Chapter 332: Earth-Shattering Chaos in the Northern Domain

  • Next Chapter

This Mo Chensun was, of course, Chu Fan in disguise.

After leaving the Eastern Domain, Chu Fan traveled at top speed. Along the way, he encountered many defeated Northern Domain Soldiers and Cultivators fleeing north.

He killed quite a few of them on his journey and forced the location of the South Garden Royal Court from others.

After a full day and night of travel, he reached the Royal Court. He first disguised himself as a heavily injured Void Realm Cultivator from the Northern Domain and slipped into the Royal City.

That night, he moved among the yurts, searching until he found one belonging to an official.

This official was none other than Mo Chensun. Just by looking at the man’s features, Chu Fan could tell he was from the Central Domain. Chu Fan despised this kind of traitor who sold out his own people for personal gain.

He used certain methods to forcibly extract information from Mo Chensun.

However, when asked who had informed Goyerno that it was Chu Fan who killed his brother, Mo Qianzhi’s answer was that the information came from a merchant caravan from the Eastern Domain. He claimed not to know the caravan’s origins.

And so, that led to Chu Fan disguising himself as Mo Chensun to attend today’s gathering.

Listening to these men arrogantly discussing the Eastern Domain, Chu Fan nearly lost his composure and attacked on several occasions. But he held back, determined to uncover the true mastermind behind it all.

Inside the main yurt, Goyerno was at the Divine Separation Realm, while the others were only at the Soul Emergence Realm. However, in two adjacent yurts, there were several Void Realm Guards.

Now that he knew the mastermind was Long Haixin, Chu Fan had no intention of playing along with them any longer.

Chu Fan’s only lingering question was, ‘I clearly killed Long Haixin. How is he still alive?’

“Mo Qianzhi, what is the meaning of this?” Goyerno stood up, his gaze sharp as a blade as he stared at the disguised Chu Fan, rebuking him loudly.

A malevolent smile played on Chu Fan’s lips. “Great Khan, can you not see? All the Void Realm experts you sent to the Eastern Domain are dead. Their heads have been delivered right back to you. Including the young prince, Dahar.”

“When did this happen? Why didn’t you report to me immediately?” Goyerno practically roared.

The other men now glared at Chu Fan with hostile eyes.

Chu Fan ignored their glares. Looking at Goyerno, he asked, “Great Khan, have you ever heard a certain saying?”

“Mo Qianzhi, spit it out!”

“Those who kill must be prepared to be killed. You raised an army of four hundred thousand to conquer the Great Xia. Therefore, you should have been prepared for that army to be annihilated, and you should be prepared to offer your own neck to the blade.”

“Insolence!” Goyerno slammed his palm on the table, roaring in uncontrollable rage.

“What I said is the truth. Goyerno, you were used by Prince Fuling. Not just used—you walked right into a trap he meticulously designed for you. When you die and walk the Yellow Springs Road, at least know who your true enemy is.”

The moment Chu Fan finished speaking, a white light flashed. Goyerno, who had been about to shout a curse, had his head severed before he could utter a sound.

After killing Goyerno, Chu Fan didn’t hesitate for a second. Amid the screams of the women in the yurt, he swiftly cut down the other six men.

Hearing the commotion, the four Void Realm experts from the neighboring yurt rushed over, arriving just in time to witness Chu Fan kill the last man.

“Mo Qianzhi, what is happening here?” one of the Void Realm experts demanded.

“Can’t you see what’s happening? I’ve killed Goyerno. Do you have a problem with that?” Chu Fan said with a malevolent smirk.

“You…”

The Void Realm Cultivator probably never expected Chu Fan to be so blunt; for a moment, he was too stunned to react.

But Chu Fan had already moved again.

The Sword of Time was irresistibly sharp and as swift as lightning.

Before the four Void Realm experts could even react, two had their Dantians pierced and shattered.

One of them managed to draw his sword and lunge at Chu Fan, but Chu Fan dodged the attack with ease.

“Assassin!”

The other Void Realm expert yelled out as he came to his senses.

A commotion erupted outside.

As he continued his assault, Chu Fan formed a hand seal, activating the Inner Binding Seal. His body instantly vanished.

Though the remaining two Void Realm experts desperately defended themselves in terror, they ultimately fell to Chu Fan’s sword.

Without pausing, Chu Fan weaved through the Guards who were rushing toward the commotion.

He made his way to the yurts where the merchant caravan was lodged.

At the entrance to their yurt, he dropped his invisibility, transformed into the likeness of Goyerno, and walked inside.

“Great Khan!”

The caravan leader bowed to Chu Fan.

“I have some questions for you. I just received word that your Prince Fuling died in the Miracle Secret Realm seven years ago. Yet you told me you were sent by him. Are you trying to deceive me?”

“Great Khan, before we came here, we saw the Prince in Beining County with our own eyes. His Highness is alive and well. How could he possibly be dead?” the leader explained hastily.

Chu Fan’s brows knitted together. “Oh? So he really is alive? Since you all insisted on provoking the Northern Domain into invading the Great Xia, then you are the chief culprits. And for that, you all deserve to die!”

The dozen or so people in the yurt were utterly stunned. Before they could react, they felt a chill on their necks. A spray of blood heralded their deaths.

Chu Fan sheathed his Juntian Sword and walked out of the yurt as casually as if he were taking a stroll, heading toward the outskirts of the Royal City.

News of what had happened in the main yurt had not yet spread throughout the Royal City. As Chu Fan walked, not only did no one try to stop him, but the people he passed even hurried to bow to him.

After receiving countless bows and prostrations, he walked out of the Royal City and soared into the sky.

His next destination was Han City, the capital of the Dahar Khan Kingdom.

His plan was simple: kill the new Khan. The Dahar Khan Kingdom would undoubtedly descend into a civil war of succession. He would then find opportunities to assassinate the leaders of several major clans, plunging the entire Northern Domain into absolute chaos.

This would buy the Eastern Domain at least three to five years.

Meanwhile, in Beining County, Prince Fuling, Long Haixin, received a report.

He stared at the letter in his hand, his expression frozen for a long moment.

He read the letter over and over again in disbelief.

“‘The Northern Domain Army… defeated?’ Long Haixin muttered to himself. ‘Twelve Void Realm experts, all those Cultivators, and the four-hundred-thousand-strong Wolf Army… completely annihilated?'”

In another corner of Beining County, the Carefree Monarch, Long Jingyao, also received a report from one of his subordinates.

Long Jingyao was equally dumbfounded, his eyes filled with utter disbelief.

‘When did the Northern Domain’s Wolf Army get so weak? Or has the Eastern Domain become so powerful that even my intelligence network was caught completely off guard?’

“Which group is responsible for intelligence on the Eastern Domain’s Northern Territory?” Long Jingyao asked the messenger.

“That would be Vermilion Bird Ding Group, sir. The one in charge is Hong Guisan.”

“I want the most detailed report possible, including every detail of the battles at the four border cities.”

“I will relay the order at once, my lord.”

“Wait,” Long Jingyao said, raising a hand.

“My Lord, what are your orders?”

“Has Long Haixin received news of the Northern Domain’s defeat?”

“Just a moment ago, someone rushed into his residence. We believe they were delivering the report from the Eastern Domain.”

“Assign people to watch Long Haixin’s every move. From this moment on, I want to know who he meets, what he says—every last detail.”

“As you command!”

After the man left, Long Jingyao sank back into his reclining chair. He rocked it gently a few times, his gaze fixed on the white clouds drifting across the sky.

He murmured to himself, “‘I considered the possibility that the Northern Domain would return empty-handed, but I never imagined their Wolf Army would suffer such a massive defeat in the Eastern Domain. It seems I need to re-evaluate the Eastern Domain’s Combat Power.'”
