Chapter 34: The Mysterious Man

The next morning arrived.

Before the sun had fully risen, the team gathered outside Aurelia Kingdom.

Everyone was ready.

Kil Ful carried his sword while Morry, Ravian, Rony, Maddy, and Lira stood beside him.

Kael looked at everyone.

"Today, we return to the abandoned village."

Everyone nodded.

Their goal was simple.

Find out what happened to the missing Knights and confront Juyew if he appeared again.

The group began their journey.

Several hours later, they finally reached the abandoned village.

The village looked exactly the same.

Broken houses stood silently along the empty streets.

There was no sign of life anywhere.

Kael raised his hand.

"Spread out and search carefully."

Everyone moved.

Kil Ful and Morry searched the damaged houses.

Ravian checked the surrounding area.

Maddy moved across the rooftops.

Rony searched the larger buildings.

Lira inspected the ground and the area around the village.

Kael watched everything carefully.

After a long search, everyone returned.

Morry shook his head.

"Nothing."

Ravian also shook his head.

"I couldn’t find anything either."

Kil Ful looked around.

"Then where did all those Knights disappear?"

Nobody had an answer.

Suddenly, Kael’s expression changed.

He felt a familiar pressure.

"Everyone, hide."

Kil Ful immediately understood.

"Juyew?"

Kael nodded.

"Take different positions."

Everyone quickly moved.

Kil Ful hid behind a damaged building.

Morry moved to another side of the village.

Ravian climbed onto a rooftop.

Maddy disappeared into the shadows.

Rony and Lira also took their positions.

Kael remained alone in the center of the village.

He waited.

A few moments later, footsteps could be heard.

Juyew entered the abandoned village.

His black clothes moved slightly with the wind.

He slowly looked around.

Then he noticed Kael standing in the middle of the village.

Juyew stopped.

He looked at Kael for a moment.

"Who are you?"

Kael remained calm.

"My name is Kael."

Juyew narrowed his eyes.

"Kael?"

Kael nodded.

"I came here because of you."

Juyew smiled slightly.

"So you came looking for me."

Kael didn’t answer.

Suddenly, someone appeared behind Juyew.

A second man dressed in black.

His face was covered, making his identity impossible to recognize.

He looked at Kael silently.

Then he turned toward Juyew.

"Master."

Juyew glanced at him.

The mysterious man stepped forward.

"I’ll deal with him."

Kael looked at the man carefully.

He could feel his power.

Strong.

But still clearly below Juyew.

Juyew stepped aside without saying anything.

Kael took his fighting stance.

The mysterious man stood in front of him.

Hidden around the village, Kil Ful and the others watched carefully.

Kil Ful tightened his grip on his sword.

Morry whispered,

"Something is about to happen."

Ravian nodded.

Maddy remained completely focused.

Rony gripped his hammer.

Lira prepared her power.

Kael looked directly at the mysterious man.

"Come."

The man slowly raised his hand.

The atmosphere around the abandoned village suddenly became tense.

Juyew stood behind him and watched silently.

The battle was about to begin.
