Chapter 119: Not a Generac Stone?!

Tyler woke up to a strange feeling. For the first time in a while, his thoughts were entirely his own, unless he decided to reach out telepathically to one of his familiars.

’Such a weird dream. I can’t believe I dreamt about a date on Earth I had with Nina.’ Tyler yawned, stretched and smiled. ’That was a good day. I hope they’re still watching!’

Tyler looked around the cave, surprised it was empty.

’I wonder where everyone went! I hope they’re safe but knowing them, there’s no way they’d do anything stupid and Ash is gone so they’re fine.’

’Huh?’

Gaia appeared and handed Tyler each of the potions and two food capsules. He thanked her and ate the capsules, drank the potions and felt refreshed. He slowly walked to the entrance and made a tiny slit to see the scoreboard.

"Ash, is everyone ok? I got a weird notification about a creation crystal. What did you find?"

"A beast spawn point made by humans in the forest. It seems this entire thing isn’t just run by Eidolons. Looks like the staff also placed things around the forest to populate them. Sophie grabbed it and it stopped spawning them."

"Interesting. You should all head back, it’s almost reset and who knows what nonsense is going to happen! I slept for 13 hours, yikes."

"Your body needed the rest! The others should be back shortly. Ritsu said they were going to eat up, rest and Leviathan is coming inside you this time. We have a ton of griffon meat so that should help!"

Tyler smiled as his ladies and Ash appeared in front of the solid barrier. He quickly let them in before sealing the door shut. Their arms were full of potions, cooked meat, five blood bags and an extra pound of flesh.

"Woah, you all did great! You got us in first place as well! We only have an hour so what’s the plan?" Tyler asked.

"There’s no way they leave it to chance. I say we make them come to us or force them to eliminate on of their teams," Nyx said with a giant grin before drinking one of the blood bags.

Kass followed and drank a blood bag and finished off the flesh. Sophie and Amanda were chowing down on the cooked meat so Tyler grabbed some. They all looked and felt significantly better.

"Sophie, what’s up with this creation crystal?" Tyler finally asked after finishing his meal. He used water magic to wash away his hands and clean up his face. Sophie used her water spells to help the girls freshen up.

"Oh this thing? It stopped glowing when I picked it up. Griffons were popping through them like crazy!"

"When I inspected it I just got vague details about a diamond creation crystal. It wouldn’t tell me anything more than that. Ash mentioned it was human made, so I wonder how many people can actually craft these..."

"Why wouldn’t your dad or uncle tell you about them?" Amanda asked politely.

"Not sure..." Nyx trailed off with a face filled with frustration.

"I’m sure they can’t if you’re a student here. Maybe once you graduate or something?" Tyler said while giving her a hug and kiss on the forehead.

"Your dad has always remained tight lipped, even about the tournament. It’s fine, it’s good that we found one. I wonder what it’s worth?" Kass asked with an excited expression.

"What’d we miss?" Ritsu asked and Tyler felt everyone return. 𝘧𝓇ℯℴ𝓂

After catching everyone up on everything, Ritsu made a suggestion.

Tyler summoned his staff and touched the clear, medium creation crystal with it.

"Woah," the girls gasped.

Crescens started glowing, absorbing the crystal slowly.

[Ping! Your staff is now able to conjure temporary griffon summons.]

’So I can shoot out random beasts?!’

[Yes. They will follow your commands but not to the extent of your familiars. They will only last five minutes and there is a limit to the number you can create at once.]

"So essentially I can create beasts with my staff now," Tyler smirked to everyone.

"That’s great! There’s 3 minutes left...are we really leaving this to chance?!" Amanda panicked.

Armitage was certain they knew the location of Ability Academy’s last team but every cave wall they smashed open resulted in a dark, damp empty cavern.

"Son of a bitch!" The first team’s captain yelled, looking at the timer.

"2 minutes...." Team 2’s captain said nervously.

Tyler and the others could hear them nearby. He signaled for them to be quiet and huddle up in the back. He created several false walls, hopeful if their enemies knocked down their first one, they would keep moving forward.

The blasts of destruction and footsteps were getting closer to their cave. Nyx suggested in a whisper to teleport out, but Tyler didn’t want to risk anything with the upcoming reset. Sophie quickly built another case to put everything in on the off chance they were thrown somewhere random.

When the timer hit 1 minute, the top two Armitage teams turned and quickly stunned and paralyzed their allies.

"You could have fucking warned us! That hurt like hell." The captain complained as he laid motionless.

Bahamut and Asura observed closely, intrigued by the creation crystal in the forest. They knew they existed and weren’t surprised the school created them but the King and Queen weren’t pleased they tossed them in the forest casually.

"Well, what about your sister?" Asura asked with a worried expression.

"After all this time, she’s reappeared on the planet where Tyler reincarnated. I do not find this coincidence and I wonder what other gods and goddesses she has under her thumb." He said while gently grazing his well kept beard.

"Do you think she’ll attack Tyler?" Asura asked.

"No. She’s not that foolish. If anything she’ll want him to become more powerful before he makes a move. The more power he has, the more she has to gain." Bahamut sighed.

"Well, only two more days to find out and she’s gone until the last day. Hopefully this stupid tournament ends before then." Asura finally relaxed.

"Indeed. I just hope Tyler keeps his cool and doesn’t snap. The hooded Eidolon is on their trail and he hasn’t picked up on it yet. I’m surprised none of them have. Who could it possibly be? I can’t think of anyone." Bahamut said while reaching for Asura’s hand.

"Neither can I. Vox also concerns me. Why would such a young Eidolon side with Tiamat and where did he come from? Surely we would know of a new creation?" Asura asked while grabbing Bahamut’s hand.

"Tiamat does what she wants, when she wants but I don’t think he created her. He’s a wild card and a mystery."
