Invincible Snake Emperor
Chapter 827 - 754: Death of the Female War God
Chapter 827: Chapter 754: Death of the Female War God
Ling Yihang released his grip on her neck, granting her freedom.
Shao Qiu gasped for air, her delicate body trembling. Why had the dignified boss of City S become so terrifying? He was even more terrifying than a Ghost Demon, even more terrifying than a Super Great Demon.
Humans fear the cruelty of demons, while demons fear the malice of the human heart.
Suddenly, in an instant, the heavily panting Shao Qiu fully unleashed her War God aura. The surrounding space immediately fell into chaos, and her hair stood on end, making her look just like the White haired Witch.
"Ling Yihang, you lunatic! I will never join forces with you!"
Shao Qiu let out a fierce shout as two gleaming daggers materialized in the palms of her hands. One black and one white—the Mother-Child Dagger.
She thought, "The man before me has clearly lost his mind. He is an absolute madman with far too much ambition, and his earlier words were incredibly vicious. How could those be the words of an official City boss?"
Shao Qiu was a woman, but any woman who could climb to this position could not possibly be incompetent. She would not yield to his tyrannical abuse of power. She would not betray her country; she answered only to the nation.
"Sister Shao, I thought you were a smart woman. I didn’t expect you to be so foolish, so stubbornly beyond saving. Choosing to oppose me is nothing short of courting death."
"Cut the crap, Ling Yihang. Take this!"
In a flash, the two daggers left Shao Qiu’s hands, transforming into two ferocious Yellow Dragons that drove straight forward to engulf Ling Yihang.
At the same time, she moved like a bolt of lightning, rushing toward the exit to leave Building Two and rendezvous with Boss Du Jun and the others. She needed to expose Ling Yihang’s horrific true colors to the public. She knew it was impossible for her to defeat Ling Yihang at his Rank Three Perfection. She didn’t have a sliver of a chance. But when it came to escaping, she still had some confidence. If a High Rank War God wanted to escape, who could possibly stop them?
Shao Qiu didn’t bother opening the door; she planned to smash right through it. Opening it would be too slow. But just as she was about to crash through the door, a hand clamped down on her neck once again, exactly as before.
"How is this possible?!" she thought. "Did my two natal daggers really fail to delay him for even a single second?"
Shao Qiu’s eyes went wide with shock. A deep sense of dread and the fear of death spontaneously welled up inside her. At that moment, the hand choking her let go, and an icy chill pressed against her skin. Shao Qiu was stunned. It was the aura of her own dagger.
A single cut would seal her throat. He was holding her own dagger against her neck.
"Sister Shao, your choice truly disappoints me. Everyone must pay the price for their choices," Ling Yihang’s haunting voice murmured in her ear.
SHINK!
The black dagger instantly plunged into the left side of Shao Qiu’s chest. Blood gushed out!
SHINK!
The white dagger pierced into the right side of her chest. Shao Qiu’s aura of Life Force rapidly plummeted, and her face abruptly turned deathly pale. His strike was decisive, leaving absolutely no room for mercy.
Having done all this, Ling Yihang wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, sticking out his tongue to lick her earlobe as if they were lovers flirting.
"Ling Yihang, you will die a miserable death! You will face Celestial Punishment!"
Blood continuously spilled from Shao Qiu’s mouth. She couldn’t believe she would meet such a tragic end. She couldn’t believe Ling Yihang could be so ruthless.
"Originally, I didn’t plan on taking your City E. After all, a single night of passion leaves a hundred days of affection. But you just had to be disobedient. After today, City B, City E, City W, and City Q—I, Ling Yihang, will take them all! With my abilities, I can make these four cities prosper. The people will live in peace and contentment, free from beasts and Demons."
"You..."
The two daggers, which had once belonged to her, stripped away every last drop of Shao Qiu’s powerful Life Force.
"What is this?" she thought. "Just moments ago, I was blissfully rolling in the sheets with this man, and now he is killing me. Does this count as a rape-murder?"
"Sister Shao, thank you. I know you love me. Not only did you offer up your city, but you are also offering up your War God Golden Core to me. I will devour it, and from now on, we will never be apart."
Hearing this, a fierce light erupted in Shao Qiu’s eyes. It was a final, dying surge of vitality.
"No, no, no, Ling Yihang, you can’t do this to me!" she screamed inwardly.
A palm slapped against the back of her head from behind.
THUD!
Taking a heavy blow to the back of her head, Shao Qiu collapsed to her knees, and her consciousness slipped into a semi-comatose state.
"Ah!" A shrill scream tore from Shao Qiu’s throat.
Suddenly, the space between her eyebrows burst open, and a War God Golden Core shot out. It radiated an incredibly dazzling brilliance. Reflected within this Golden Core was Shao Qiu’s visage.
"There is no such thing as an absolute genius in this world. Geniuses are all forged through Acquired effort. For instance, consuming a War God Golden Core or a Demon Spirit Golden Core is a highly effective and rapid form of effort.
"Rest assured, Sister Shao. By consuming your War God Golden Core, I will remember you forever. You and I will be together as one."
Over at Building Three!
Du Jun wondered why Ling Yihang and Shao Qiu hadn’t arrived yet, and what on earth they were doing. He was nearly angered to death by the "Yan Guan" in front of him. He was stomping with fury, yet his teammates were still MIA and had yet to show up. This guy was far too arrogant, entirely certain that Du Jun wouldn’t dare kill him.
It wasn’t that Du Jun lacked the courage to kill him; he simply wanted to wait for the other two bosses to arrive and discuss the matter. At the very least, they could serve as witnesses—witnesses that this Yan Guan had already fallen and had to be killed. That way, with eyewitnesses backing him up to the officials, Du Jun wouldn’t face overly severe punishment.
However, his deadweight teammates were still nowhere to be seen. Du Jun was caught in a dilemma. That damn Demon wasn’t helping him either, just standing on the sidelines watching the show. He cursed inwardly, wondering what the hell it was watching.
His Fangtian Halberd hesitated, unable to strike.
"If you won’t kill me, then offer up your blood!"
The Ghost Demon occupying Yan Guan’s body charged at Du Jun with a ferocious expression. Moving like a Ghost, it forced Du Jun to retreat step by step.
This kind of battle was simply too frustrating. He decided he couldn’t care about the consequences anymore.
"Yan Guan, don’t blame me! Ghost Demon, go to hell!"
The Fangtian Halberd in Du Jun’s hands flared with brilliant light. The sound of explosive Qi filled the air as an endless wave of destructive power swept out in all directions.
BOOM!
The ferocious-looking Yan Guan was taken by surprise, and his entire body instantly exploded, reduced to a mist of blood.
Tu Xiao’an, who had been watching the show, smiled, thinking that this idiot had finally wised up and should have done this ages ago. Then, his eyes narrowed slightly. From within the blood mist, a dark shadow abruptly shot out, drifting away toward another direction.
"Trying to run again?"
"Ice Age!"
In the blink of an eye, the temperature in the area plummeted to the extreme. Within a single second, Building Three was directly frozen from top to bottom. No one was spared; not even an ant could escape.
The shadowy Ghost Demon had barely floated out when it was enveloped by a dark blue aura. It was immediately hit by an Ice Seal, turning into a solid mass and dropping to the ground with a CRACK.
Du Jun was also turned into a lifelike ice sculpture. However, in the very next instant, Du Jun shattered the ice and broke free, his fierce, tiger-like eyes glaring at Tu Xiao’an.
"Idiot, I’m helping you. Look, the Ghost Demon is laid out right in front of you now."
Ghost Demons were shaped like a Ghost, capable of scaling the heavens and burrowing into the earth, making them incredibly difficult to catch. But now, it was nothing more than an ice sculpture, entirely at their mercy.
Du Jun’s eyes lit up. Without another word, he swung his Fangtian Halberd down upon the Ghost Demon’s ice sculpture.
Du Jun thought about how the damned Ghost Demon had made him suffer so miserably and brought so much misery to the citizens of City B. He just wanted it to die so everything would be over. Killing the Ghost Demon would avenge his fallen comrades and do justice to the many people who had lost their lives.
