is the ability to disassemble and resurrect.

Thus, at the time, Xue An realized that Shen Suqian might not have truly died, merely fallen into slumber.

But before he could return to The Multiverse to verify this idea, a great change occurred.

The time serpent Shuming forcibly altered The Multiverse’s timeline, Jian Sect vanished, and Li Jingxing never existed.

Yet Shen Suqian, in her slumber, remained unaffected by the chaotic timeline, instead sent into the earth’s core by a mysterious power, awakening today.

Shen Suqian now flew into the void, gazing down at the extinguished lifeforce of the planet below, her eyes gradually revealing a menacing aura.

Because she could see, this was evidently the result of some entity’s actions.

She also discovered that this universe now seemed quite different, with Xue An nowhere in sight.

Amidst her confusion, she suddenly turned her gaze to the distant depths of the void.

"Is that Xue An’s presence? No, why is it so weak? Could something catastrophic have happened?"

With that, she transformed into a sword, vanishing instantly into the void.

After this bout of slumber, Shen Suqian’s strength not only didn’t regress; it grew significantly.

Thus, in just a moment she reached the black hole.

Upon seeing her, Huyue couldn’t help but tremble, exclaiming in shock, "Jian San? Why is it you?"

Shen Suqian halted, recognizing Huyue as well, but now was not the time for such answers.

Her gaze lingered briefly on Xue An’s seated body before turning to the somber-looking Wuming.

"Was this your doing?"

Wuming’s heart shook violently.

For just now, it had seen a lone tiny sword appear in the distant void, who would have thought the next instant this figure would stand before it, an incomparably beautiful Human Clan maiden.

Yet precisely for this reason, Wuming dared not underestimate her.

For the Dharma Aspect of that lone tiny sword was no mere illusion.

She must be a top-notch Sword Dao expert!

Thus, Wuming heightened its vigilance, replying coldly, "What are you saying?"

Jian San furrowed her brows slightly.

With her strength, she naturally discerned Wuming’s true form.

Though unfamiliar, her mother had once told her about the origins of such entities; thus, a cold Sword Intent flashed in her eyes.

"Did you make a move on Earth?"

"Indeed, you... ."

"That’s enough!"

Not waiting for it to finish, Jian San swung a sword directly.

The speed of this sword was so swift, it seemed to give the illusion that even space was severed before one’s eyes.

Though Wuming had been prepared, this sword still startled it.

Having no choice, it abandoned its current clone.

With a puff, the sword fell and the body shattered.

Yet Jian San hesitated not for a moment; her sword continued as she again targeted Wuming, who had already dodged aside.

Wuming cried out in alarm, retreating repeatedly.

Jian San pressed relentlessly, her face icy, slashing as she advanced without mercy.

This battle appeared uncomplicated, but in reality, it was exceedingly perilous.

At least Huyue was somewhat dumbfounded.

"Damn, when did Jian San become this formidable?"

Because Wuming was entangled with Jian San, the constraints upon Huyue disappeared.

Huyue rose to his feet, speaking in astonishment.

Zhang Tianyou’s gaze sparkled, "I should have foreseen it; being able to evade the timeline’s confusion evidently proves she possesses special abilities!"

As the words fell, Wuming issued an angry roar.

"You vile woman, do you really think I can’t deal with you? Die!"

Wuming, indeed enraged, for in just a short moment, it had already lost dozens of clones.

Under normal circumstances, dozens of clones, even thousands, wouldn’t matter.

After all, the Rule Power it wielded held infinite possibilities.

But the key now wasn’t normal circumstance, as Wuming shockingly realized that any clone slain by Jian San ceased to appear again.

In other words, her swordsmanship could directly thwart Wuming’s rule.

Don’t you possess nearly infinite possibilities?

Then every sword I wield can sever a thread of possibility, let’s see how long you can linger!

This relentless grindstone effort terrified Wuming.

For what had established its fame and reliance was indeed the rule it mastered.

If the rule dissipates, it would truly be doomed.

Thus, in humiliation and fury, it unleashed a counterattack.

Boom!

Wuming revealed countless clones, surrounding Jian San on all sides, then launched a collective palm strike.

Know that while Wuming’s attack ability might seem weak, that’s relative to top-tier Evil Gods like Shuming, within this lower-dimensional universe, it remained an invincible presence.

Thus, it could easily destroy Earth.

But faced with this strike, Jian San merely smiled coldly, and the sword-shaped vertical mark on her forehead manifested a lone tiny sword, then gracefully slashed out.

No words could capture the unparalleled splendor of this sword!

It was a beauty to the extreme.

Like the falling rainbow after rain, or the sigh of youthful yearning!

"No!"

Wuming seeing this let out a wail, attempting to flee.

Yet it was too late.

The sword light flashed through, all dissipated into nothingness.
