Chapter 51: Chapter 51: Sibling Reunion, A Big Fight

Wang Peng: "Why are you covering your face?"

Jiang Jing remained silent, merely lifting his gaze to glance at Shi Zhile.

Shi Zhile: "..."

She looked at Wang Peng and cleared her throat. "Brother Peng, my friend... he’s a bit introverted and doesn’t like to talk much."

Chuyi’s gaze shifted between the two of them. "Brother Nan is at the bottom of the Medicine Lake. Have you seen him?"

Shi Zhile didn’t want to deal with him, but for Jiang Yu’s sake, she nodded. "We saw him on a video call."

"Do you have a way to save Brother Nan?"

"No!"

’The situation at the bottom of the lake is a mystery, and the dangers of the Medicine Lake are unknown. Rushing in to save someone would only put me in danger.’

Chuyi choked on his words, his usual smiling expression vanishing completely. "Shi Zhile, Brother Nan is trapped, and you don’t seem worried at all. Are you really that heartless?"

Shi Zhile’s expression instantly darkened.

’She had never been a good-tempered person. If he didn’t have so many lackeys, she would have figured out a way to kill him the very first time he’d shown her any hostility.’

"Aside from the few days we spent together in that instance, I have no connection to any of you. What conscience do I owe you? Why on earth should I be worried?"

"You!"

Chuyi tried to say more, but Jiang Yu and Wang Peng clamped their hands over his mouth from either side.

"Zhile, Chuyi... he’s just really worried about Jiang Yuxing, so he’s not thinking straight," Jiang Yu said.

"That’s right, Sister Zhile. Chuyi didn’t mean it like that."

Shi Zhile unhurriedly finished her last piece of watermelon. "What he meant is irrelevant to me. We clearly don’t see eye to eye, so it’s best we all go our separate ways."

Shi Zhile stored everything in her Breeding Space, then led Jiang Jing deeper into the area.

After they had walked a considerable distance, Jiang Jing glanced at her cautiously. "You know, you didn’t have to get into an argument with them for my sake."

’The best way to avoid being seen by Jiang Yu was to leave. He’d thought Shi Zhile was just using the situation as an excuse, intentionally escalating the conflict to create a reason to part ways.’

Shi Zhile stopped in her tracks. "What’s wrong with you? I argued with him simply because I can’t stand the sight of him."

Thinking about Chuyi’s relationship with Jiang Yu, she decided to openly stir the pot.

"Chuyi is Jiang Yu’s boyfriend. Don’t be fooled by his decent appearance; he’s rotten to the core.

I don’t know if you’re okay with her dating a guy like that, but if I were you, I wouldn’t be.

Also, he values Jiang Yuxing far more than anyone else."

And "anyone else" naturally included Jiang Yu.

Jiang Jing took a deep breath. "What does it matter if I’m not? She probably wishes I’d died years ago."

The cloth in his hand was so filthy that Shi Zhile couldn’t stand it any longer. She pulled out a face mask she’d gotten from a treasure chest and handed it to him.

"Do me a favor and put that rag away. It makes me sick watching you cover your mouth with it."

"So young and your eyes are already failing you? How does this look like a rag? It’s my face towel, for your information."

Shi Zhile simply ignored him.

After Shi Zhile had finished searching a hundred-meter radius, the two found a clean spot and took out some beef to eat.

Just as they finished their meal, they heard oinking and snorting sounds from a patch of tall grass in the distance.

Jiang Jing grabbed a shovel and went over. After parting the grass to take a look, he turned and waved at her, a joyful look on his face.

Shi Zhile went over and squatted down behind him.

"It’s a wild boar. This kind has a tough hide and is very aggressive. The chances of us killing it on our own are slim to none."

Shi Zhile cut him off. "We’ll do the same thing we did with the ox. I’ll pull it into the Breeding Space, we’ll set traps, and then we’ll kill it."

’Chuyi was too hostile toward her. She couldn’t trust him enough to turn her back on him, and she was afraid he’d use any opportunity to launch a sneak attack. For her own safety, she would never cooperate with Chuyi.’

"That’s a good idea. Can the space pull things in from a distance? Or how about I go make contact with the boar, and you pull it into the space directly?"

Jiang Jing had more agility than Shi Zhile, so it would be much safer for him to make contact with the boar than for her to do it herself.

Shi Zhile had never tried that before. Worried about startling the boar, she decided to go herself anyway.

But before she could take a step, the wild boar seemed to get drunk. Its body swayed, and it toppled headfirst to the ground.

The two exchanged a glance. Jiang Jing stepped forward and prodded the boar a few times with his shovel.

"It’s safe, for now."

Shi Zhile stepped out, and a panel popped up.

[Wild Boar: Has consumed anesthetic grass. Currently in a comatose state. Decompose?]

"Decompose!"

"Yes!"

They both shouted at once, afraid that if they were a second too slow, the boar would get back up.

[You have obtained: Pig Head x1, Pig Trotters x4, Pork x50, Pig Bones x10, Pork Chops x20. All items have been added to your backpack.]

The wild boar on the ground vanished, replaced by the meat in her backpack.

Shi Zhile breathed a sigh of relief and squatted down to examine the grass the boar had been eating.

It was a patch of green that looked no different from common weeds. If not for the panel’s description, Shi Zhile would have completely overlooked it.

[Anesthetic Grass: The primary ingredient for crafting Anesthetic Powder. Non-toxic. When eaten raw, it causes full-body paralysis in humans and animals for 15 minutes. (Tired? Can’t sleep? That’s because you haven’t met me! Big or small, one bite and you’re down for the count~)]

Shi Zhile reached out and transferred the anesthetic grass into her Planting Space. To prevent anyone from eating it by accident, she planted it in the farthest corner.

Jiang Jing stared in disbelief as the plant simply vanished. "Did your space level up? The Breeding Space was already ridiculously overpowered, and now the Planting Space can instantly transplant things? How are us regular players even supposed to compete!"

Shi Zhile turned around with a smile, but it froze on her face. "Jiang Yu, what are you doing here?"

Jiang Jing scrambled to put his mask back on; he had taken it off to eat earlier.

Jiang Yu didn’t say a word, her eyes fixed on Jiang Jing’s back.

"Jiang Yu?"

"Jiang Jing, you can stop hiding. I’ve already seen you."

Jiang Jing took a deep breath, removed his mask, and slowly turned around.

The two of them stared at each other, speechless, and the atmosphere grew heavy.

Shi Zhile stepped aside to give them some space. "I’ll go look around. You two talk."

She didn’t dare to go too far, just making a small loop nearby.

「Half an hour later.」

Shi Zhile received a voice call from Wang Peng.

Wang Peng’s voice was frantic. "Zhile, get back here, quick! They’re fighting!"

Shi Zhile immediately rushed back.

When she arrived, Jiang Jing and Chuyi were tangled in a brawl. Jiang Yu and Wang Peng were trying to pull them apart, all four of them a struggling, inseparable mass.

Shi Zhile was incredibly strong. She grabbed a fistful of each man’s hair and brutally yanked them apart.

Once there was some distance between them, Jiang Yu and Wang Peng immediately grabbed hold of Chuyi, while Shi Zhile held back Jiang Jing.

Jiang Jing struggled fiercely, but for a moment, he couldn’t break her grip.

Jiang Jing: "..."

Shi Zhile slapped him on the arm. The stinging pain made his arm go numb, and he instantly stopped struggling.

"Fighting like this isn’t going to kill anyone. If you’re going to fight, why not use knives and guns? You, shoot him. And you, hack him up with a knife. Jiang Yu can bury whoever dies first."

Chuyi struggled. "This is between him and me! It has nothing to do with you!"

"Jiang Jing is my teammate. You hit him, you have a problem with me."

Shi Zhile took out her small Water Gun and went "PEW!" at a patch of grass to the side.

Unlike the thin stream of water she had imagined, a blast of immense pressure shot out, obliterating the patch of grass completely.
