Invincible Snake Emperor
Chapter 803 - 733: Picking Up a Terrifyingly Powerful Eldest Son for Free
Chapter 803: Chapter 733: Picking Up a Terrifyingly Powerful Eldest Son for Free
In stark contrast to the Artifact Spirit’s despair, Tu Xiao’an was currently experiencing a bizarre mix of agony and joy. He never expected the Ancient Demon to actually believe his suicidal, spouted nonsense. From the looks of it, the creature bought it hook, line, and sinker.
Inexplicably gaining an overgrown Ancient Demon baby as his "eldest son" left Tu Xiao’an’s emotions in a strange, indescribable knot. But one thing was worth celebrating—it seemed he had once again miraculously averted disaster. And he had done so in a stunningly bizarre fashion.
"Good boy. Now put Daddy down quickly, you’re going to strangle Daddy to death," Tu Xiao’an said, continuing to spout his deadpan nonsense. He genuinely had no way of breaking free from the Ancient Demon’s bear hug.
Fortunately, the giant baby was extremely obedient. He docilely released Tu Xiao’an, gleefully and repeatedly chanting, "Daddy! Daddy!" He acted just like a kidnapped child who had finally been reunited with his father.
"Such a good son." Tu Xiao’an grinned and reached out to pat the giant baby’s head, but he was thwarted by the creature’s towering, five-meter-tall physique.
Ever the good boy, the giant baby scooped Tu Xiao’an back up and placed him gently on his shoulder, allowing him to easily reach his head.
HAHA!
Tu Xiao’an was thrilled. Emboldened, he freely patted the giant baby’s head and even touched his two magnificently endowed antennae. However, these antennae were terrifying. Concentrated, horrific Energy coalesced within them, making them feel as dangerously untouchable as a tiger’s backside.
"Old Master, it shouldn’t be like this! It shouldn’t be like this!" The Artifact Spirit knelt in the corner, thoroughly crestfallen and in agonizing despair. He felt like he was going to explode with frustration. How did things end up like this? This was too detestable!
"Artifact Spirit, I am asking you now: do you yield?" Tu Xiao’an directed the giant baby to walk over. His bewitching eyes gleamed sharply as he stared down at the kneeling Artifact Spirit.
"I..." The Artifact Spirit stared blankly at Tu Xiao’an sitting on his Old Master’s shoulder, a bitter taste filling his mouth. Just how absurdly good was this snake’s karmic luck and fate, that he could manipulate a former Sovereign like this? A new consciousness had fully inherited his Old Master’s mighty physical body, yet it had retained none of his memories.
"Artifact Spirit Xiaoyang greets the Master." The Artifact Spirit had no choice but to bow his head. The situation had completely reversed, but this reversal only plunged him deeper into despair. Even his own Old Master had acknowledged this snake as his father. What else could he say? How could he not yield? This was fate, completely out of his hands.
Watching the Artifact Spirit kneel, Tu Xiao’an narrowed his eyes slightly. It seemed the X City War Relics had finally been thoroughly resolved. There shouldn’t be any more unexpected twists.
However, perched upon the Ancient Demon giant baby’s shoulder, Tu Xiao’an still felt a lingering sense of unease. This giant baby was a walking time bomb. God knew when his mind might suddenly clear up and snap back to reality. The only way to prevent any mishaps was to subdue him entirely—to turn him into his own Battle Companion.
Consequently, Tu Xiao’an patted the giant baby’s head and smiled. "Son, Daddy wants to play a game with you. Don’t struggle or resist, okay?"
The Ancient Demon giant baby nodded obediently.
At this, Tu Xiao’an’s eyes glinted sharply before narrowing into slits. "Consciousness Suppression, envelop him! Subdue!"
"DING! The host’s strength is too low. You are unqualified to subdue this target." The system’s notification chimed immediately.
Tu Xiao’an was baffled. "Huh? Even with zero struggle and no resistance, I still can’t subdue him? Unqualified?" he thought. He was utterly devastated by the system’s blunt assessment. It was a massive blow to his ego.
"Damn it, just how overwhelmingly powerful is this Ancient Demon?" he wondered. He couldn’t even manifest its Level data. If that was the case, things were going to be a bit troublesome. This was a monumental treasure, but also a catastrophic time bomb. A true double-edged sword. Used well, he would be a Supreme Treasure for Tu Xiao’an. Used poorly, he would cost Tu Xiao’an his life. Tu Xiao’an couldn’t possibly keep a time bomb by his side; if it went off, he would be blown to smithereens. But the Ancient Demon giant baby had already claimed him as his father. Looking at him now, he would probably follow Tu Xiao’an to the ends of the earth.
He felt a massive headache coming on.
"Artifact Spirit, do you know exactly what is going on with your Old Master?" Tu Xiao’an decided he needed to figure out the full story before taking any further steps.
The Artifact Spirit stood up and looked at the Ancient Demon with a highly conflicted expression. "He is not my Old Master. He is a newly born consciousness."
"A newly born consciousness?" Tu Xiao’an thought. Having experienced much, he naturally understood the fundamental implications of it. Put that way, this wasn’t necessarily a time bomb. As long as Tu Xiao’an spent enough time nurturing their bond and firmly cementing his role as "Daddy," everything would be fine. Right now, the giant baby was a blank canvas, entirely free for him to paint on. From this day forward, he, Tu Xiao’an, would truly be the father of the Ancient Demon giant baby. He had picked up an incomparably powerful son for free.
"Good, very good!" Tu Xiao’an burst into hearty laughter, temporarily setting down the heavy burden in his heart.
Meanwhile.
"Tu Xiao’an, you damn snake! How dare you lie to me again?! Come back here! I forbid you from dying!"
On the bed shrouded in black mist, Luo Ziyun’s tears fell in a steady stream. She was terrified. She was sick with worry that her lover would never return. After all, she had personally experienced just how terrifyingly powerful the War Relics’ Artifact Spirit was.
Suddenly, the black mist began to dissipate. Luo Ziyun abruptly lifted her head, only to see a towering, fearsome figure striding toward her, radiating a domineering aura. Every casual step it took was nerve-wracking, exuding a suffocating pressure that pressed down on Luo Ziyun.
"What is this...?" she thought in horror. "It’s the Ancient Demon!"
Luo Ziyun instantly petrified. As if struck by a Freezing Technique, she froze in place, cold sweat drenching her trembling body. How could this be possible? The Ancient Demon in the Crystal Coffin had come back to life? Then what about Xiao’an? Luo Ziyun swayed unsteadily, her heart shattering into pieces as her mind immediately leaped to her worst, most probable fear. If the Ancient Demon had resurrected from the dead, then no matter how capable that snake was, it would have all been in vain.
"Xiao’an, Xiao’an! What did you do to my Xiao’an?!" A mournful, piercing killing intent poured out of Luo Ziyun. Even facing the Ancient Demon, she felt no fear. She only wanted to know what had happened to her snake. Was he dead or alive?
"Mommy!"
The towering, fierce Ancient Demon—radiating intense Evil Qi and domineering might—stopped three meters away from Luo Ziyun. The moment it opened its mouth, it dropped an absolute bombshell.
"What did you just call me?" Luo Ziyun asked, completely bewildered. Had she heard wrong?
"Mommy." The Ancient Demon spoke again, its voice unmistakable.
Luo Ziyun’s world was thrown into complete chaos. A dignified Ancient Demon was calling her "Mommy"? What on earth was going on?
SWISH!
The bewitching man, the Artifact Spirit, also appeared. He dropped straight to his knees before Luo Ziyun and said respectfully, "Artifact Spirit Xiaoyang humbly greets the Mistress. Please forgive this subordinate for any past offenses."
"Mistress?" she thought in shock.
Luo Ziyun’s jaw dropped. She stared blankly, her mind plunging into a state of semi-stupor. Could someone please tell her what was happening?! The Ancient Demon called her Mommy, and the War Relics’ Artifact Spirit called her Mistress?
Right at that moment, a handsome young man slowly strolled into Luo Ziyun’s line of sight. He had picturesque features, entirely unblemished and dust-free, and wore a faint smile on his tall, slender frame. Finally, the man stopped in front of Luo Ziyun. Looking as ethereal as a dream, he slightly lifted his chin, his eyes glittering with starlight that slowly coalesced.
He murmured softly, his tone laced with boundless tenderness, "Ziyan, I’m back."
"Xiao’an..." Luo Ziyun stared blankly. Her mind was a jumbled mess, completely unable to snap back to reality for a long moment.
Tu Xiao’an gently pulled her into his embrace. "All the bad things are over now."
