Chapter 182: Chapter 132: Facing Countless Geniuses, a Great Battle Is Imminent
"It seems Senior is very confident in his descendant."
Looking at the white-clad youth trapped inside the Celestial Sword Sect’s Sect Protection Array, Master Cangchen had no idea what Jiang Renfeng had up his sleeve.
However, since the boy had appeared inside their territory, the Celestial Sword Sect naturally wouldn’t pass up such a golden opportunity. He didn’t even need to give the order as the Sect Leader; the countless exceptional talents of the sect inside the array already knew exactly what to do.
Hearing this, the corners of Jiang Renfeng’s lips curled up slightly. "I hope you can still smile later."
Having personally witnessed the boy’s achievements in the Dragon Transformation Pool, Jiang Renfeng naturally knew how monstrously powerful he had become.
He had thrown the boy in for two reasons: first, to take this opportunity to temper him, and second, to test the absolute upper limits of his descendant’s strength.
Master Cangchen paid no mind to Jiang Renfeng’s remark, acting as if he already had victory in the bag.
"In that case, this junior would like to exchange a few moves with you, Senior. Let’s see how much you’ve improved over the years."
With that, Master Cangchen took a step forward, intending to force Jiang Renfeng into a battle in the sky.
He had initially thought that with Jiang Renfeng’s intervention, it would be extremely difficult for the Celestial Sword Sect to kill the boy. Unexpectedly, Jiang Renfeng had tossed the boy straight into the array. Did he really think the younger generation of the Celestial Sword Sect were all useless fools?
Master Cangchen reacted swiftly, formulating his own plan in an instant. All he needed to do was stall Jiang Renfeng and prevent him from taking the boy out of the array. The countless peerless geniuses and absolute monsters among the sect’s younger generation would then be able to easily capture him.
"You want to exchange a few moves? That’s simple enough," Jiang Renfeng said with a harmless smile. "Yan Nantian!"
In the void behind Jiang Renfeng, Yan Nantian, who was lounging lazily on his Flying Sword while drinking, paused slightly with his wine jug in hand. He didn’t respond immediately.
Not hearing the familiar voice, the white-haired Jiang Renfeng couldn’t help but look back.
"Xiaonanzi, exchange a few moves with him."
"Senior, he’s looking for you, not me. I’m not good at fighting," Yan Nantian immediately refused, playing his lazy persona to the absolute extreme.
Jiang Renfeng wasn’t angry. Instead, he said with a hint of helplessness, "You two are both professionals at playing with swords. You’re far more suited for this than I am."
Seeing Jiang Renfeng’s serious, preachy expression, Yan Nantian rolled his eyes so hard they nearly stuck that way.
Then, the white-haired youth continued, "Xiaonanzi, didn’t you bring that boy back to Nanling yourself? He’s your disciple.
"Your disciple has been hunted down until he has nowhere to run. They’re clearly disrespecting you as his master.
"Are you really just going to watch that little brat Cangchen bully your beloved disciple?"
Hearing Jiang Renfeng’s painfully awkward and cringe-inducing attempt at goading him, Yan Nantian shook his head in resignation.
A moment later, the number one Sword Saint of the Sword Dynasty slowly turned to look at Saint Cangchen. "Master Cangchen, are you sure you want to exchange blows with me?" he asked with utmost reluctance. "Aren’t you afraid of humiliating yourself in front of so many of your disciples?"
Master Cangchen’s face instantly turned a livid shade of green and purple. It was obvious this wasn’t the first time they had crossed paths.
"Senior, this junior has already experienced Brother Yan’s brilliant techniques in the past," Master Cangchen said to Jiang Renfeng. "I would still prefer it if you would grant me a few pointers."
BOOM!!!
His eyes narrowed slightly. With a wave of his hand, an earth-shattering wave of Sword Qi slashed fiercely toward Jiang Renfeng.
In the next second, the white-haired youth’s figure flickered and vanished. When he reappeared, he was already standing in the void behind Yan Nantian.
"Senior, have you truly thrown away all your pride?" Master Cangchen gritted out.
"Little brat Cangchen, after all these years, you still don’t know me?" Jiang Renfeng retorted. "I’ve never liked bullying my juniors. You can’t even beat Xiaonanzi, so you’re not worthy of fighting me. Xiaonanzi, handle him."
He patted Yan Nantian on the shoulder, leaving the countless observing Cultivators utterly dumbfounded. What kind of bizarre duo was this?
A dignified Divine King and a Saint—yet neither displayed even a shred of the majestic demeanor expected of supreme experts.
"Hmph, aren’t you underestimating me a bit too much, Senior?" Master Cangchen sneered. "It’s been three thousand years. Do you really think this Saint is still the same Master Cangchen from back then?"
BOOM!!!
He tore through the air, his terrifying Saint Power shaking the void to an absolute extreme.
"Sigh," Yan Nantian mumbled, shaking his head helplessly. There was no ripple of emotion in his eyes. Instead, he simply lifted his wine jug and took another long gulp.
While drinking, his other hand wasn’t idle. He brought two fingers together and pointed them casually at Master Cangchen.
"Eleven, play with him for a bit."
HUM!!!
As soon as Yan Nantian spoke, an earth-shattering sword pressure erupted from the distant mountain range.
A tiny sword, barely an inch long, tore across the sky. As it flew against the wind, it expanded rapidly, instantly transforming into a colossal broadsword that blotted out the sky.
It was widely known that the South Mountain Sword Saint, Yan Nantian, possessed a Lifebound Magical Artifact named Eleven. He never carried it on his person, yet it was omnipresent—coming at his call and leaving at his command, imbued with extraordinary sentience.
SWISH!!!
Eleven streaked forward, constantly erupting with increasingly terrifying sword pressure along the way.
When it reached Yan Nantian, he simply traced a circle in the air with his sword fingers. In a flash, one sword split into four, four into sixteen, and sixteen into thirty-two.
The thirty-two giant swords formed a massive ring, radiating an unparalleled, world-suppressing aura.
"Go!"
With a casual point of his finger, the thirty-two giant swords shattered the heavens and slashed toward the oncoming Master Cangchen.
Feeling the shocking Sword Intent and Sword Dao emanating from the blades, Master Cangchen’s expression changed drastically. He was forced back by the sword shadows, evidently extremely wary of them.
However, the moment he was forced into retreat, the Branch Sect Leader felt a chill shoot up from the soles of his feet. He looked down, only to realize that an even more gargantuan sword shadow had silently appeared beneath him, thrusting upward against the heavens.
