Chapter 617: Chapter 405: Wedding Dress

Regarding Su Yang’s concerns about funding, Feng Mountain paid them no mind, shaking his head and speaking in a relaxed tone.

"It’s fine. I’m actually optimistic about all these projects. By the way, I’m planning to take a trip to Russia in a little while. I intend to buy another batch of fishing vessels."

’He’s buying another batch of vessels?’

Su Yang and Zhang Kai blurted out almost simultaneously, then looked at each other in dismay.

Although ocean fishing was highly profitable, the upfront investment was enormous, and the risks were extremely high.

Now, hearing that Feng Mountain not only wanted to launch several major projects at once but also planned to purchase another batch of fishing vessels, their minds were in turmoil.

’Is it that easy to make money in Alaska now?’

Zhang Kai muttered to himself, his brow furrowed slightly, his eyes revealing his surprise.

Su Yang also shook his head slightly from the side.

Although he had never been involved in the ocean fishing industry, he knew that fishing vessels weren’t cheap. Ordinary fishing boats could easily cost anywhere from several million to tens of millions, while top-of-the-line vessels were worth over a hundred million.

The two of them had both looked into Feng Mountain’s background.

According to the information they had, Feng Mountain was an orphan who had made a living in his early years by running a small restaurant.

Later, due to some incident, he was imprisoned and sentenced to eight years.

Even the inheritance he received from an elder abroad was just a barren piece of land where birds wouldn’t even shit.

Because of this, as soon as Feng Mountain arrived in Alaska, he had to take out a loan of tens of millions from the bank to develop that barren land.

Nearby, Eldest Young Master Xu, who had been putting on a show of remorse with his head hung low, had actually been listening intently to everyone’s conversation.

When he heard Feng Mountain say he was going to buy boats, he snapped his head up, his face full of astonishment, and couldn’t help but ask loudly,

"What? Brother Feng, you’re buying more fishing vessels? What model? The same as the River Beach?"

Feng Mountain looked calmly at Eldest Young Master Xu and gave a slight nod.

"Mhm, same as the River Beach. The shipyard in Russia has four more, and I plan to buy all of them this time."

"Fack! A single River Beach costs over 20 million US Dollars. Four of them would be nearly a hundred million!" Eldest Young Master Xu was so shocked by this news that his eyes went wide and his jaw dropped, staying open for a long moment.

However, after the shock, a glimmer of anticipation quickly flashed in Eldest Young Master Xu’s eyes. He plastered a fawning smile on his face and said eagerly,

"Brother Feng, is the funding for the boats enough? This little brother has some spare cash on hand. How about you let me invest a share? If there are losses, they’re on me. If there are profits, you can just decide how much to give me."

The moment Eldest Young Master Xu’s request to invest blurted out, the expressions of everyone in the private room changed.

Su Ziweng was still lost in his uncle’s scolding and had no reaction to the words.

Meanwhile, Eldest Young Master Xu’s eyes were shining after he spoke. He leaned forward, his gaze fixed on Feng Mountain, filled with expectation.

Su Yang saw this stark contrast clearly, and his expression instantly darkened.

His own nephew only knew how to indulge in pleasure, his mind never on the right path. He was completely indifferent to something like Feng Mountain buying fishing vessels—an event brimming with business opportunities—and lacked even a shred of an instinct for seizing them.

In contrast, Eldest Young Master Xu, despite his usually playful and cynical demeanor, was able to accurately spot business opportunities at critical moments.

After just a few deals with Feng Mountain, he was convinced that Feng Mountain was a treasure trove of limitless potential. Once an opportunity to cooperate with Feng Mountain arose, he would latch on tightly, never letting any chance for profit slip by.

Su Yang let out a long sigh and shook his head slightly.

His gaze lingered on Su Ziweng for a moment before turning to Eldest Young Master Xu, his heart filled with helplessness and emotion.

From their completely different reactions, he could already foresee their future trajectories.

Su Ziweng would struggle to make any major breakthroughs in his career. However, he was self-aware enough that preserving the existing family business wouldn’t be a problem. But if he wanted to break new ground, it would likely be next to impossible.

The business sense and sharp intuition that Eldest Young Master Xu displayed indicated that he would very likely carve out a vast domain for himself in the business world and achieve great things.

Feng Mountain naturally understood Eldest Young Master Xu’s little scheme. He didn’t hesitate to roll his eyes at him, a playful look in them, and said in a half-joking, half-serious tone,

"Don’t even think about investing. I plan to buy these four vessels outright myself and form my own fishing fleet."

Eldest Young Master Xu stroked his chin, the smile on his face not fading one bit despite the rejection.

In truth, he had expected this outcome before he even opened his mouth.

’After all, Brother Feng’s fishing venture is a surefire moneymaker. If I were him, I wouldn’t just give away the profits to someone else for free either.’

However, Eldest Young Master Xu knew his true goal wasn’t to invest in the fishing fleet.

He immediately let out a sly chuckle, a cunning smile spreading across his face as he abruptly changed the subject.

"Not letting me invest is fine, too. In that case, how about selling all of the fleet’s catch to me in the future? I’ll pay the highest market price plus fifty percent. Brother Feng gets to eat the meat, but you have to let your little brother have some soup, right?"

When Feng Mountain heard Eldest Young Master Xu’s second request, he was momentarily taken aback, a flicker of surprise in his eyes.

But in the next instant, a smile of appreciation spread across his lips.

He picked up the teacup in front of him, wrapped his fingers around it, and raised it toward Eldest Young Master Xu, his eyes full of approval.

"Your younger sister said you’ve never had a proper job and that all you’ve ever wanted was to be a spoiled playboy. I think you’re just pretending to be clueless. A pleasure doing business with you."

A shrewd smile immediately appeared on Eldest Young Master Xu’s face, a cunning light glinting in his eyes.

He hurriedly picked up his wine glass, leaned forward slightly, and adopted a humble posture.

"Not at all, not at all. It’s all thanks to Brother Feng looking out for his little brother."

As they spoke, the two lightly clinked their glasses. The crisp sound echoed in the private room, as if celebrating the tacit understanding they had reached.

"What are you guys talking about?" Su Ziweng craned his head forward, staring eagerly at the two who were chatting so happily, his eyes filled with curiosity.
