Limited Time Marriage: Nice to Meet You Mr. Foster
Chapter 617 - 616: Premeditation
Chapter 617: Chapter 616: Premeditation
Chester Lynch also realized the severity of the situation; he had already heard that the warehouse was sealed.
No matter how many orders Elysian’s Beauty Cream from The Ellison Group currently has, once the warehouse is sealed, nothing can be shipped for at least ten to fifteen days.
Moreover, there might be quality inspections underway now, production has stopped entirely, and even if they rush, they can’t fulfill the orders. Those orders are bound to entail high compensation.
South Grant has just taken over The Ellison Group not long ago; an incident like this at such a time is a fatal blow.
Chester Lynch remained silent for a while, then spoke.
"South, this matter isn’t easy to resolve, you should talk to Mr. Foster. Even though he’s resigned from his position now, there are still some departments where he can exert influence."
Upon hearing Chester Lynch’s suggestion, South Grant’s initial reaction was not to bother Nathan Foster. Nathan Foster is currently investigating the treasure matter and is constrained by Harold Foster. Essentially, he is playing a strategic game with Harold Foster, so South can’t afford to distract him. Given how big this matter has become, Nathan Foster’s intervention may not necessarily settle it.
If someone catches on to him using connections for shortcuts, it wouldn’t be advantageous for him.
"It’s okay, I can handle it," South Grant said.
Chester Lynch listened to South Grant and knew she was speaking stubbornly. Such matters aren’t easily resolved not just by South Grant; even Chester Lynch would find it troublesome.
Seeing her intentions not to trouble Nathan Foster, Chester Lynch, after all, couldn’t make decisions for South Grant, so he only expressed concern:
"If there’s anything you need, let me know anytime, and I will do everything in my power to help."
"Chester, thank you," South Grant sincerely thanked him.
After hanging up the phone, South Grant looked at her phone and dialed Dodo and Didi’s number. Soon, they answered, and South Grant said over the phone:
"You two, come over."
Since South Grant returned to the country this time, Dodo and Didi have always been by her side.
Arranged by Nathan Foster, they don’t interfere with her life usually, only appearing when there’s danger.
Soon Dodo arrived, and South Grant pressed the car door, allowing them to get in. Seeing them enter, South Grant immediately said:
"Help me with something."
...
The situation escalated, and the sales department’s phones were almost bombarded.
Some requested order cancellations, some wanted to terminate their partnerships, and some demanded compensation.
The entire department was working overtime answering calls, calming all the distributors.
Meanwhile, the main entrance of The Ellison Group was surrounded by consumers, holding banners with red backgrounds and white text accusing them of being unscrupulous merchants profiting from shady practices.
Additionally, some fueled attacks against South Grant, claiming that the issue surfaced after South Grant took over the company and that he was definitely using substandard products to make more ill-gotten money.
People seemed to have a coordinated agreement, arriving concurrently to block the entrance.
People couldn’t get out; just as South Grant came down from the upper floors, the receptionist informed her of the situation outside. Security guards were holding them back, ensuring those outside couldn’t enter, but South Grant might find it difficult to leave.
Later, South Grant went to the parking lot, only to find it blocked too.
With such organization and discipline, she realized these people were premeditated, brought here by arrangement.
Since she couldn’t avoid them, she decided to face them.
Afterward, South Grant walked out through the main entrance; as soon as she appeared, the people outside crowded toward her, overwhelming The Ellison Group’s security guards.
