That evening Rylan texted him a single line.

Come over when you’re done.

Cade saw the message when he was about leaving the set. He kinda knew why he wanted him over. Whatever sparks were flying while he and Jasper were reading their lines were not exactly subtle enough.

Cade arrived just after nine, ready for another round of punishment. No, scratch that. He arrived, hoping for another round of punishment.

The apartment was quieter than usual. Only one lamp was on.

Rylan opened the door and stood aside without speaking. The second the door closed he reached for Cade, but the touch was different. It was slow and gentler.

His hands framed Cade’s face first, thumbs brushing under his eyes, before he kissed him.

The kiss stayed soft for a long time. No urgency. Just mouth against mouth, careful and deep.

Cade’s hands settled on Rylan’s waist. He could feel the steady rise and fall of Rylan’s breathing. His own heart started to race for a different reason than the usual sharp heat.

When Rylan finally pulled back, his eyes searched Cade’s face like he was looking for something he hadn’t named yet.

"You looked at him too long today," Rylan said. His voice was low, but the edge from the night before was gone.

Cade’s throat worked. "We were running the scene."

"I know." Rylan’s thumb traced the edge of Cade’s lower lip. "That’s the problem."

He guided Cade to the couch and sat close. One arm settled along the back of the cushions. The other hand rested on Cade’s thigh, warm and still.

For a while they just sat there. Rylan’s fingers moved in slow, absent strokes along the seam of Cade’s jeans. The touch was gentle. Almost thoughtful.

Cade watched the side of Rylan’s face. The usual control was still there, but something underneath it felt different.

"I watched the playback," Rylan said eventually. "The way he looks at you. The way you look back. It’s not just good acting."

Cade’s stomach tightened. "It’s the characters."

Rylan’s hand stilled. "Maybe. Or maybe it’s more than that."

He turned his head and met Cade’s eyes. For a second the possessive heat was still there.

Then something else flickered across his face - something closer to uncertainty. It disappeared almost as soon as it showed.

Rylan leaned in and kissed him again. Softer this time. His hand slid higher on Cade’s thigh, but he didn’t push further.

He just kept kissing him, slow and thorough, until Cade’s breathing turned shallow and his body started to respond.

When Rylan finally pulled back, his voice was quieter than Cade had ever heard it.

"I don’t like sharing you. I thought it was only because you’re mine. But..." He paused. His fingers flexed once against Cade’s leg. "Now I’m not sure that’s the only reason."

Cade’s pulse jumped hard. He stayed still and waited.

Rylan didn’t explain further. He just pulled Cade closer until Cade’s head rested against his shoulder.

One hand moved slowly up and down Cade’s back. The touch stayed careful. Almost protective.

Cade’s head stayed against Rylan’s shoulder.

The silence that followed was different from every silence that had come before it.

The apartment was quiet. Only the low city noise came through the windows.

Then Rylan broke the silence.

"Do you like him?" hisvoice came out low.

Cade’s breath caught. He didn’t pretend he didn’t understand.

"Jasper?"

"Yes."

Silence stretched for a few seconds. Cade could feel his own pulse against Rylan’s side.

"Yes? I think," he answered. "I feel something for him. Could be just lust, but something."

Rylan’s hand stopped moving. He didn’t pull away. He just went still.

Cade waited. He could hear the slow, controlled way Rylan was breathing.

Rylan spoke again, quieter than before.

"I knew. I watched the two of you today. The way he looks at you and the way he looked at you too while you were both running your lines. It’s not just the script. It felt real."

Cade stayed quiet. His heart was beating hard now.

Rylan’s fingers started moving again, slower this time, tracing the line of Cade’s spine through his shirt.

"I know that this between me and you might have started as trade by barter." His voice stayed even, but something underneath it sounded heavier. "It’s more than that now. I’m falling for you. Hard. And the fact that you feel something for him makes me want to lock you down even tighter."

Cade lifted his head. Their eyes met. Rylan’s gaze was dark and steady. No explosion. Just intensity that sat deep in his chest.

Rylan’s hand slid up and cupped the side of Cade’s neck, thumb resting over his pulse.

"I’m not going to lose you to him. And I’m not going to pretend the chemistry isn’t there. So we’re going to do this my way."

Cade’s mouth went dry. "What way?"

"You’re going to bring him in." Rylan’s voice dropped lower. "Not as competition. As part of what we already have. You belong to me. If he wants you, he belongs to me too. Under my rules. Under my control."

Heat flooded Cade’s stomach. His cock stirred against his thigh.

He had wanted the both of them and had always thought he would have to choose one over another, but this arrangement meant that he can have them both.

Rylan kept talking.

"I’m the one who decides. I’m the top who owns both of you. Jasper will be a top only when I allow it, and only the way I tell him to be. Submissive to me. You stay the bottom. Mine first. Shared only when I say so. Whatever happens between you two will be with my permission."

Cade’s breath had gone shallow. His body was already reacting - pulse loud in his ears, skin sensitive under Rylan’s hand, and his cock hardening fully now.

Rylan noticed. His eyes dropped to the growing bulge in Cade’s pants, then returned to his face.

"You’re hard just from hearing it."

"Yes," Cade admitted.

Rylan’s free hand moved down and pressed firmly over the hard length through the fabric. He didn’t stroke yet. He just held the pressure there, feeling Cade twitch against his palm.

"Good. Because this is how it will work. You’ll talk to him. You’ll tell him the truth - that you feel something for him, and that the only way he gets any of you is through me.

If he wants in, he comes here. He kneels. He accepts the rules. No half measures. No soft edges once we start."

Cade’s hips shifted once under the steady pressure of Rylan’s hand. A soft sound left his throat.

Rylan leaned in and spoke against his mouth.

"Say it back to me. Who do you belong to?"

"You."

"And if Jasper wants you?"

"He belongs to you too."

Rylan kissed him then - deep, slow, and claiming. His hand finally moved, stroking Cade firmly through the pants while the kiss went on.

Cade’s hands gripped Rylan’s shirt. His body arched into the touch.

The slow friction and the weight of the words together made the heat build fast and sharp.

Rylan broke the kiss but kept his hand moving.

"Tomorrow you talk to him. You don’t fuck him. You don’t kiss him off-camera. You tell him the offer and you bring his answer back to me. If he says yes, we start. If he says no, you never touch him again outside the work."

Cade was breathing hard now. "Understood."

Rylan’s hand slipped inside Cade’s pants and wrapped around bare skin. The direct contact made Cade’s head tip back.

Rylan stroked him with the same controlled pace he always used when he wanted Cade to feel every second.

"You’re going to come like this," Rylan said quietly. "Thinking about both of us. About what it will look like when he’s on his knees next to you. About me deciding exactly how he gets to use you."

Cade’s eyes fluttered shut. The image hit hard. His cock throbbed in Rylan’s fist. The slow, firm strokes kept him right on the edge without tipping him over.

Rylan’s voice stayed low against his ear.

"No limits means exactly that. Pain when I want it. Pleasure when I allow it. Both of you open for whatever I choose. You’ll take it. He’ll take it. And you’ll both thank me for it."

Cade’s thighs tensed. A broken sound slipped out. Rylan tightened his grip just enough and finally let him fall.

Cade came hard, spilling over Rylan’s fist and into his own pants, his body shaking against the couch while the words and the touch kept him locked in place.

Rylan worked him through it carefully, then wiped his hand clean on Cade’s shirt without looking away from his face.

"Tomorrow," he said. "Talk to him. Bring me his answer."

Cade’s voice was hoarse. "I will."

Rylan pulled him back against his chest and held him there.

Rylan’s hand rested heavy and warm on the back of Cade’s neck.

"This is only the beginning."
