Chapter 377: Chapter 330: I Did It

"Haha! I did it! Master Luo is a success!"

Lloyd was also slumped weakly on the ground, a wide, undisguised grin of triumph on his face.

Not only had he saved the academy, but he had also managed to capture the Spatial Storm with over eighty percent of its original integrity!

This level of integrity far exceeded his most optimistic expectations. It was an unexpected, pleasant surprise.

A more complete Spatial Storm meant greater power, and it would also allow for more research and study in the future.

Lloyd had originally thought his biggest gain from this incident was the Special Skill from before. Who knew there would be an even bigger prize waiting at the end?

’Adding in the Attribute points, Knowledge Fragments, and the Special Skill from before, I can only say I’m satisfied. Truly satisfied.’

’Hope there are more "archaeological digs" like this in the future.’

Lloyd sighed with emotion inwardly, then felt a wave of exhaustion and drowsiness wash over him. His eyelids began to fight to stay open.

Controlling and reinforcing the three school districts had almost completely depleted his body’s Spiritual Power...

Lloyd quickly waved his hand to open a Teleportation Gate back to his luxury dorm room. He then casually flopped onto the floor and fell asleep instantly.

The moment he fell asleep, an invisible force materialized in the air. It took the form of a gentle, feminine body that snuggled into his arms like a well-behaved kitten, embracing him softly and pressing its cheek tightly against his chest.

It felt like a Childhood Sweetheart comforting her lover after a long and arduous ordeal.

A short while later, another invisible force arrived outside the dorm room door. It took the form of Dean Hazled and peered inside through the wall.

"Mmm... As long as he’s all right..."

The Dean murmured, his voice laced with a clear smile.

But that smile didn’t seem to be just out of happiness that the storm had subsided; was there a hint of some other kind of gratification mixed in?

............

"How is this possible? How on earth did you do it? Why won’t you tell us? Lawrence! This is a major breakthrough that concerns the destiny and future of all humanity! How can you be so secretive at such a critical juncture?"

Professor Pierce of the Space System grabbed Professor Lawrence’s Mage Robe and refused to let go, demanding an answer to his questions.

Professor Albert, standing to the side, blocked Professor Lawrence’s escape route and chimed in to support him:

"Yes, Lawrence, this is no time for our personal grudges. We won’t usurp your academic achievements, nor will we ask for our names on the paper. But you can at least tell us what happened, can’t you? And how did you do it?"

It was a crucial time for cleanup. The entire Space System was busy controlling the reset of the school districts and reinstalling the Spatial Anchors. Even people from other disciplines were busy assessing the damage and tending to the injured. Everyone was swamped.

But these two professors, and only them, seemed a little too idle.

Professor Lawrence was exasperated and could only say seriously:

"Believe it or not, the reason I’m not telling you is because I don’t know myself... Besides, I’d rather not have you committed to a mental asylum. There aren’t many people in our Space System as it is, and even people as annoying as you have a certain level of academic competence."

But the two professors weren’t convinced and continued to press him aggressively:

"You don’t know? How could you not know? You were the only one left in the lab... And what about the relevant data? Why can’t we see any of it? Have you hidden it already?"

"A mental asylum? Am I to take that as a threat?"

Professor Lawrence still had a mountain of work to do, but he was being hounded by his two colleagues. He was furious and snapped irritably:

"Fine. If you’re so eager to die, I won’t stop you. This incident had nothing to do with me. It was handled by a new student I recently recruited, Lloyd. Yes, he came back alive from the Spatial Storm and then, by some means I don’t understand, dissipated it."

"I don’t know how he did it. If you’re not afraid of dying, you can go ask him yourselves. And if you have the guts, you can go take a look at those three school districts. Their current spatial positions aren’t too far away."

After speaking, the professor swiped open three light screens and presented them to his colleagues.

They were structural diagrams of the three school districts Lloyd had used to contain the storm. However, superimposed on the original structures was a cyclone representing the storm—a visual compilation of the formless, invisible power.

Through these diagrams, one could clearly see that the Spatial Storm’s power had been split into three parts, locked securely within the three school districts, and was now gradually subsiding.

But this subsidence wasn’t like a real-world storm simply dissipating. Instead, the forces and turbulence that formed the storm had temporarily gone dormant, appearing relatively quiet.

They were still flowing and full of energy, just not moving or escaping.

At this moment, even the slightest disturbance—the metaphorical flap of a butterfly’s wings—could cause them to return to their former terrifying state.

The two colleagues pestering Professor Lawrence were instantly captivated by the light screens. Each one took a screen and began examining and analyzing the various readings collected alongside it, occasionally discussing it amongst themselves:

"This... This is actually... a static storm? The initial form of a Spatial Storm? Doesn’t that only exist in theoretical hypothesis?"

"Yes, but it’s too quiet. Like a kitten..."

"It’s so beautiful. This is the most perfect and real model, something we could never achieve through data simulation. And there are three of them!"

"But it’s also incredibly dangerous. They’ve only quieted down temporarily, as if restrained by some kind of force. If they’re disturbed, they’ll pounce like waking tigers..."

"The structural integrity of these fringe school districts should have made it impossible to contain such a naturally magnificent entity. How on earth did that old coot Lawrence do it? Could it be that his discipline of Calculation and Practical Application is actually ahead of our Basic Theory discipline?"

"That’s not important. In any case, it couldn’t have been some new student. That old fox is just messing with us. Damn it, he actually hid the truly critical data from the beginning and is only showing us the results. It’s like he’s just showing off."

"The results are enough. I need to gather my people right away to start researching this."

"Yes, me too!"

The two professors’ attention was now completely absorbed by these ’results’, and for the time being, they had no time to bother Professor Lawrence anymore.
