Chapter 645: Chapter 644: Utter Disappointment

Fiona Grant couldn’t understand, even if Stella Foster was disappointed, it was a disappointment towards South Grant. Why did she show a look of disappointment when looking at her?

Stella Foster set the photos aside without looking at them again, then her gaze fell on Fiona Grant, with an indescribable heaviness in her voice.

"Fiona, did you go through a lot of trouble to take these?"

Fiona Grant looked at Stella Foster’s expression, not knowing what to do for a moment.

At this moment, she could only stammer:

"This matter seems so unbelievable to me, I was just very shocked, I needed evidence to tell you."

Stella Foster’s gaze gradually turned cold, "Fiona, I always thought that the rumors outside were false, and you had unavoidable reasons."

Upon hearing Stella Foster’s words, Fiona Grant knew that South Grant must have said something to her, which made her prejudiced against herself, and whenever something happened, she would unknowingly side with South Grant.

So, Fiona Grant hurriedly spoke to Stella Foster:

"Mom, listen to me, don’t listen to South Grant’s nonsense. All these years you were gone, she not only didn’t take good care of me, but also let the Grant Family bully me. You have no idea what I’ve been through, she’s always targeting me, unable to stand seeing me well, and also..."

Fiona Grant continued talking endlessly, but she was interrupted by Stella Foster.

"Enough!"

Fiona Grant froze, then pouted in grievance, her voice carrying a sob:

"I know, I have nothing now, unlike South Grant who can give you a good life..."

Before Fiona Grant could finish her sentence, she was slapped hard across the face by Stella Foster.

Immediately, a five-fingered mark appeared on Fiona Grant’s face.

"Mom, you hit me for South Grant!"

Over the years, Stella Foster had lived a serene and detached life, and had never gotten so angry for anyone.

"Your sister, from the first time I saw her until now, has never spoken ill of you. Even though she doesn’t want to bring up your matters, she avoids speaking of them, but she would never denounce. And you, look at what you just said, what you did!"

Fiona Grant, holding her face, felt curious, if it wasn’t South Grant saying those things, then who was denouncing her?

"Nathan brought up some things you did before, and I didn’t want to believe him. He did it only to make me cautious of you, to keep you away from your sister. But I didn’t believe him. On the first day you followed your sister, just as she entered the restaurant, Nathan noticed you following behind her. You thought you were meticulous, but everything you saw was what he let you see. Just as Nathan expected, you spared no effort in trailing her, and after you got your so-called evidence, you came to report to me. Do you know what your sister did? She never mentioned anything between you two in front of me, just to not make me worry. And you?"

After speaking, when Stella Foster looked at Fiona Grant, the look of expectation was gone.

"Mom, don’t be fooled by her. If she was so innocent, she wouldn’t have set me up; this is clearly to make you dislike me!" Fiona Grant shouted, still unwilling to give up.

The disappointment in Stella Foster’s eyes deepened; she didn’t even want to talk to Fiona Grant anymore.

At this point, Nathan Foster spoke up from the side, "It was me who said it. South doesn’t know anything and is still in the dark. If she knew, she wouldn’t say anything to keep your mother from worrying."
