Leveling Up by Executing Monsters
Chapter 368 - 326: Great Numerical Expansion (Part 2)
Chapter 368: Chapter 326: Great Numerical Expansion (Part 2)
All in all, it was an incredibly useful ability that could be used in all sorts of creative ways, as long as one’s ’Ability Domain’ could keep up...
The upgrade to[Spatial Domination] also slightly enhanced the ’Spatial Positioning’ function he’d gained from its LV1 to LV2 upgrade, allowing Lloyd to determine his location via "Brain Test" without relying on the Spatial Compass.
For instance, with the storm raging, the Compass had been going haywire the entire time and had completely lost its positioning function. It was basically useless.
Lloyd, on the other hand, could use this new function to get a rough sense of his current location in space.
However, Lloyd soon discovered that his current position was far from ideal...
’Uh... why am I drifting farther and farther away?’
’If I keep drifting like this, I’m going to crash right into the physical world, aren’t I?’
’No way! I wasn’t planning on going back this soon!’
Lloyd felt a sense of helplessness. He hadn’t controlled the ’lifeboat’s’ drift at all, and the storm had somehow blown it further and further from the center...
And while moving away from the storm meant he was safer, his insights into and understanding of Space were no longer as efficiently gained as before.
Lloyd didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Was he lucky or unlucky?
’But since it’s come to this, I might as well just return to the physical world as soon as possible, right?’
’After all, I’ve still got three ’seasick’ people with me, and one of them is severely injured...’
’Besides, I didn’t make it back with the main group, so a lot of people must be worried about me. Better to get out of this danger zone quickly.’
So, Lloyd put his newly mastered abilities to use, guiding the small shop’s space to drift toward the physical world. At the same time, he controlled the protective [Projection] outside, making it actively ’paddle’ to speed up their return journey.
He roughly estimated that another hour of drifting would bring him to a point very close to the physical world. From there, he could open a Teleportation Gate and make his triumphant return.
With that settled, Lloyd began to take stock of his other gains from the trip. He opened his panel and reviewed the skill upgrade notifications.

Aside from a few skills that leveled up through repeated use and practice, all the skills that required more knowledge had been upgraded.
It was always comforting to see an upgrade for [Dizziness Resistance] and [Orbital Control], two skills Lloyd valued greatly.
As for his core ability, [Twisted Realm], while it hadn’t been of much use on this journey, it had still passively leveled up.
Unfortunately, this upgrade didn’t add any new functions; it simply strengthened the four original effects: Perception and Cognition Twist, Physical Twist, Ability Twist, and the twisted passive defense.
What Lloyd really wanted was the technique described in the journal of that ’Twist predecessor’—the fancy trick of twisting someone’s fireball into a rose.
He had a vague feeling that this kind of function—a twist that involved material forms or manipulation on a microscopic level—probably couldn’t be obtained through simple skill upgrades.
The upgrade to his [Divination] skill, however, gave him another new and rather odd divination method: Change of Fortune Divination.
It supposedly let him know what to do on a specific day and at a specific time to change his luck. For instance, if he bathed, burned incense, and then did a gacha pull at the right moment, he could supposedly get three new "waifus" from the prize pool in a single ten-pull.
’Somewhat useful, but not by much...’
Moreover, its accuracy was worrying. Even at level 7, it only had a 30% chance of successfully finding a method for a Change of Fortune.
The effects of the Change of Fortune were also completely random. It might result in a ten-pull so lucky it would make him scream, or it might just give him a single, useless four-star unit.
In short, this new divination feature was rather awkward. The main improvement to the [Divination] skill was still the increased accuracy for his other divination methods.
This was great. His future divinations would surely lean more and more toward optimistic outcomes.
Aside from the knowledge that led to skill upgrades, Lloyd had also acquired a lot of junk knowledge that was swept directly into his brain’s recycling bin.
It wasn’t completely useless, though. In the future, it could serve as ammunition for [Aggressive Speech].
’I wonder who will have the good fortune to experience the effects of [Aggressive Speech] loaded with [Forbidden Knowledge]?’
He also gained a great deal of scattered, ancient knowledge that wasn’t associated with any of his skills and couldn’t be found in the outside world.
However, most of this knowledge was too fragmented and disorganized to form a coherent whole. While it hadn’t been swept into the ’recycling bin,’ it was unusable for now.
After all, Lloyd had come into contact with far too many Knowledge Fragments while saving people...
The knowledge within that massive library was even more varied and eclectic, as if it had cataloged every piece of information from its time, accepting everything from "Techniques for Raising Sows" and "Cosmetology for Men" to "Little Tricks for Romance."
