Chapter 367: Chapter 367: Cloud Flower Awakens Its Bloodline

"Gui Fan—!" the already injured Hui Ke cried out, seeing the scene unfold.

But with Jingyun standing right in front of him, he was completely unable to fly up and block the Golden Light Long Arrows hurtling toward Gui Fan.

Each Golden Light Long Arrow that pierced Gui Fan’s body detonated with a thunderous boom, sending sprays of blood bursting into the air.

Everyone stared blankly at the scene.

’Could this be a heavenly punishment? Or has Gui Fan triggered some taboo within this ancient city?’

Gui Fan was suspended in the sky by some unseen force, his body completely paralyzed. Yet he remained conscious, forced to experience the soul-shaking agony as each Golden Light Long Arrow pierced him.

The golden light didn’t stop after entering his body; instead, it began to surge through his meridians.

There were three hundred and sixty Golden Light Long Arrows in total.

The entire ordeal lasted for more than half an hour.

But even after the last arrow had struck, the oppressive pressure did not dissipate.

The scene grew quiet, but everyone’s eyes remained fixed on Gui Fan.

His clothes, already tattered and scorched by lightning, had been shredded by the golden light until only a few strands of silk remained clinging to his body.

His wound-riddled body was laid bare for all to see.

However, just as everyone thought the ordeal was finally over...

Gui Fan’s body began to undergo a world-altering transformation.

Streaks of golden light connected across the surface of his body, forming a web-like pattern.

Even Gui Fan’s eyes now shot out two beams of golden light.

Before the astonished eyes of the crowd, Gui Fan’s body began to swell continuously.

No, to be more precise, his body was growing larger.

His initial height of over eight feet began to surge. Ten feet, fifteen feet, twenty feet, twenty-five, thirty, thirty-five... all the way to sixty-two feet before he finally stopped growing.

If the Giant hadn’t still possessed Gui Fan’s features, everyone would have thought his body had been stolen.

"RAAAH—"

The transformed Gui Fan landed on the ground and let out a heaven-shaking roar.

His roar echoed across the Three Mountains and Five Peaks. The sonic boom was so powerful that everyone in the city began to bleed from their eyes, ears, nose, and mouth.

Even Jingyun couldn’t help but clap his hands over his ears.

"Wh-what is happening?" Ba Manzi stared in shock at the Giant standing on the ground.

After the long roar, Gui Fan regained control of his body. He stared at his own hands, evidently just as stunned as everyone else.

He then clenched and unclenched his fists several times.

’Power!’

’My body contains a power that would drive anyone mad with desire.’

Gui Fan was overcome with joy.

He turned, his gaze falling sharply upon Jingyun.

"BOOM, BOOM, BOOM..."

He strode toward the rooftop where Jingyun and Hui Ke stood. With every step, the very earth trembled.

Once he was close, he threw a punch straight at Jingyun.

Startled by the sudden attack, Jingyun hastily leaped into the air.

The only reason this ruthless Evil Monk had survived so long was due to his absolute cunning.

When faced with an unknown threat, he was faster to flee than anyone.

However, Gui Fan’s fist was wreathed in boundless Dark Energy. As Jingyun tried to flee, he felt as if he were trapped in thick mud.

"BOOM!"

The punch landed squarely on Jingyun’s chest.

"SPURT—"

Spewing a mouthful of blood, Jingyun was sent flying backward like a kite with a snapped string.

As he was now, a single one of Gui Fan’s fists was half the size of Jingyun’s entire body.

Faced with such a colossal fist and immense power, even a Mahayana Realm expert like him could not withstand the blow.

Gui Fan took a few quick running steps and snatched the airborne Jingyun out of the sky. He crouched down, pinning Jingyun’s chest with one finger, and began to pummel his head again and again with his other fist.

He didn’t stop until Jingyun was nothing but a pile of gore.

Blood and flesh covered the ground.

After killing Jingyun, he turned his gaze toward Qiu Changkong and the other four.

"Die!"

Gui Fan bellowed and brought his foot crashing down upon them.

All five of them were scared stiff, too terrified to even think of fleeing.

Perhaps because not even Jingyun had managed to escape, they had abandoned all hope of resistance and resigned themselves to death.

With a single stomp, he crushed the five Integration Realm masters into a pulp.

After killing them, as if he had expended his last ounce of Qi Power, he collapsed to the ground with a thunderous crash and fell unconscious.

As he lay unconscious, his body began to shrink, returning to its original size in less than ten breaths’ time.

Hui Ke stood on the rooftop, watching with a dumbfounded expression.

Everything that had just occurred was beyond Hui Ke’s comprehension. Even with the awakened memories of his past life, he had never seen or heard of such a thing.

He wracked his brain, but he still couldn’t explain what had just happened to Gui Fan.

Seeing Gui Fan return to his normal size and fall unconscious, Hui Ke dragged his heavily injured body down from the roof.

He propped Gui Fan up.

"Thank goodness, he’s just unconscious from exhaustion!" Hui Ke murmured.

He couldn’t resist examining Gui Fan’s body.

Gui Fan was completely naked. Even if his clothes hadn’t been destroyed by the lightning and Golden Light Long Arrows, growing to over sixty feet tall would have ripped any garment to shreds.

Because he was naked, any changes to the surface of his body were perfectly clear.

But now, there wasn’t a single scar on Gui Fan’s body. Even the sword wound on his chest, caused by his own deflected Sword Qi, had vanished.

In fact, his skin looked even smoother and more delicate than a newborn’s.

’Could Gui Fan be a descendant of the Witch Barbarian Race? Did he awaken his bloodline in this ancient city?’ Hui Ke wondered.

’The blood... the Golden Light Net... the Golden Light Long Arrows.’

The more Hui Ke thought about it, the more plausible it seemed.

One hour later, Gui Fan finally awoke from his unconscious state. Even so, he still didn’t have an ounce of Qi Power.

"What on earth happened just now?"

"The Cloud Flower," Gui Fan said weakly.

Of course, Hui Ke remembered how Gui Fan’s body had changed for the first time in the Hua Xu Secret Realm, right after he drank the Cloud Flower’s sap.

He had grown taller, and even his facial features had altered.

’But even if the Cloud Flower was involved, what does that have to do with him turning into a Giant?’

"It was an inheritance Array left behind in this city. Since I had consumed the Cloud Flower’s sap, my blood triggered the Array’s mechanism. You could say I’m half-Witch Barbarian now," Gui Fan said with a self-deprecating laugh.

’Perhaps this was all fate. Because of the Cloud Flower, I lost everything I once possessed. And today, also because of the Cloud Flower, both Hui Ke and I were saved from certain death.’

"Get me out of here. Find a quiet place. I need to sort through these new memories."

"New memories?"

"Memories about the Cultivation Method of the Witch Barbarian Race, and also a passage regarding the reason this city fell. There’s just too much information; I need time to slowly sort it all out."

Hui Ke was deeply shaken.

When they first entered the city, he had just been telling Gui Fan about the Witch Barbarian Race. Who could have imagined that in just a single hour, Gui Fan would practically become one of them?

And he had even obtained their cultivation inheritance.

’The Witch Barbarians are truly incredible. A Mahayana Realm expert couldn’t even withstand a single one of his moves.’

’And that recovery speed... it’s truly enviable!’

Leaning on his Profound Iron Staff, Hui Ke hoisted Gui Fan onto his back and slowly began to walk toward the city gates.

But in his shock, Hui Ke had forgotten one crucial fact: Jingyun was a master of the Mahayana Realm.

Even if his physical body was smashed to a pulp, as long as his Primordial Spirit remained intact, he would not die.

More than an hour after the two had left, the puddle of bloody pulp on the ground slowly began to coalesce, eventually reforming into a complete human figure.

But this newly formed Jingyun had a deathly pale face and looked incredibly weak.

"If I don’t get revenge for this, then my centuries of life have been a waste!" Staring toward the city gates, Jingyun snarled through gritted teeth.
