Chapter 365: Chapter 324: Incomplete Miracle

The Teaching Assistant froze, wondering if the blood loss was making him see things.

’Did I just see a few matchsticks fly past?’

Then, he looked back again.

The wall he’d been leaning against had, at some point, become a fissure in Space. A Teleportation Gate opened, and Lloyd’s upper half emerged from it. He said irritably:

"Why are you all hiding in such a tiny place? I almost couldn’t find you!"

The moment he saw Lloyd, the Teaching Assistant’s face turned even paler.

’He’s still here?’

’He was actually stupid enough to run back and save me?’

"You..."

The Teaching Assistant was about to curse him out, but Lloyd was faster. He grabbed the man’s shoulder and, with a sharp tug, pulled him into the Teleportation Gate.

The other two instructors hadn’t expected this to happen and seemed completely dumbfounded, forgetting to either run or make a sarcastic remark.

In the end, Lloyd reached out with both hands, grabbed both of them by their waistbands, and used a newfound burst of brute strength to drag them into the Teleportation Gate.

With the temporary barrier gone, the things outside were no longer blocked and tried to swarm forward again.

But the Demons at the very front seemed to sense something and stopped dead in their tracks, completely blocking the ones behind them.

They no longer looked at Lloyd with greed as they had before. Instead, they regarded him with an instinctual fear, not daring to approach.

Lloyd just gave a cold smile and tossed out the last few matches in his hand.

"Fuck you!"

As the last of the Madness Value was tallied, his upper body pulled back into the Teleportation Gate, and he let out a long sigh of relief.

He then turned to the three ’Huluwa’ he had just saved, a wry smile on his face as he spread his hands.

"Alright, the problem now is, how are we supposed to get back?"

"This place is..."

Instructor Randy was the first to snap out of it. He immediately looked around and saw that they were in what looked like... half a convenience store?

It was ’half’ in the most literal sense. The floor, shelves, counter, and everything else were all sliced cleanly in two. The other half was a dark fissure in Space, just like the Alternate Space outside.

If the four of them were characters in a comic book, it was as if their page had been torn out, leaving only this half behind.

"What is this place?"

Instructor Lille asked as well, scratching his forehead.

He felt his ’hair’ growing back again.

But based on his previous experience, he knew this was Lloyd’s doing to help him, so he didn’t comment on it, his curiosity about their current situation growing instead.

Before Lloyd could explain, the Space they occupied suddenly began to spin and spiral upward, making everyone dizzy and disoriented until they lost all sense of direction.

Yet their feet were planted firmly on the floor, and their positions relative to the shelves and counter hadn’t changed. It seemed it was only their minds that were spinning.

"Whoaaaa..."

"WHOA, WHOA, WHOA, WHOA, WHOA!"

"BLEGH..."

The instructors and the Teaching Assistant each began to show various symptoms of discomfort.

Lloyd, however, was mostly fine. He looked pale, but at least he could still speak normally.

"Ahem... The conditions aren’t exactly ideal, so try to bear with it. If the storm blows us a bit further out, it shouldn’t be so disorienting."

With that, he gave another wry smile and quipped sarcastically:

"I never thought that besides running an elevator, I’d have to pilot a boat on this trip..."
