In the very center of the woods was Jiang Yuxing’s shelter.

A massive banyan tree, so large it blotted out the sun, stood like a giant umbrella. He had built his shelter where its great branches forked.

It was a tree hollow—completely natural.

Branches hung down from the tree and grew back into the soil. Jiang Yuxing had filled the gaps between them with stones he’d laid himself, building a wall that formed a circular courtyard.

Shi Zhile was a little envious. ’Now *this* is the kind of place a girl should live in,’ she thought.

Just as Chuyi was about to push open the courtyard gate, Jiang Yuxing stopped him.

"Don’t use the main gate. Follow me."

The group followed him on a short detour, ducking into a tree hollow in a neighboring tree, completely hidden by leaves.

The narrow path twisted and turned. After about a quarter of an hour, they finally saw light ahead.

Jiang Yuxing stepped out first, and the other three followed.

Inside the courtyard, there were three pools of blood on the ground. A large net hung from a branch, and faint, hoarse whimpers could be heard from within.

Shi Zhile looked at Jiang Yuxing. "You put poison in your yard?"

Jiang Yuxing shook his head. "Not exactly poison. It’s Strong Boiling Powder. This drug paralyzes their entire body. They can’t even move the roots of their tongues."

Shi Zhile, Chuyi, and Wang Peng all stared at him, their expressions saying they wanted nothing more than to grab Jiang Yuxing and shake him.

Wang Peng held out a hand. "Brother Nan, hungry..."

Jiang Yuxing: "Get lost!"

He walked over to the tree and untied the rope fastened to it. A second later, the net dropped to the ground.

The three people inside lay stiff as boards, their faces bloody from the fall.

Shi Zhile pressed her axe against one of their necks. "Want to live? If you do, hand over everything in your backpack."

When a player dies, the system confiscates half their supplies, so killing opponents outright was unwise.

The panel and backpack were controlled mentally. As long as a person was alive and willing, they could take items out of their backpack.

The three men whimpered incoherently, drool trickling from the corners of their mouths.

Chuyi crouched down, a clean smile on his face. "We’re all good citizens here. We don’t start trouble, and we don’t like to kill. Just leave your supplies, we’ll give you the antidote, and we can let you go."

Of course, that was assuming they could actually get away.

A pile of supplies appeared behind the fattest and most cowardly of the three.

People who dared to rob and kill weren’t cowards. If they acted like it, it only meant they were temporarily scared out of their wits.

Jiang Yuxing took out an antidote and, while feeding it to the man, said, "It doesn’t feel good to watch your teammate dissolve into a pool of blood right before your eyes, does it?"

"Which part dissolved first? The head or the feet? Or maybe the head and feet dissolved into blood at the same time."

"When the poison splashed onto the skin, the flesh rotted instantly. Was there a stench?"

His questions forced the three to recall the image of their teammate melting into a bloody pulp, and they began to tremble uncontrollably.

The fatty, having taken the antidote, could now speak, though his body was still numb. "I... I was wrong. I... I’ll never... never rob... rob anyone again! I was wrong, I was really wrong!"

The three men took out more supplies. Seeing the pile, even the wealthy Shi Zhile’s eyes widened with greed.

’Wow! It’s beef!’

Shi Zhile pressed the axe a little harder, and blood trickled from the fatty’s neck. 𝘧𝓇ℯℴ𝓂

Shi Zhile looked at Jiang Yuxing, who smoothly took the axe from her hand.

With a lift of his arm and a fall of the axe, a round head rolled away.

One of the remaining captives screamed, but the sound soon turned into a wet gurgle. Shi Zhile looked over and saw that Chuyi had shot an arrow through his neck.

Wang Peng cracked his knuckles, walked over, and with a gentle twist, snapped the last man’s head to the side.

Shi Zhile: "..."

’Devils!’

’Why couldn’t they leave just one for me to kill?!’

After the Corpse Dissolving Water cleaned up the bodies, Shi Zhile, Chuyi, and Wang Peng scrambled to climb up to the tree hollow.

Chuyi grinned mischievously. "Charge! Finders keepers!"

Wang Peng raised his hands. "It’s all mine!"

Shi Zhile’s mouth twitched. "Down with the captain! All hail the loot!"

Jiang Yuxing followed silently behind them, looking completely out of place.

Inside, the tree hollow was clean and tidy, furnished with a large bed and a table. It couldn’t have been simpler.

Wang Peng spoke under his breath, "The room is clean and doesn’t smell. He’s either a pretty boy or gay."

Jiang Yuxing punched him. "If you don’t want that mouth anymore, I can help you sew it shut."

Just as he finished speaking, the space distorted for a moment.

Chuyi and Wang Peng’s figures began to fade inside the tree hollow. "What’s going on? Is the Summon Order expiring? Fuck, I’ve only been here for two days! I haven’t even seen the second island refresh yet."

As they finished speaking, their figures vanished completely.

Shi Zhile: "Two days? They’ve been here for two days? Does that mean those ten people were on your island for two days?"

’It took them two days to kill only four people? Are these three grown men that pathetic?’

Jiang Yuxing cleared his throat. "The island that refreshes every three days only appears at night, so we aren’t on our island at night. Naturally, we didn’t know there were people here."

"Okay, so with a Summon Order, can players only be teleported back when the time is up?"

Jiang Yuxing shook his head. "More or less. Chuyi and Wang Peng were probably among the first people in the game to use a Summon Order, so they even got a reward."

Sand was a primary building material, and Shi Zhile was short on it.

Rather than trying to trade for it with others, it was better to risk landing on the island. There might be unexpected gains.

"I’ll go."

He pointed to his bed. "You rest. I’m going to reinforce the shelter."

Shi Zhile didn’t refuse and lay down on the bed without taking off her clothes.

Before she knew it, she had fallen asleep.

The latest leaderboard after the merger of the three servers was out.

Jiang Yuxing was still ranked number one. Second place had changed to Sun Ci from the former Server 3.

Chuyi had been in third place, but Shi Zhile had risen from fifth to third, successfully bumping Chuyi from his spot.
