Life Game In Other World
Chapter 1883 - 1882: Journey to Vissen
"Isn’t there any plan that can take effect quickly? To let most ordinary people know that you have their best interests at heart? After all, you didn’t become ’Mayor’ by conventional means." Anke looked at Eric, thought for a moment, and asked.
He vaguely felt that the old man’s question was a real one, and the plan Eric proposed couldn’t convince him.
"I’m not the Mayor now, I’m the Chairman of the Special Military Committee," Eric looked at him, "But do you have any suggestions?"
"For example," Anke thought for a moment, trying to think about what would make him support Eric, "arranging immediate treatment for those seriously ill people. You just said that fifty percent of people’s total assets are negative. Can you forgive their debts directly? After all, their debts come from Rockville Energy Group. Can you take over those factories of Rockville Energy Group directly?"
If his mother’s illness could be cured and the debts of his family could be forgiven, he would not only support Eric but would kneel in gratitude to him.
Speaking of which, he remembered something and continued, "And the military, you need to control them in your hands, clear out those who oppose you, right?"
"What you’re suggesting doesn’t quite fit the procedures, nor does it align with economic principles. If I force it through, I’ll be criticized for being dictatorial. As for the military, Davis will handle everything, you can trust him," Eric rubbed his brow and sighed, "I’ll consider what you’ve said. Do you have any other requests?"
Anke knew Eric didn’t want to continue on this topic, so he nodded and changed the subject, "Can you arrange an airship ticket to Vissen or some kind of caravan?"
He lifted his wristband, muttering, "I originally bought a two o’clock ticket, but it’s already four o’clock now."
"You want to leave?" Eric looked up at him.
"I come from Vilorn, my family is there." Anke gazed at the man before him, he knew Eric was being friendly to him for this long, even speaking with him as equals, solely to win him over, or more accurately, to win over the ’Denos’ behind him.
But he had to go home. He could be without that fragile family, but that fragile family couldn’t be without him.
"I can send people to fetch them here," Eric pondered aloud, "You can reunite here."
He looked at Anke, "Listen to me, Anke, you’re important. Even without the factor of your elders, you’ve shown admirable qualities in the fight against the Witch Sect: kindness, mercy, wisdom,"
His eyes fixed on Anke, those blue eyes seemed to blaze like fire, "Believe me, you have a power in yourself that you can’t even comprehend. You’ll achieve more here than in Vissen."
"You’re flattering me to the point where I’m feeling a bit dizzy," Anke shook his head, pausing as if waiting for He Ao’s advice.
But He Ao remained silent.
He realized that ’the old man’ didn’t want to interfere with his choice. He looked at Eric, hesitated for a moment, and quietly said, "If you’re going to bring my parents over, when will that be?"
"I’m afraid you’ll have to wait until I’ve stabilized the situation," Eric looked at Anke, "You know we have to deal with the enemies outside first. By then, I’ll send troops to Vissen to liberate the people of Vissen from the oppression of the conglomerate."
"What about my family?" Anke asked with some confusion, "When can they be brought over? My mother and brother are both ill right now, and I’m afraid they won’t last that long."
"Of course, of course, they need treatment. If they’re in Ilotan, they’ll receive the best treatment," Eric said, capturing Anke’s concern, "If you want, I can have someone go now to bring them over,"
He looked at Anke, "You can give me their address."
"I can go lead the way myself," Anke said softly, "I haven’t seen them for a long time, I’m not at ease."
Upon hearing this, Eric was silent for a moment, then he contemplated, "I can arrange a small team with some medicine to escort you there. You can take the emergency passage through the North Gate. You can tell me your family’s ailments so that we can find the right medication."
He looked at Anke, "Forgive me for not being able to find a doctor to bring along. We don’t have many doctors, and there will be a war soon. Every doctor is vital to many soldiers’ lives."
"That’s okay," Anke hurriedly shook his head, "These are already more than enough, Vissen also has doctors."
He said with some gratitude, "I thought Mr. Eric, you would forcibly keep me here."
"Then would you stay?" Eric smiled, "Wanting to go home to see your family is human nature, I can’t stop you."
He looked at Anke and continued to ask, "Do you have enough money for treatment?"
"Enough," Anke shook his head, "I’ve earned some money. If I can bring them over, they won’t lack treatment."
"Really enough?" Eric asked again.
"Really enough." Anke nodded.
"Alright then," seeing him insist, Eric didn’t force it, nodded and took a shallow breath, calling towards the door, "Geslo!"
"Mr. Eric," the driver who brought Anke in opened the door and looked at Eric, "Is there something you need?"
"Inform Davis for me, I need a wilderness armed squad, the kind with floating warplanes," Eric told the driver quickly, "to escort Brother Anke back to Vissen and bring his family back."
"Understood," the driver nodded. He looked at Anke and slightly stepped aside, "Mr. Anke, please."
The driver’s attitude had almost completely changed from when they first arrived.
Anke felt a bit flattered.
"Go ahead," Eric looked at him, smiled, "Although Geslo can be a bit fierce sometimes, he’s a good man, he’ll bring you back to Vissen."
Anke nodded lightly and turned to leave with Geslo.
Once the two completely left, the office door automatically closed.
The long luxurious corridor reappeared in Anke’s field of view.
"Why didn’t you accept that Eric’s goodwill," He Ao’s curious voice sounded in Anke’s ear, "Aren’t you in dire need of money?"
"My mother often said that big favors shouldn’t be accepted," Anke raised his head, glanced at Geslo ahead, and whispered, "We poor people have nothing to repay debts with. If we accept a big favor from someone, the only way to repay it is with a life. If I were alone, of course, it wouldn’t matter, but I still have family."
"But you still accepted his suggestion to bring your family to Ilotan," He Ao continued to ask.
"If Ilotan really develops in the way he described," Anke said softly, "bringing my mother and brother over would certainly be better than living in Vissen."
Saying this, Anke paused slightly, a bit curious, "Old man, do you think he can succeed?"
"You’re asking an old man from the Era of the Great Cataclysm?" He Ao laughed, "Back then, many city-states were still practicing slavery."
"But I think you’re different," Anke spoke softly, "You’re very enlightened, not like an ancient person at all."
"Now you’re not thinking I’m an ancient person, but someone from the future," He Ao chuckled, "How could I know if they’re successful or not? I’m not a time traveler from the future, if I say something wrong, you’d point fingers at me."
"Old man, honestly... ugh," Anke sighed softly and said in a low voice, "I’m actually a bit anxious, the future they describe is so grand, I always feel it’s unrealistic, maybe my life is just too cheap."
"Every beautiful future isn’t achieved overnight," He Ao replied slowly, "Frustration and despair are the normal path to hope."
"Old man, my grammar isn’t that good," Anke said softly, "Sometimes don’t speak too profoundly or use too archaic terms, I can’t understand."
He Ao paused briefly, then chuckled, "So you’re teasing me for being old, huh?"
Anke laughed heartily.

Buzz——
With a light sound, the screen behind Eric suddenly flickered, revealing a man in military uniform, none other than Davis, "You just let him leave? There’s definitely a powerful Angel behind him, if that Angel stays in the city, Rockville Energy Group won’t act recklessly, we’d have spare time to complete our plans."
"But we also can’t stop the Angel," Eric shrugged, "Even if we find a way to keep Anke, we couldn’t keep the Angel behind him, might as well do him a favor."
The officer on the screen was silent for a moment, then sighed, "But everything we do goes against the tide. The opportunities we can seize are few, even if you let them go, you should make them cooperate a bit, make the outside believe there’s still an Angel in the city."
"It’s okay, Davis," Eric replied with a smile, "Aren’t we still succeeding now? As long as they leave covertly enough, we can continue to bluff."
He glanced at the documents on the table, "We’re getting closer to our ideal, everything will be alright."
The Davis on the screen glanced at him, then at the documents on the table, and suddenly asked, "What do you think about the questions that ’Anke’ just raised?"
"Very sharp," Eric nodded slightly, "I’ve thought about it, maybe we should adjust the original plan a little, but the main premise is still to ensure basic processes and Order, we can tighten the process slightly, don’t worry, my brother, everything will go smoothly."
Davis looked at him, sighed lightly, "I hope so."
With that, he cut the communication.
——
Ilotan North Gate
The morning light faintly emerged at the edge of the sky, illuminating a hint of white in the darkness.
Anke followed the fully armed team, bracing against the biting morning wind, heading towards the floating warplane outside.
"Rockville Energy Group Mercenary Corps has noticed something wrong, they’re deploying scouts to investigate and blockade the surroundings," Geslo, walking at the front, quickly said, "We can’t bring much equipment, it’s best to have a floating warplane to quickly pass through the blockade zone."
He led Anke onto the warplane’s steps, heading upwards, "But don’t worry, this floating warplane looks small, but it’s nuclear-powered and covered with extensive armor, General Davis took out the Floating Warplane originally used privately by the City Defense Commander and gave it to you."
"This warplane is already quite big." Anke raised his head, looking at the warplane before him.
This warplane was several times larger than the one they had driven earlier.
Then, as he entered the warplane, his awe halted abruptly.
"Damn," Anke remarked, looking at the neatly arranged large soft sofas inside, "What’s this?"
"Some comfort features." Geslo replied slowly, "The general selected some options when purchasing, and then modified some himself after bringing it back."
"Damn," Anke threw himself onto the sofa, his whole body being slowly swallowed by the soft cushions, "This is too comfortable."
The soldiers from the City Defense Army who followed Anke in were also curiously looking at these sofas.
Clearly, this was their first visit to the interior of this warplane too.
"Everyone sit down, sit down," lying on the sofa, Anke saw this and quickly waved, "Don’t be shy, make yourselves at home."
Upon finishing, his hand happened to touch the side of the sofa, accompanied by his touch, a light ’click’ sound came from the ’wall’ beside.
A hidden wine cabinet filled with dense bottles appeared.
"Damn!" Anke exclaimed again.
He lowered his head, gazing at the full array of wines in the cabinet, among them were wines and distilled spirits, in various colors, and mostly brands Anke hadn’t seen before.
"Damn, this is Winsnie from year 750!" A soldier from the City Defense Army carefully picked up the bottle at the very front, gazing at the rich red liquid.
"What do you mean?" Anke raised his head, asking with some confusion, "Is this wine expensive?"
"Not just expensive!" The soldier looked at Anke, "This bottle, the market price is at least a hundred thousand federal coin, and it doesn’t even have a market!"
"How much, a hundred thousand federal coin?!" Other soldiers heard this and gathered around, "Damn, this is too expensive!"
"Is this wine made of gold?" The soldiers exclaimed in disbelief one after another.
At this moment, Anke quietly looked at the slightly worn label of the red wine bottle.
The bottle wasn’t very big, and the wine wasn’t much, if it were a bottle of water, Anke could drink it in one gulp.
Even as wine, he could drink it in one gulp.
A hundred thousand federal coin, if he found an underground doctor, maybe it would be enough to treat his mother’s illness.
Paying for medical insurance, it could also be paid for ten years.
Geslo looked at the noisy people, raised his hand, and closed the cabin door.
The warplane took off, heading towards the dim sky.
