Legend of the chosen ones: Beyond Destiny
Chapter 1884 - 969: More
Deathly silence
An unknown source of light illuminated the empty space, with monotonously styled ceramic tiles stretching from the floor to the ceiling, chaotic pools scattered across the ground, walls, and ceiling, defying gravity, crystal clear yet peculiarly free from any ripples.
In this deathly silence, only the distant ticking sound continuously echoed, but upon careful listening, it was impossible to discern direction or presence, like an illusion.
A viscous human figure suddenly appeared out of thin air, plummeting to the ground.
On a body like molten wax, countless convulsing limbs and distorted faces emerged, struggling in all directions, wailing and screaming.
"Kill kill kill!"
"Jerk!"
"Bring more to eat... money... I have money... I can do ten more..."
Numerous complex words eminated with a strange echo, constantly spreading, overlapping, expanding with the changes of the wax liquid body, until eventually contracting again.
It transformed into a middle-aged man with a hollow face, who stiffly raised his hand, rubbed his face, and quickly turned into a sinister and mean demeanor, like an old woman who loves to bicker.
[Mind Body·Scars], installation complete.
"Cancha, get out and face me!"
He, or it, climbed up from the ground, spat indignantly, and angrily shouted at the empty space, until a turbid voice arose.
"Why the 'clamor/nonsense', Beiling?"
As if countless overlapping voices combined, blurred and drifting, various phrases muddled together, inducing dizziness, rendering the speech unintelligible.
With that whispering-like echo, suddenly a dark point emerged from the space, rapidly expanding, spreading, as if countless limbs phantoms overlapped together, faces aged or young rising and falling haphazardly.
Those limbs, hands, feet, and faces expanded like a kaleidoscope, becoming a bizarre sphere.
Pairs of eyes stared fixedly at the Unfinished Evil Demon before them, this entity called Beiling, but the gaze seemed to penetrate his body, falling into the void.
With such eyes watching, anyone would feel chills, as if naked, and past ugly, dark secrets exposed under sunlight.
"How dare you ask me! What on earth are you doing!"
Beiling rebuked, nearly enraged beyond measure: "Delayed this late in coming! Kunwu's years of farm arrangement, all believers, along with one painstakingly formed incarnation, almost all ruined!"
"'Contract/command' has been 'fulfilled/responded'."
Cancha's worm instantly expanded, mixed voice arising again: "'I/we' have no obligation to 'take responsibility/pay the price' for your incompetence."
"Then you damn well do it yourself! Don't come begging me! If not for Holy Fool's assignment, see if I don't damn well leave you hanging!" Beiling's face twisted: "If not for supplying your consumption, why recklessly expose and ruin the originally great situation!"
"What does that have to do with 'us', you are indeed 'incompetent/pathetic'!"
Cancha's voice reemerged: "'Price/reward' has been paid, but your 'goods/offering' are too scarce to 'integrate/consume' at all!
"Motherfucker, can't you speak properly! Put on that translator for me!"
At this moment, Beiling's Mind Body endurance has reached its limit, or rather, his personality has no patience, directly raised his hand and pointed at Cancha, an illusion light unfolding out of nowhere, forcibly unifying the other's consciousness:
"Do you know the origin sect sacrificed countless believers with their lives to fill you greedy short-lived lot? All the believers and offerings of Kunwu Branch have been made into meat stones, completely overdrawn!
All originally great prospects, wasted because of you, even now both Federation and Empire are crazed like orphaned, and if those Star Core Association folks find clues, expect them to pounce like rabid dogs!"
"It doesn't matter!"
Cancha's voice finally cleared, those aged or young yet similarly drifting faces uniformly spoke, ravenous: "Time, time stands on our side!
This is for a common purpose!"
"The contract must be fulfilled, Beiling!"
With the hoarse words, the whole eerie space seems to quickly change, distorting like some cavity, slight folds and ripples arising, echoing endlessly.
"Ordinary goods can only be consumables, I want better, give me more!"
Faces practically raving screamed, commanded, or prayed and negotiated, uttering chaotic words: "Bring! Trade! Offer! Grant!"
Meanwhile, in the distance, in an enormous space made of intertwining corridors, piercing screams constantly arose. Stone sculptures reminiscent of infants were wailing.
These are meat stones crafted from willingly offered lives and Soul of believers.
At this moment, slender tubes stretched in the void wrapping around them, soon making those offerings rapidly blur, becoming semi-transparent, fading away until completely vanished.
As if they never existed.
After this batch of offering's replenishment, the strange space wriggled again, swiftly expanding, growing.
