Chapter 818: Chapter 747: Eye-Burning

For Tu Xiao’an, expecting him to care about someone’s pride was simply impossible.

You’re not my woman, so why should I indulge you?

"What are you doing here? If you have something to say, just say it," Tu Xiao’an said lightly, glancing at Shao Qiu.

Could she be here to ask if he liked her? Or if Luo Ziyun was more beautiful than her?

The boss of a City’s Demon Management Bureau shouldn’t be that idiotic, right?

Shao Qiu rolled her eyes, grumbling inwardly that such an unromantic man was destined to remain single forever.

"Brother Ling said that several hours have passed and it’s already dark, yet the Ghost Demon hasn’t made a single move. Perhaps we could add a little something extra to the bait."

Add something extra?

Tu Xiao’an looked at her calmly.

"The current blood Qi emitting out there belongs entirely to Martial Cultivators. Perhaps we could add some Great Demon blood into the mix. It might be much more enticing to the Ghost Demon." As she spoke, Shao Qiu cast her gaze toward the Little White Fox, who was happily munching on potato chips.

Xiaoqi was speechless. What was that supposed to mean? She had just eaten a few of her potato chips, and now this woman wanted to drain her blood?

Since when did a Demon King’s blood become so cheap?

Tu Xiao’an wore a strange expression. Holding back a wicked smile, he said to the White Fox, "Did you hear that? They want your blood. Just give it to them. Who told you to be so greedy?"

"WHIMPER..."

Although accepting someone’s food usually meant owing them a favor, it shouldn’t be like this!

SMACK!

The Little White Fox chucked the nearly empty tube of potato chips right at Shao Qiu. She grumbled inwardly, "Hmph, she is such a bad woman."

The result was obvious. It was impossible for Xiaoqi to agree, and Tu Xiao’an also refused, so Shao Qiu had no choice but to turn around and head back.

Anyway, she was merely suggesting it in passing. It would be best if the other party agreed, acting as a Fang Neng, but she wouldn’t force it if they didn’t.

Tu Xiao’an watched Shao Qiu walk away and sneered. What were those people thinking? They were too stingy to offer their own blood.

Yet they had the nerve to ask for his Xiaoqi’s blood.

Shameless, despicable wretches.

The night grew deeper. Tu Xiao’an’s gaze swept across the surroundings. It seemed like a futile effort because the Demon Management Bureau was massive; what the naked eye could see was merely the tip of the Ice Mountain.

However, Tu Xiao’an’s powerful Consciousness Power had long since firmly enveloped the entire Demon Management Bureau. Even if a single mosquito flew in from the outside, Tu Xiao’an would know it instantly.

If the Ghost Demon had any sense, it wouldn’t show up. But if it did, Tu Xiao’an would absolutely be the first to know.

Those special officers were still bleeding out there, looking quite miserable. Although Tu Xiao’an, as a Snake, had long lost any sense of pity for the world, he still didn’t want innocent people to die a tragic death.

They were only willing to act as bait out of an Essence of dedication to their country and its people. They were also fully aware that the moment the Ghost Demon took the bait, their lives would be in grave danger.

Yet, they did it anyway.

Perhaps Du Jun had given them an absolute order—who knew?

Another hour passed.

Tu Xiao’an closed his eyes, resting to nourish his God spirit, and stroked the smooth fox fur. Suddenly, his Snake King’s Eye snapped open. He seemed to have sensed something faint in the unseen world.

The corners of his mouth curled up slightly. It seemed the big fish had taken the bait.

Not long after, on the other side, the bosses who had been playing cards all put down their hands. Their gazes sharpened; they too seemed to have noticed something. Ling Yihang and Du Jun stood up simultaneously. They exchanged a look and cracked their knuckles in anticipation.

At this moment, a fierce gale suddenly whipped through the Demon Management Bureau. Did wind have a color?

No. Actually, yes, it did.

An eerie black gust blew out of nowhere, like a phantom wind.

The group of officers pretending to be injured on the basketball court was swept by the black wind and froze as if petrified. Not long after, their expressions turned bizarre. They started to twist their bodies, moving in an incredibly seductive, yet incredibly eye-searing manner.

"It’s at the basketball court!"

With a SWISH, Ling Yihang vanished from where he stood. Immediately after, the bosses from the other cities disappeared one by one.

Meanwhile, Tu Xiao’an leaned against the corridor railing, watching the officers on the basketball court gyrate. As they twisted, they began taking off their clothes, looking incredibly excited and wild.

The scene was unbearable to watch. After all, they were a group of grown men, not beautiful women.

Hmm?

Weren’t they supposed to scratch and tear at themselves until they were bloody and mangled beyond recognition?

Clearly, the moment the phantom wind passed, these officers’ minds had been affected. Even though they were not ordinary people, but Martial Cultivators, they had still quietly fallen victim to the spell.

"Representative of City X, what are you spacing out for? Hurry up and follow! At this rate, you wouldn’t even get a warm bite at a shit-eating contest!"

Shao Qiu was the last to move. She leaped straight down from the upper floor, looking no different from someone jumping off a building.

"How vulgar!"

Tu Xiao’an chose to ignore the woman with utter disgust. He had a good reason for not liking her.

What did she mean, ’wouldn’t get a warm bite at a shit-eating contest’? She was certainly something else; she was so eager to eat shit that she chose to jump off a building for it. Just how afraid was she of being late?

Ling Yihang and Du Jun, two Level 39 experts, were the first to arrive at the basketball court. Their gazes were stern as they watched the dozen or so naked officers brazenly releasing their most primal desires.

As they gyrated, they began to embrace each other.

Good heavens, that sight...

Even these two bosses, who had seen their fair share of the world, found it a bit too much to stomach.

"They’ve been hit. This Ghost Demon doesn’t just control people’s bodies. They look like they’re trapped in an Illusion Technique and can’t free themselves. But looking closely, it doesn’t quite seem like it," Du Jun said solemnly.

Ling Yihang’s eyes scanned the surroundings, trying to pinpoint the Ghost Demon’s location.

"Wake up, all of you!"

Du Jun bellowed out loud, employing a Lion’s Roar that was absolutely deafening.

However, the dozen officers continued twisting in eye-searing poses, embracing and kissing man-to-man. They looked as if they were kissing and holding peerless beauties.

"This isn’t right. The Ghost Demon isn’t here."

The space around Ling Yihang began to ripple. Although he hadn’t fully unleashed his Rank Three Perfection War God aura, just standing there was enough to make the air tremble.

Qu Ping, Yan Guan, and Shao Qiu also arrived at the basketball court. After a single glance, they quickly turned their heads away.

The scene was too disgusting—a group of men frantically embracing and kissing each other.

"Yan Guan, knock them all out," Du Jun ordered.

If they were allowed to continue, the consequences would be... indescribable.

"Got it!"

Yan Guan used Shift Form and Position, tapping each officer on the forehead, and they collapsed one by one.

"It’s in Building Two!"

A sharp glint of Essence flashed in Ling Yihang’s eyes as he shot toward the second building of the Demon Management Bureau. But mid-air, he added, "Wait, why do I feel like it’s in Building Three now? Brother Dou, let’s split up!"

The Demon Management Bureau was massive, divided into three main buildings. Immediately, Shao Qiu followed Ling Yihang to Building Two, while Du Jun led Qu Ping and Yan Guan to Building Three.

Meanwhile, Tu Xiao’an remained in Building One, observing the situation from above.

From beginning to end, the Ghost Demon remained invisible. There was only the howling phantom wind, but everyone knew the Ghost Demon had arrived. However, whether it was being overly cautious or just incredibly cunning, the creature had hidden itself.

In Tu Xiao’an’s mind, Ancient Fierce Beasts from Ancient Times would always Appear as extremely ferocious and brimming with Vengeful Spirit; they killed anyone in sight and acted straightforwardly.

Yet this Ghost Demon actually seemed to understand strategy.

Or perhaps the fact that the humans had easily dispatched the Fierce Beasts born from the first two fruits gave this third one a very strong will to survive. It chose not to clash head-on, but to bide its time instead.
