Chapter 29: The Price of Victory

The entire battlefield trembled.

Juyew stood at the center of his Void Dominion.

Dark energy surrounded him.

Kil Ful held his sword tightly.

The White Aura around his body had almost disappeared.

Rony’s Black Force was also fading.

Maddy looked at them.

"Are you two still able to fight?"

Kil Ful nodded.

"For one more attack."

Rony smiled.

"Same here."

Juyew raised his hand.

"Then give me everything you have."

Dark energy rushed toward them.

Kil Ful stepped forward.

His remaining White Aura gathered around his sword.

Rony activated the last of his Black Force.

"BLACK FORCE!"

The black aura covered his hammer for the final time.

Maddy and Lira moved behind them.

"We’ll support you."

Kil Ful looked at Rony.

"Ready?"

Rony nodded.

"Let’s finish this."

They charged.

Juyew released a massive wave of Void energy.

Kil Ful swung his sword.

"WHITE AURA SLASH!"

Rony struck the ground with his hammer.

"BLACK FORCE IMPACT!"

White and black energy collided with Juyew’s Void energy.

For a moment—

The three powers pushed against each other.

The Void Dominion began shaking violently.

Cracks appeared across the dark space.

Juyew’s eyes widened.

"You..."

Kil Ful gritted his teeth.

"Everyone! Now!"

Maddy rushed forward.

"Invisible Attack!"

Lira raised both hands.

"Earth Bind!"

Mud and invisible attacks struck Juyew at the same time.

Juyew blocked them.

But the distraction gave Kil Ful and Rony an opening.

They attacked together.

"NOW!"

Their attacks struck the center of the Void Dominion.

CRACK!

A massive crack spread through the dark space.

Then another.

And another.

The entire Void Dominion began collapsing.

Juyew looked around.

"My domain..."

Kil Ful pushed himself forward.

"One more!"

Rony raised his hammer.

"One more!"

They attacked together.

The White Aura around Kil Ful disappeared completely.

At the same moment, Rony’s Black Force vanished.

Both of them were exhausted.

But their final attack broke the core of the domain.

The Void Dominion shattered.

The dark sky disappeared.

The forest returned to normal.

Kil Ful fell to one knee.

Rony dropped his hammer and sat on the ground.

Maddy and Lira were also exhausted.

Juyew stood silently.

He looked at the four of them.

Then he smiled.

"You gave a good battle."

Kil Ful looked up.

Juyew continued.

"You managed to break my Void Dominion."

Rony looked at him.

"Then... are we done?"

Juyew didn’t answer immediately.

He looked toward the abandoned village.

"You wanted to know what happened to the missing Knights."

Everyone became silent.

Juyew finally spoke.

"I killed them."

Maddy’s expression changed.

Lira clenched her fists.

"You..."

Juyew raised his hand.

"Don’t misunderstand. I am not asking for forgiveness."

Kil Ful slowly stood.

"Why did you kill them?"

Juyew looked at him.

"That is something you will have to discover yourselves."

He turned away.

"You have already come far enough."

Rony looked confused.

"Then why are you letting us live?"

Juyew stopped.

"Because you gave me a good fight."

He looked back at them.

"If I wanted to kill you all, I could have done it."

Everyone remained silent.

Juyew continued.

"So consider this a gift."

Kil Ful tightened his grip on his sword.

Juyew began walking away.

"I am giving you your lives."

Maddy watched him disappear between the trees.

Lira whispered.

"He could have killed us..."

Rony looked at his empty hands.

"And he just let us go."

Kil Ful stared in the direction Juyew had disappeared.

"There is something strange about him."

Rony looked at him.

"What do you mean?"

Kil Ful shook his head.

"I don’t know yet."

The four of them stood silently in the forest.

Their mission had changed.

The Knights were dead.

Juyew was gone.

But now they had an even bigger question.

Why had Juyew killed the Knights?

And what was he hiding?

Kil Ful looked toward the abandoned village.

"We’re going there."

Maddy nodded.

Lira prepared herself.

Rony picked up his hammer.

Their investigation was far from over.
