Chapter 125: Chapter 125: Don’t Take Others for Fools

Prince Fuling, Long Haiqin, had been completely unperturbed. He felt that Chu Fan was simply courting death, actually daring to fight one against four.

In the Central Domain, in Capital City Jianye, whenever anyone saw the four brothers of the Gu Family attack together, they would run as fast and as far as they possibly could.

But the moment Chu Fan made his move, he was instantly left dumbfounded with shock.

What kind of Sword Technique was that?

’What the hell, is he summoning a Divine Dragon?’

With a single swing of his sword, he could form such a large and distinct Dragon Shadow.

Although the Dragon Shadow was just a shadow, it was condensed from Sword Qi, Sword Gang, and Sword Momentum. What looked like a charging Dragon Shadow was in reality Sword Qi striking their bodies.

The four brothers of the Gu Family now had at least dozens, if not hundreds, of sword cuts all over their bodies.

One could only imagine how fast Chu Fan’s Sword was.

The expressions on the others’ faces as they watched Chu Fan weren’t much different from Long Haiqin’s.

’Is he really a barbarian?’

’What in the world is his Realm?’

Even Yao Zhi was deeply shocked. ’My intuition wasn’t wrong. He really is something else.’

Chu Fan sheathed his Sword, his gaze sweeping over the area before landing on Long Haixin.

"Remember this. People aren’t inherently noble or base. You people from the Central Domain are no more intelligent or enlightened than us from the Eastern Domain. In the eyes of others, you are a lofty Commandery Prince, an imperial scion of the Hua Xu Empire. But in my eyes, you are nothing. Besides being born into the Royal Family, what else do you have? You must be almost forty, right? How many of my sword strikes do you think you can take?"

Long Haiqin wanted to retort, but when he recalled that last sword strike, he couldn’t help but ask himself, ’Could I really have taken that blow?’

Human instinct is to seek advantage and avoid harm, and Long Haiqin was no exception.

To charge forward recklessly when you know you’re no match for your opponent is simply courting death.

However, in front of so many young prodigies from the Central Domain, he couldn’t appear too cowardly.

"You will never understand how powerful the Long Family of the Hua Xu Empire truly is. You are nothing but a shortsighted fool. You may have some skill here in this Secret Realm today, but you must understand that because of the Array’s restrictions, no one who can enter this place has a particularly high Cultivation."

"Heh!" Chu Fan sneered. "Forget it. You’re a Commandery Prince, after all. I just don’t care for your attitude. If you hadn’t been so aggressive, I wouldn’t have acted this way. This Secret Realm is vast. Let’s each seek our own fortunes. I don’t want any of you to bother me again."

This was also Chu Fan’s true line of thinking. The Cultivation Realm of the Central Domain was indeed far stronger than that of the Eastern Domain; that was beyond doubt.

Although he didn’t have a favorable impression of most of the Six Sects and Eight Gates of the Eastern Domain, the common people of the Eastern Domain were innocent.

If he truly angered this Prince Fuling, there was no guarantee the man wouldn’t do something against the Eastern Domain once he got out.

As for killing him? That was even more out of the question. Unless he killed everyone present, the entire Eastern Domain would face the Hua Xu Empire’s insane retribution.

’But what would be the reason? To kill so many people over a few harsh words?’

He wasn’t that bloodthirsty.

Long Haiqin was quick to react. He also knew that Chu Fan’s words were an off-ramp for both of them, a way to save face. So, with a flick of his sleeve, he postured and said angrily to Chu Fan, "I hope you remember your words. Let’s hope we can leave each other in peace. Don’t try any tricks behind my back. Otherwise, when I return to the Central Domain, I will most certainly trample every Cultivation Sect in the Eastern Domain."

"Good. A promise is a promise." Chu Fan nodded, then turned his gaze to Shen Yidu. "Shen Yidu, is it? Sowing discord, pushing things along, killing with a borrowed knife... you’re quite skilled at these little schemes, aren’t you? Remember, don’t treat everyone in the world like a fool and think you’re smarter than everyone else."

Shen Yidu felt a chill run down his spine from Chu Fan’s glare. He shrank back, lowered his head, and said no more.

"Yao Zhi, Saint Heir of the Heaven-Facing Sect." At Chu Fan’s call, Yao Zhi looked up at him, somewhat confused.

"You may all believe you saved me, but in reality, you interrupted my comprehension of Sword Intent. Therefore, I, Chu Fan, do not owe you any favors. However, to be fair, you did waste a Soul Cleansing Pill, and I won’t take it for nothing." After speaking, Chu Fan took a Celestial Grade Lower Class Treasure Sword from his Storage Ring and tossed it to Yao Zhi.

"This sword should be worth more than enough to cover the cost of that Elixir. As of now, we owe each other nothing."

Yao Zhi caught the sword and immediately understood Chu Fan’s intention.

Chu Fan was not from the Central Domain, so it didn’t matter how much he offended Long Haixin. But Yao Zhi was different. He was the Saint Heir of the Heaven-Facing Sect. If he were targeted by Long Haixin because of this, he might not die, but there would certainly be no shortage of trouble.

Yao Zhi understood this clearly, but others, such as Bian Wanru, did not.

She immediately blurted out a curse at Chu Fan: "You ungrateful bastard!"

Yao Zhi was startled when he heard this and quickly scolded her, "Wanru, that’s enough! We were never on the same side as him to begin with. Why make such a fuss?"

Seeing Yao Zhi’s reaction, Chu Fan knew the man had understood his meaning.

With that, he leaped into the air and flew off, speeding away toward a corner of the ruins.

"Commandery Prince, that kid is too brazen. Once we return to the Central Domain, we must not let him off." Seeing that Chu Fan was gone, Shen Yidu approached Long Haixin and said in a low voice.

Long Haixin glanced sideways at Shen Yidu and curled his lip. "Shen Yidu, you’ve got some nerve, trying to use me now. Are you implying that I’m dumber than you?"

Upon hearing this, Shen Yidu dropped to his knees with a THUD and hurriedly explained, "Commandery Prince, you misunderstand! Please don’t listen to that lout’s nonsense! This humble one only felt that for a mere Eastern Barbarian to offend the Commandery Prince, wouldn’t that cause you to lose face?"

"Enough!" Long Haixin roared.

"I used to think you were a man of talent. Now I see what a ’talent’ you truly are. Scram. From now on, don’t ever appear within a thousand feet of me, or you’ll regret it. Scram!"

The single word "Scram!" exploded in Shen Yidu’s ears like a clap of thunder.

Fearing Long Haixin’s Cultivation and status, he kept his head bowed. From an angle no one else could see, he gritted his teeth, stood up, and retreated.

At this moment, Ding Xun also walked over and said to Long Haixin, "I could tell long ago that kid Shen Yidu was no good. The Commandery Prince’s judgment is as sharp as ever."

Hearing their conversation, Yao Zhi secretly shook his head. He also walked over, cupped his fists toward Long Haixin, and said, "Commandery Prince, my Sect has given me limited time in this Secret Realm, so I will not delay here any longer. I take my leave of you, Commandery Prince."

"Fine. Go on your way," Long Haixin said with a wave of his hand.

As soon as Yao Zhi left, Bian Wanru and the other five quickly followed him.

Bian Wanru was still indignant. "Yao Zhi, that guy really is ungrateful! Why did you stop me from saying so?"

Yao Zhi sighed. "You... and the rest of you. I tell you all to read more, but you just won’t listen. Can’t you even read between the lines?"

The others were all confused, not understanding what Yao Zhi meant.

"Forget it. Let’s hurry and check out the other areas," Yao Zhi said.

Just then, Chu Fan, who had flown far away, suddenly turned back. He shot directly over their heads and landed before Long Haiqin and his group.

"I got so caught up in arguing with you all that I forgot about this thing," Chu Fan said. He walked directly to the Cultivation Platform and reached for the shining ball of light.

In the previous argument, it wasn’t just him; everyone else had forgotten about the item as well.

Chu Fan had been focused on intimidating the crowd and avoiding trouble for Yao Zhi’s group, while everyone else had simply been stunned by his Sword Techniques.

Now, seeing Chu Fan going to take the ball of light, Long Haixin shouted, "Stop!"
