Chapter 132: That’s Not Good

"Ladies and Gentlemen this is Susan with your Prestige Nightly! This week has finally come to a conclusion with the continued rise of Ability Academy’s Team 1. Tyler, Sophie Nyx and Kass are in the top 8 of single duels going into the weekend, Armitage has lost their momentum and all things seem to be looking up for Ability Academy. With the weekend off, what will our competitors do? Here’s Dean Pritchett for an exclusive Interview!"

"Thanks Susan. Usually during the weekends we allow our students all the rest and recovery they could imagine. With the Qi event and solo duels coming to an end next week, we want all of our competitors to be at the top of their games!" The Dean said, beaming with excitement.

"You have to feel great about your school’s showing. What can you tell us about Tyler and his group?"

"They are as big of a surprise to me as anyone else!" The Dean chuckled into the cameras.

"It’s funny knowing the laughs and stuff are fake after doing one of these," Tyler laughed while the girls cuddled around him.

"Yeah no kidding. Let’s watch a movie or something," Amanda said while clicking off the interview.

Ability Academy had a sizable lead in the tournament. Whoever made the brackets was very gracious to Ability Academy, leaving it up for a potential final four with Kass against Nyx and Tyler against Sophie. Amanda and Sophie made it to the finals of the Qi competition and everything was trending up for the group.

They were back to their regular rotation and late in the middle of Friday night, after spending some alone time with Sophie, Tyler woke up alone in the middle of the night.

"We need to go to the Land of Summoned Monsters," Ash said calmly.

Tyler yawned and didn’t question it anymore. He opened a portal and left the girls a note, just in case.

-Went to the Eidolon Realm with Ash. Be back Soon. Love, Tyler.

As they stepped through the portal, Tyler immediately understood why Ash needed to come. He flew out rapidly and burst into a giant ball of flames. This didn’t worry Tyler anymore but the system notification he got was much different than what he was used to getting.

Tyler watched his brilliant phoenix fly around much faster, darting around corners and trees with ease and he couldn’t help but admire how much bigger he was. His white flames now had hints of blue in certain areas.

"Dude you look fucking amazing!" Tyler said proudly.

"Thanks kid, feel great too. This is definitely the strongest I’ve been since that curse got put on me. You’re doing great. Keep it up and I’ll be my old self in no time!"

Sophie woke up and saw the note and woke the other girls. Tyler always left the portals open so they put on their gear and walked through it.

"Woah!" Sophie shouted.

Within seconds they were flooded with an ambush of a rogue faction of Eidolons.

"Everyone besides Vox, out now! Vox, link up. I want to try this new realm business." Tyler said confidently.

"Get the brat!" The leader of the faction shouted.

Tyler let them come to him while listening to Vox’s instructions.

"Now." Vox said sternly

Tyler concentrated as the Eidolons rushed straight through his body. Only temporarily did he notice he was in a black space.

"Woah, that’s so cool." Tyler grinned.

"Yes, I haven’t done much with the place. We could build whatever you wanted there, really." Vox said casually.

"What about the girls? Can I get them to that realm?"

"Yes, but only once you’re stronger with this link."

Nyxara was in her assassin form 32 and Sophie, buffed by Amanda, was shredding Eidolon after Eidolon. Even Kass was on a rampage. Ash swooped in and incinerated five of them with ease.

"Damn Ash, I can’t even imagine you at your full power and Leviathan and Gaia aren’t even here. I thought this ambush would be more difficult." Tyler said while using his staff to charge it up.

’Release the charge!’

A brilliant shockwave of white flame flew out of Tyler’s staff paralyzing the rest of the Eidolons and Nyx had the leader with a sword to his neck.

"Just kill me! I’m not telling you bitches anything," he laughed.

"Kill you? Why would I do that? There are far worse fates than death my friend." She said while kicking him to the ground, right where Tyler was standing.

"Guys, I don’t feel so good..." Tyler said before collapsing to the ground.

"What just happened?!" Nyx said as she teleported and caught him.

Ash snagged the Eidolon leader and Vox emerged before he could get away. "I’ll get Tyler to Bahamut with this leader. You all know the way, right?"

"Yup, Mom and Dad’s castle. I swear I have an internal compass to that thing or something. The ladies and I will catch up with you. Go!" Ash demanded.

"He’s going to be ok right?" Amanda cried out.

"We can only hope, but he’s breathing and stable, so those are good signs," Vox said before teleporting to Asura and Bahamut.

The girls and Tyler’s familiars, aside from Leviathan and Gaia rushed to the castle as quickly as they could. They stopped to stay hi to Esper, grabbed a few potions, tossed him some crystal hearts and were on their way. It took them about 6 hours to catch up to them.

They rushed to the castle doors, where Asura was waiting with a kind smile.

"Asura! Tyler, where is he?" Nyxara asked anxiously.

"He is resting. He will be ok, but he will likely be asleep for a week."

"A week?! We get married on January 21 and he has all those competitions he’s in!" Sophie said, worried about everything going on in their lives.

"I know dear. His recent powerup just came a little too quickly. It knocked him unconscious but he’s in his room sleeping. My husband said he will be just fine. Don’t fret," Asura said while hugging the girls.

Ash stared at his mom for about thirty seconds before he finally relaxed.

"We should all go to him and make sure he’s ok." Ash said calmly.

"I’ll be right there." Leviathan said.

The girls could hear the rumbling from the North. It didn’t take very long for Leviathan and Gaia to appear.

"Woah, you got here quickly." Kass said with a big smile.

"Yes...we will make sure he’s ok, young ones. Aren’t you worried about what your professors and Dean will think if you’re not back at school?" Gaia asked before hugging them.

"Fuck school!" Kass said sternly.

"Kass... don’t be like that. There are people who will be just as worried about him as we are." Nyx said calmly.

"I’ll go back. You stay here." Nyx said before teleporting to the portal and returning back to the apartment.
