“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, we can’t miss it!” Chen Rui silently resolved, beginning to envision his impressive performance in front of Jiang Qi.

After comprehending it all, Chen Rui immediately restrained his pride and adopted a loyal expression.

He straightened his back, his tone filled with determination and confidence, speaking deliberately: “Rest assured, Saint Heir! I will give my all to this matter, absolutely not disappointing your expectations!”

When he said this, his face showed loyalty and resolve, as if he were a steadfast servant willing to brave any danger for his master.

His voice was steady and powerful, exuding an undeniable sense of conviction.

“Ye Qingchen and Xiao Xiao may be cunning, but under the guidance of the Saint Heir, I will surely find their weaknesses,” Chen Rui continued, eyes sparkling with confidence. He cleverly credited Jiang Qi, yet also showed his determination to go all out, striving to make Jiang Qi satisfied.

“I’ll make sure those Filthy Pigs play their part to the fullest and capture those two in one fell swoop.” After saying this, a respectful smile appeared on Chen Rui’s face, as if everything was already within his grasp. He bowed his head humbly, waiting for Jiang Qi’s response.

Chen Rui knew very well that as long as he handled this matter properly, not only could he earn Jiang Qi’s accolades, but he could also further solidify his position in Jiang Qi’s esteem.

To him, this was an uncommon opportunity, also an excellent stage for self-display.

Jiang Qi listened to Chen Rui’s firm guarantees, a satisfied smile tugged at his lips. Although he wasn’t aware of Chen Rui’s scheme inside, he clearly appreciated Chen Rui’s attitude.

Seeing the smile on Jiang Qi’s face, Chen Rui felt increasingly smug.

Jiang Qi waved his hand, his face carrying an indifferent expression, signifying to Chen Rui and Da Hei to step down promptly.

Chen Rui immediately bowed respectfully, saying, “Yes, Saint Heir.” Then, along with Ye Qingchen disguised as Da Hei, he turned and left the palace hall.

As the two exited the palace hall, Chen Rui, pondering how to utilize Ye Qingchen and Xiao Xiao to earn merit, strutted ahead with a hint of arrogance on his face.

Meanwhile, Ye Qingchen followed silently behind Chen Rui, head lowered, with an obedient appearance. He knew he must maintain the disguise without revealing the slightest flaw.

But after walking a bit, Ye Qingchen suddenly slowed his steps, his expression subtly changing, clutching his stomach, bending slightly as if tormented by sudden pains.

Frowning, a twinge of agony surfaced on his face, whereupon he halted.

“Master, I… my stomach hurts, I might need to go to the restroom.” Ye Qingchen’s voice was deep and hurried, tinged with reluctant apology, he spoke with some effort.

As he spoke, he raised his head, his eyes showing a touch of helplessness and appeal, truly appearing tortured by the sudden stomach pain.

To enhance persuasion, Ye Qingchen applied slight pressure with the hand clutching his stomach, body slightly hunched, brows knit tightly, feigning a look of enduring pain.

His behavior seemed very natural, without any flaw, as though genuinely troubled by the pain, urgently needing relief.

“Master, you return first, I will hurry back once sorted out.” Ye Qingchen bowed his head, his voice carrying a trace of awkwardness and urgency, as if unwilling to waste Chen Rui’s time over this minor issue.

After speaking, a slight apology appeared on his face, gradually straightening, moving a step toward the roadside, his eyes carrying entreaty and unspoken worry, fearing blame from Chen Rui.

Caught up in thoughts of earning merit in front of Jiang Qi, Chen Rui at first did not notice Ye Qingchen’s change.

Startled by Ye Qingchen’s sudden statement about stomach pain, Chen Rui paused, turning his head with a frown, though slightly impatient, he thought, Da Hei is merely a servant, stomach pain isn’t worth concern.

He waved his hand, his tone carrying a string of impatience, yet without further thought: “Go, don’t take too long, handle it quickly and return.”

After speaking, Chen Rui turned onwards, still pondering how to impress Jiang Qi, scarcely letting this trivial issue concern him.

Ye Qingchen, seeing Chen Rui agree, subtly exhaled, still maintaining the pained appearance outwardly.

He lowered his head, paced slowly toward the roadside until Chen Rui strayed far and then lifted his head, his eyes flashing alert and calm. At this moment, he must act swiftly, utilizing the chance to gather more information or prepare for upcoming actions.

Ye Qingchen hastened his steps, quickly escaping Chen Rui’s sight, mind rapidly considering the next plans.

Earlier in Jiang Qi’s palace hall, he sensed situations far more complicated than anticipated, Xiao Xiao’s Demonic Qi turning out to be a significant peril and this secret must be solved promptly.

Yet presently, within the palace city, he must swiftly discern Qin Yue’s whereabouts.

Ye Qingchen walked along the stone slab paths of the palace city, steps light and assured, striving to make no noise.

He knew well, throughout this palace city were Jiang Qi’s spies, every step had to be cautious.

His gaze roamed continuously, sharply catching every corner’s movements.

Keeping his head lowered, he looked as much like an ordinary servant as possible, avoiding suspicion.

Whenever a servant approached from afar, Ye Qingchen would quietly duck into shadows, holding his breath, waiting until those servants passed.

His actions were cautious, as though a ghost merged with night, leaving no trace.

Each successful evasion left his nerves tense, pulling lightly without relaxation.

Ye Qingchen carried onwards, anxiety brimming inside; he continually searched within the palace city, aiming to uncover Qin Yue’s trace. Upon reaching a building, he would halt, observe the doors, windows, and surroundings meticulously.

Through these minute observations, he tried to determine if anyone resided inside, whether this could be where Qin Yue was held captive.

His gaze eagle-sharp, leaving no detail unexamined.

He carefully checked each window’s state, looking for signs of disturbance or any unusual sounds emanating from within. He also observed the ground surrounding, searching for fresh footprints or evidence of activity.

However, most palace city buildings were heavily guarded, even with servants entering and exiting, rarely were mistakes evident.

Growing increasingly anxious, Ye Qingchen knew time was short, he must swiftly locate Qin Yue.
