Chapter 244: Chapter 155: Alchemist Secret Technique, Mu Yunshang’s Prying
After finishing his words, he thought for a moment.
"Also, from now on, without my orders, no one is allowed to take a single step into the bedchamber. That includes Junior Brother Jiang."
"Yes."
Hearing this, Qing’Er and Ling’Er bowed slightly. They slowly retreated outside and carefully closed the door behind them.
Outside, in the tranquil courtyard.
As the two young girls turned around, they exchanged a glance. Their eyes seemed to say that this Eldest Senior Brother was somewhat different from the other Cultivators in the sect.
If it were any other Cultivator who had just become an Inner Sect Disciple, on the night they were assigned Maid Disciples, they would be like wild horses slipping their reins, eager to devour them completely. Although neither of them had experienced such a thing yet, they had heard many Maid Disciples discussing it.
Inside the bedchamber.
Jiang Hao surveyed the extremely magnificent decorations within the hall, his heart profoundly shocked. It was no wonder that so many Cultivators in a sect would fight to the death to climb the ranks. It turned out that a Cultivator’s life could be this comfortable; amidst the cruelty, there was an aspect that the world envied.
Of course, the prerequisite was being strong enough.
Only now did Jiang Hao finally have the time to properly examine this bedchamber.
The surroundings were resplendent and magnificent, lit by countless Beast Oil Long-burning Lamps. By the looks of it, they wouldn’t extinguish even if their fuel was only changed once a decade. They illuminated the entire hall, accentuating its luxuriousness.
In the center of the bedchamber was a Dao Platform for meditation and cultivation. Around the Dao Platform, a Spirit Gathering Array was visibly laid out, drawing all the Spiritual Qi on Great Ming Peak toward this spot until it was so dense it was almost tangible.
To the east of the Dao Platform was an indoor Alchemy Room, while to the west was a Cultivation Chamber covering hundreds of square meters, presumably used for practicing martial arts. The walls were etched with Array Inscriptions that operated silently and endlessly.
After wandering around, Jiang Hao stood atop the Dao Platform. This had truly broadened his horizons.
How was this just a bedchamber? This was clearly a fully equipped palace! The density of the Spiritual Qi on the Dao Platform was comparable to the Nanling Sacred City.
"The heritage of a Holy Sect seems even more terrifying than I imagined," he remarked.
Having taken a brief tour, Jiang Hao stopped looking around and directly sat cross-legged on the Dao Platform.
In an instant, a terrifying amount of Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi surged over, leaving him deeply astounded. What horrified him even more was that the moment he began meditating, it felt as though he had merged into one with the entire Dao Platform, yielding twice the result with half the effort.
Not only that, but at a certain moment, he abruptly raised his eyes, as if he had grasped something.
"Is this... the Enlightenment Realm?"
Jiang Hao paused completely, feeling as if a current of electricity had flowed from the top of his head through every pore of his body.
That was right, the Enlightenment Realm. To be precise, this was not a realm of cultivation, but an extremely profound state of being. Jiang Hao had accidentally entered this state once during the Celestial List selection in the Nanling Sacred City. Unfortunately, he hadn’t managed to glimpse his own Dao that time.
He thought in shock, "This Dao Platform can actually help someone enter the Enlightenment Realm?"
Amidst his shock, Jiang Hao hurriedly sat cross-legged to meditate, wanting to seize this opportunity. Regrettably, that state was merely a fleeting flash. When he tried to capture it, it vanished into thin air instantly, leaving no trace to follow.
No matter how many times Jiang Hao repeatedly tried, he could no longer awaken the Enlightenment Realm. He even stood up and sat back down, stepping out and stepping back in, but there was still no reaction.
"It seems I can’t rush this," he muttered.
Although he couldn’t find that state again, Jiang Hao was astonished by this Dao Platform of the Beardless Sect. Clearly, there was some hidden mechanism here. If he could cultivate on it long-term, it wasn’t impossible for him to enter that state again.
For a Cultivator seeking Founding Dao Foundation and stepping into the Realm of Dao Entry, enlightenment was an indispensable step. Although he was currently still several minor realms away from Founding Dao Foundation, being able to enter that state early was naturally something one could only dream of.
After calming down, Jiang Hao didn’t waste any more time. He immediately sat cross-legged and began to cultivate.
For so many years, even while fleeing on the road, he never forgot to seize every moment to cultivate. His cultivation base had stabilized at the middle level of the Early-stage of Transcendent Realm and was slowly growing.
He thought, "There’s no need to worry too much about my cultivation base. The most pressing matter is to practice some martial arts suitable for the Mortal Transformation Realm to improve my combat strength."
To this day, Jiang Hao had practiced far too few martial arts. The Sword Techniques and martial arts of the Qin Family that he had trained in back in Qin City were no longer applicable at his current realm. At present, he still had the Eighteen Styles of the Heavenly Hand, the Heavenly Spirit 72 Swords, and Heaven Breaker that he could use. However, if he were to truly encounter top-tier, peerless freaks, he feared they wouldn’t be quite enough.
"Choosing a martial art to practice is of the utmost urgency," he mused. "Or, I could choose a powerful Alchemist Secret Technique."
Now that he had settled down a bit, Jiang Hao was no longer a vagabond on the run. He began to leverage his own advantages.
Compared to practicing martial arts, an Alchemy Master possessed the innate condition of controlling the Fire of Heaven and Earth. Practicing an Alchemist Secret Technique would naturally yield twice the result with half the effort. After all, this type of Secret Technique was tailor-made for an Alchemy Master. It was said that some terrifyingly extreme Alchemist Secret Techniques could burn the void with Celestial Fire in a single thought, suppressing and killing Cultivators of the Saint Realm.
Speaking of the Alchemy Dao, Jiang Hao couldn’t help but sigh.
He had been improving his accomplishments in the Alchemy Dao all these years. Just as Master Beardless had said, his Alchemy Realm had indeed reached the level of a Tier Five Alchemy Master—and specifically, a Tier Five Pill Master at the Peak of Ninth Grade. However, he hadn’t made an inch of progress for over half a year.
"It’s time to find a method for a breakthrough," he murmured.
For a Pill Master, a breakthrough undoubtedly relied on a single word—refining!
But the prerequisite for refining was having pill recipes in hand, followed by heavenly materials and earthly treasures. Of course, if one had a mighty expert in the Alchemy Dao to provide guidance, that would be a different story.
Jiang Hao’s struggle lay in the fact that he had no one to guide him. For so many years, almost all of his achievements had been attained by blindly groping his way forward step by step.
