Limited Time Marriage: Nice to Meet You Mr. Foster
Chapter 615 - 614: Massive Compensation
Chapter 615: Chapter 614: Massive Compensation
South Grant was driving on his way here, completely having no time to check his phone. When he heard Simon White saying this, he realized the seriousness of the issue.
South Grant asked Simon White in a low voice:
"Where’s Fiona Grant? Where did she go?"
Fiona Grant is the manager of the R&D department. She is responsible for all product quality checks. With such an incident happening, the company would first hold Fiona Grant accountable.
"I haven’t seen her all day, I don’t know where she went; asked the secretary to call her, but she couldn’t be reached." Simon White was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan at this moment.
Simon White understood even more than South Grant that a skincare brand relies on its reputation. Once something like skin corrosion or the presence of carcinogenic substances occurs, even if it’s just an unfounded rumor, it could make the brand lose consumer trust.
Even just a tiny bit of possibility could make this brand disappear forever, never to be seen again.
More than a decade ago, they faced a similar situation.
Back then, a consumer had allergic reactions and complained, but later it was found out that the allergy was caused by another skincare product.
However, because the tug-of-war took too long, it greatly affected their reputation, and later due to mismanagement, they have been on a downward slope.
The current situation is very similar to back then; if this issue isn’t handled well, it could very likely reenact the tragic history.
At this moment, the staff from the quality control department, wearing gloves, reopened the box, picked out a few bottles, and packed them into sealed bags, then asked the people present:
"Who is in charge here?"
Simon White walked over: "I am the general manager here, I’m in charge."
"We will take these back for inspection, and all of your warehouses must completely stop shipments and sales until the inspection results are out."
Simon White became anxious upon hearing that everything had to stop.
"Dear leaders, you see, the shopping festival just passed, we’ve already accepted orders from major malls and provincial distributors. They are all waiting for the goods now, and if we cannot ship, we will face enormous penalties, and there’s currently no evidence proving our products have carcinogens. It’s just some ill-intentioned people maliciously reporting and creating news; maybe it’s our commercial rivals. If we stop shipments, it will cause great losses to our company."
The previous orders were extraordinarily large, and if they cannot be shipped on time, the compensations faced could bankrupt their company.
At this moment, the staff from the quality control department looked stern, and their attitude towards Simon White was quite harsh.
"Is your company more important, or the safety of consumers across the country? Since there’s a report, it means someone had an accident using your products. We cannot allow such safety hazards to exist. Now it’s just stopping warehouse dispatches; once any issues are found with your products, your company will face criminal liability and these goods will have to be destroyed. If you obstruct us, I will charge you with interfering with official duties."
Simon White wanted to say something more, but South Grant reached out and held him back. It was obvious these people came with a purpose.
"Mr. White, say no more. We will cooperate."
There’s no choice but to cooperate in the current situation.
Simon White watched as all the warehouses were sealed off, gasping with anger.
South Grant looked at the seals, his gaze cold.
