Chapter 375: Chapter 329: I Have Seen the Future and Hope of Humanity

the professor explained.

’A container? That’s right. Purely in terms of capacity, the three academic zones are definitely better than a bunch of scattered Space Elevators. This would not only greatly simplify my next steps but also better preserve the integrity of the storm!’

’My original plan to split the storm into dozens, or even hundreds, of pieces is definitely not as good as dividing it into three like this. The result will be far more complete and intact.’

’And a more complete Spatial Storm means a more powerful weapon—and a bigger EXP pack!’

After a moment of thought, Lloyd nodded emphatically and said with a look of delight,

"If we can use these three academic zones as containers, that would be absolutely perfect!"

"Then go ahead. How can I help?"

"Just release the Spatial Anchors they’re using to stay in position. Oh? You’ve already done it? Then I’m all set!"

As Lloyd spoke, he eagerly sliced open a Teleportation Gate in mid-air and made to step inside.

"Wait! What... what are you doing?"

Professor Lawrence hurriedly called out to him.

"I’m not strong enough. I need to get closer to control those three academic zones."

Lloyd didn’t explain further. After a brief reply, he stepped through the gate, leaving Professor Lawrence and Dandy to stare at each other, dumbfounded.

"Professor? Did Lloyd... Did he just open a Teleportation Gate inside the Spatial Storm?"

"It appears so..."

"Is... is that even possible?"

"He’s not human. He’s some kind of humanoid creature that’s highly sensitive to Alternate Space, so... I suppose that makes it plausible?"

"And... it looks like he’s planning to control those three academic zones without any equipment? Is... is *that* plausible?"

"Well... a human could never do something like that, but if he’s some kind of special life-form, it’s conceivable."

"And he said he wasn’t strong enough..."

"We can’t judge a creature like him by human standards... Okay, that’s enough questions. Are you trying to drive me insane?"

Neither of them had ever imagined that Lloyd would, so nonchalantly, pull off something so outrageous.

Fortunately, they’d already had enough "warning shots" from his previous antics. So after this bout of mutual reassurance, the two of them managed to grudgingly accept the situation. Their once-shaky Cognition stabilized again.

"I don’t understand the specifics of his plan, but I hope he can pull it off. The Dean did say that kid never disappoints."

Professor Lawrence murmured with a sigh, then added an order:

"Turn off some of the recording instruments. Especially the ones on those three academic zones. Don’t leave behind any data or records."

Dandy froze for a moment before he, too, realized the necessity of the order. He quickly performed a series of operations on a nearby light screen.

Finally, he let out a long sigh and remarked,

"He’s just a freshman, but why do I get the feeling he’s about to become a professor himself?"

The remark made Professor Lawrence pause, and he sank into thought, as if seriously considering Dandy’s suggestion.

......

On Lloyd’s end, the moment he stepped through the Teleportation Gate, the "wind" buffeting him turned sharp and bone-chilling.

This academic zone appeared to be a desolate wilderness, complete with mountains and trees. ’Probably an outdoor testing ground for one of the departments,’ Lloyd surmised. ’The professor must have released it first because it’s so spacious.’

And just as Lloyd had sensed, the structural integrity of the Space here was nowhere near strong enough to withstand the storm’s assault—

Before his eyes, the mountains and forests were vanishing at an incredible speed, without pattern or warning. It was like a drawing being haphazardly scrubbed out with an eraser, leaving behind only pitch-black spatial fissures.

Fortunately, Lloyd had arrived just in time. Large areas still remained, not completely "erased." And though it was riddled with holes, the overall spatial structure was still barely intact. It was still usable.

So, he quickly released his [Projection] and began repairing and reinforcing the "erased" areas.

This "repair" couldn’t bring back the vanished trees and mountains, but it could fill in the black fissures with a blank, white emptiness, making the scene look as if it had been slathered with correction fluid.

Then, Lloyd knelt on one knee, placing both hands on the ground. He poured his inspiration and Spiritual Power into the land, taking control of it with [Spatial Domination].

’This step wasn’t difficult. It was similar to when I converted the snack shop into an ’escape pod’ earlier. The only difference was the scale—this was much larger and consumed far more power.’

’It was a good thing I’d leveled up so much recently. With 440 points of [Spiritual Power], and having rested a bit to recover it, I could just about keep up with the drain for now.’

’My Shandu pendant, the Holy Artifact [Desperate Counterattack], also proved to be crucial. Its passive Spiritual Power recovery effect was a massive help, relieving a great deal of the pressure.’

’It was ironic, really. The pendant’s main selling point was supposed to be the ability to unleash an all-out strike by pouring all of one’s Spiritual Power into it. Yet, its passive recovery turned out to be the most critical feature...’

Lloyd smiled to himself. Then, while keeping one hand pressed to the ground to maintain the process, he began rummaging through his Storage Bag with his free hand, searching for a suitable Spiritual Material.

This material was for inscribing a Mark, which would essentially install a unique controller on the academic zone, allowing him to manipulate it remotely.
