Chapter 104: Chapter 95: Fatty’s Compromise, Meeting the Nanling Group Again

Faced with the questions from Qin Xiangyuan and the others, Qin Ye’s chest heaved violently. He gasped for air, looking as though he might go into shock at any moment. This alone showed just how deeply shaken he was, his inner world having suffered an unprecedented impact.

"It’s... it’s him!" Qin Ye finally cried out after staring at the group from Qin City for a long time.

It was him. It had to be him. The ghost mask, the figure hidden beneath the black robes, and the astounding feat of popping pills like candy... Combined with the soaring killing intent that black-robed figure had displayed when slaying the peerless monster of the Celestial Sword Sect, all these clues told Qin Ye that the terrifying, ghost-faced, black-robed entity was indeed him.

Hearing Qin Ye’s words, Qin Xiangyuan and the others didn’t react immediately, their faces filled with confusion.

"Him? Who? Qin Ye, do you know something?" the group from Qin City asked in shock, entirely in the dark about who he was referring to.

Ultimately, it was the intelligent Qin Xiangyuan who caught on first. Her slender frame trembled violently as she looked at Qin Ye in disbelief. "Qin Ye, do you mean...?"

Seeing the emotional fluctuations in Qin Xiangyuan’s beautiful eyes, Qin Ye knew she had guessed who he was talking about. He gave a heavy nod, a stormy tempest raging in his own eyes.

"Qin Fan?" Qin Xiangyuan whispered, looking as though she had been struck by lightning. Her body shook violently, and her soft voice revealed endless horror.

The moment these words were spoken, the group from Qin City turned pale with shock, huge ripples of astonishment appearing in their eyes.

"What did you say? He... he is...?" The person speaking instantly swallowed the rest of their sentence.

Clearly, everyone from Qin City knew how much lethal danger this secret posed to that figure, and what a massive storm it would stir up. Although no one dared to utter another word about it, their hearts were in turmoil, like a single stone kicking up a thousand ripples.

Meanwhile, the entire army of cultivators remained plunged in endless shock.

Atop the summit of a certain Divine Mountain.

Countless cultivators of the Celestial Sword Sect scaled the peak, gathering around their sect’s peerless monster. It was obvious that this Divine Mountain had already been suppressed by this so-called Tian Jiu, whose terrifying aura was absolutely staggering.

"Greetings, Senior Tian Jiu," Mo Yan said, leading all the Celestial Sword Sect disciples in a deep bow toward him.

The surviving Ye Xiaotian, Wang Jiang, and the others also hurriedly bowed. Even though they knew the Celestial Sword Sect had used them as mere stepping stones to scout the way, they didn’t dare voice their anger.

Faced with everyone’s salutations, the terrifying youth known as Tian Jiu didn’t respond. It was as if these Celestial Sword Sect disciples weren’t even worthy of his acknowledgment.

Mo Yan and the others weren’t angry, however. Mo Yan immediately turned to face the disciples. "Has anyone seen Jiang Hao again?"

He asked in a low voice, still brooding over that figure. If they didn’t kill him, the Celestial Sword Sect would be breeding a future disaster.

However, the crowd shook their heads one after another, indicating they hadn’t seen any trace of him.

"To answer you, Senior," one disciple said, "ever since we entered the Ancient Emperor Sect ruins, it’s like the man vanished from the face of the earth. We haven’t seen hide nor hair of him."

"It’s strange," another added. "Logically speaking, after going to all that trouble to enter this realm, he should be participating in the scramble for resources."

"But we just checked all the Divine Mountains and didn’t see any sign of him. He hasn’t even appeared on the Eighteen Peaks," a third chimed in.

At those words, all the cultivators of the Celestial Sword Sect furrowed their brows tightly. The upper echelons of the sect had issued a strict kill order: if any Celestial Sword Sect cultivator saw Jiang Hao, they were to capture him alive or kill him on the spot. In short, no matter what, they had to bring Jiang Hao back to the sect. If they couldn’t bring him back alive, they had to bring back his corpse.

Yet now, the man had entered the Ancient Emperor Sect ruins alongside them and vanished right under their noses. When the sect demanded answers later, it would be a responsibility they couldn’t bear. Thinking of this, the expressions of all the Celestial Sword Sect cultivators fell into dismay.

"Do you think he found out Senior Tian Jiu also came to the ruins and is too scared to show his face?" someone murmured.

"Most likely," another agreed. "To think he’d lose even the courage to fight for fortuitous encounters just to stay alive. We really overestimated him."

"By now, he’s probably already fled the area."

At this point, many of the cultivators’ eyes were filled with disdain. What "future great threat"? The moment he saw Senior Tian Jiu, he didn’t even dare show his face to fight for the legacy. Fearing a cultivator like that was truly giving him too much credit.

To the chatter of the Celestial Sword Sect disciples, the terrifying, peerless monster known as Tian Jiu didn’t say a single word. He simply stepped into the void and departed.

With his departure, the rest of the cultivators also began to withdraw from the Ancient Emperor Sect. The Spirit Pool of this realm had already been drained dry, and the fortuitous encounters had been completely divided up. There was no point in staying any longer.

More importantly, this was the ruins of an ancient Dynasty. The Ancient Emperor Sect was nothing but the tip of the iceberg; finding the next opportunity was the real priority.

However, although everyone had left the Ancient Emperor Sect, the lingering impact left by the terrifying entity in the ghost mask was quite substantial. Gradually, tales of that fearsome figure began to spread in all directions. And Jiang Hao, wearing his black robes and mask, was bestowed a title by many cultivators—the Ghost-faced Asura, the Hellish Rakshasa!

Time slowly trickled by, and in the blink of an eye, a month quickly passed. The battle at the Ancient Emperor Sect had officially drawn to a close.

One day, a month later.

Amidst the rolling mountain ranges of the vast and boundless ancient ruins.

BOOM!!!

A thousand-foot wave of staff energy swept across the mountains and rivers, terrifying to the extreme.

"Damn it, to hell with this! How can this guy be so terrifying?"

In the void, Fatty, clad in Daoist robes, gasped for air. Seeing yet another of his staff strikes miss its mark, he was instantly stricken with absolute horror.
