Is Your Armor Legal
Chapter 38 Boarding, Omens
Chapter 38: Chapter 38: Boarding, Omens
Standing at the back with all these gun barrels pointed at him, Feng Yin felt a massive sense of crisis rise within him.
He stared fixedly at the guards’ fingers resting on their triggers, ready to use Manifestation Armor at a moment’s notice. Although a public Transformation here would lead to endless trouble, that was a problem for later.
Whoever wanted to kill him, he would kill them first!
Amidst the tense atmosphere, the Caucasian supervisor who was familiar with Hong Yuan came rushing over. "Hong Yuan! What are you doing!?"
Hong Yuan slapped his bald head and took a deep breath, piling a smile onto his face. "Zoer, it’s nothing. I was just having a friendly chat with our guard friend here."
Seeing Zoer arrive, the guards silently lowered their weapons.
Zoer stepped up to them and shot Hong Yuan a warning glare. "Rein in your temper. Don’t cause trouble."
Hong Yuan chuckled. "Zoer, my friend, you know how it is. If Old Xie and I really wanted to cause trouble, these guys with guns would already be dead." With that, he turned his head and gave the guard who had provoked them earlier an icy glare.
The guard had been looking rather smug, but under Hong Yuan’s direct stare, he shuddered involuntarily. He inexplicably felt as though he were being eyed by a ferocious tiger, making him almost want to raise his gun again.
Zoer patted Hong Yuan’s shoulder, his gaze carrying a deeper meaning. "You think you’re so tough? You’re just at the Fierce Level. If you actually laid a hand on our guards, do you think you could walk out of here?"
Hong Yuan rubbed his bald head with a sheepish grin. "You make a good point. But I didn’t actually do anything, right?"
"Sure you didn’t. Hurry up and go!" Zoer said coldly, then turned around to lead the way.
Feng Yin and the others silently followed.
Before leaving, he clearly heard the guard muttering curses behind them, "You might look respectable, but you’re still a heavy-duty felon. Just a lowlife who will never get out of here for the rest of his life!"
Feng Yin turned his head and silently cast a glance at the guard, then calmly looked away as the man defensively raised his gun in threat. He had already memorized this person’s appearance and badge number.
"What an ugly bastard," Feng Yin thought. "I need to find a way to send him to Hell, just so he stops dragging down the average looks of humanity."

The rest of the journey proceeded in silence.
Zoer led the group to the assembly point for the external personnel. With a single glance, Feng Yin estimated there were about five hundred people.
Beside him, Xie Yanran said casually, "Normally, the guards with firearms would be more than enough for security. However, those VIPs are quite sensitive to firearms—they’re afraid of being shot in the back.
"That’s why they need us, inner circle guards who only use melee weapons."
"I see." Feng Yin nodded lightly. "They certainly are cautious."
The next second, Feng Yin noticed Xie Yanran’s gaze sharpen. Following her line of sight, he also paused.
Standing at the forefront was a tall man with flowing long hair, wearing a demon mask. It was none other than Ya Lie.
The moment Feng Yin saw Ya Lie, he immediately recalled the information he had heard from Kondo Makoto. Kondo had hired Ya Lie to assassinate Hong Yuan and Xie Yanran.
But now that the entire Ren Sheng Group had disbanded, would this formidable Blade Master still make a move? And if this man really did strike, how was he supposed to save the two of them in his Armor form without exposing his identity?
At this moment, as if sensing the group’s gaze, Ya Lie turned his head and shot a brief glance in their direction. Upon spotting Hong Yuan and Xie Yanran, a look of amusement flickered in his eyes before he quickly turned back around.
Hong Yuan and Sister Xie had also noticed his scrutiny. The two exchanged confused glances, wondering why the hottest and most powerful Blade Master in the Death Madness Tower would pay attention to them. However, since Ya Lie didn’t spare them another look, they began to doubt whether they were just being overly sensitive.

Soon, everyone was assembled in formation. They registered at a designated location and received their standard-issue equipment: an unsharpened, yet high-quality, short baton with a handguard, and a transparent Explosion-Proof Shield.
Clearly, the purpose of this equipment was primarily for protection during critical moments, not for killing enemies. Feng Yin gripped the "shield and sword" in his hands, feeling somewhat unaccustomed to them. They were light and lacked substance.
As for their own weapons, they had naturally been left behind in the Tongzi Building—no criminal dared to step into the vicinity of the Death Madness Tower carrying a weapon.
Seeing Feng Yin’s unnatural posture, Brother Hong patted his shoulder. "Haha, don’t worry too much about it. Under normal circumstances, this kind of guard duty is just for show. There won’t be a time when we actually need to fight."
Xie Yanran, however, said softly, "Old Hong, don’t instill that kind of mindset in him. It could get him killed at a crucial moment."
Hong Yuan stared blankly at Xie Yanran. Seeing the enigmatic look in her eyes, his expression shifted. "Old Xie? What do you mean by that?"
Xie Yanran didn’t let him finish his question, raising a finger to her lips in a shushing gesture instead. Hong Yuan instantly quieted down, but he couldn’t hide the excitement dancing across his face.
Watching the two of them, who seemed to have just communicated through some kind of secret code, Feng Yin sensed something unusual was brewing.
"Senior Sister..." He wanted to ask Xie Yanran what was going on, but she was already turning to look at him.
She slowly shook her head. "Say no more. Just stick close to me from now on."
Feng Yin nodded thoughtfully. "Alright, I’ll listen to you, Senior Sister."
While they were speaking, ten buses had already pulled up. Following Xie Yanran and the others, Feng Yin boarded the vehicles alongside hundreds of people under the guidance of Zero Point Group’s staff. The massive convoy quickly set off, bypassing the plaza of the Death Madness Tower and heading down the road behind it, going straight towards the pier of Border Prison Island.

In the terminal building by Border Prison Island’s large pier, Feng Yin had been on standby for half the day. He finally saw the legendary cruise ship full of VIPs dock at the pier.
Up ahead, the figure acting as the head of security, accompanied by Ya Lie, shouted loudly, directing all external security personnel to enter the terminal’s boarding bridge connecting to the massive ship.
Walking at a brisk pace, Xie Yanran instructed Feng Yin, "Your Brother Hong and I have done this kind of ferry security work plenty of times. Every squad has its assigned patrol sector. Be careful not to wander off, lest you cause unnecessary trouble."
Feng Yin nodded slightly in acknowledgment. He was also quite full of anticipation—he was finally going to see more of what this world was really like.
Moreover, according to Xie Yanran, a small number of people on this ship even had the power to bail criminals out of Border Prison Island. Was it possible for him to gain their favor?

Meanwhile, on the top deck of the cruise ship, Xiao Yu had changed into an elegant black dress. Accompanied by Xie Jingyuan and a group of attendants, she stood in a suite, waiting to be notified for departure.
Outwardly, she maintained the elegant, aloof demeanor of a wealthy heiress, but she secretly asked in a smug voice as soft as a mosquito’s buzz, "Master, look at my image. I didn’t embarrass the Xuan Guang Group, did I?"
Hearing his mischievous disciple, Xie Jingyuan shook his head helplessly. "You’re a grown woman, yet you’re still as unserious as ever."
"Hehehe." Xiao Yu chuckled. "Master, how are we going to find Senior Sister later?"
"Her skills are quite impressive, so she’s likely been recruited by the Zero Point Consortium to serve as a ship guard," Xie Jingyuan replied. "We should be able to spot her just by walking around."
"Great! This feels a bit thrilling, like being a secret agent." Xiao Yu beamed.
Xie Jingyuan was left speechless.
