Chapter 3077: Chapter 3086: Jumping Down from the Second Floor

The wind whipped past her ears, and Olivia Lewis inhaled too much cold air, almost retching from discomfort. Her arms hurt, her shoulders hurt, and as she plummeted, pain exploded throughout her body.

Her feet finally touched the solid ground, and Olivia groaned, hitting the ground hard.

The rope made of bedsheets she was holding onto snapped completely at that moment, breaking into two pieces. Luckily, Olivia landed just a second before the bedsheets couldn’t bear the weight and broke; otherwise, she would have really fallen from the second floor.

She fell into the shrubs in the back garden, with new scratches bleeding on her arms and legs. Worse, her evening dress was now unwearable, torn all over by the branches.

Thankfully, the essential parts remained intact, or else she would really have to run around naked.

"Senior?" Just as Olivia was wondering how to get out, she suddenly heard Lydia Bell’s savior-like voice.

Olivia immediately turned her head, only to see Lydia staring at her in shock as if she’d seen a ghost. Olivia saw from Lydia’s big eyes reflecting her shadow just how down-and-out she looked. Covered in blood, her clothes were tattered; she looked far from someone attending a banquet, and more like she’d been dragged out into the wild and assaulted.

"Um..." Olivia crossed her arms over her chest, forcing a smile more awkward than tears, "Could you help find me some clothes? Looking like this, I’m afraid I’ll hurt people’s eyes."

Lydia responded to her words and quickly said, "Wait here for a moment, I’ll be right back."

Without another word, Lydia ran inside.

Olivia had inhaled a large amount of aphrodisiac and had just gone through a harrowing experience; her accelerated heartbeat quickened the effect of the drug in her system. Were it not for the pain coursing through her body, she might have fainted straight away. Unfortunately, her body was covered with minor tree-branch scratches, and her scraped arms burned fiercely, giving her no opportunity to ’delicately’ pass out. Instead, she stood firmly there, waiting patiently for Lydia to return.

She wasn’t even sure if Lydia would come back.

Or if she would bring others along.

After all, in the entertainment industry, she’d seen too much darkness for the sake of profit.

Even if Lydia brought someone to deliberately photograph her embarrassing moment, it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary. She stood idly, arms crossed, thinking intensely about who might be behind this setup. And what did they hope to do to her afterward?

While she was lost in thought, Lydia returned. She was alone, just as when she ran out, but now she had a man’s coat in her hand. She quickly draped it over Olivia and whispered, "This is my boyfriend’s coat, you can wrap yourself in it for now. I’ll take you to the WC. I have two dresses prepared for tonight, originally thinking I’d wear one on the red carpet and the other for receiving an award. You are lucky because I really don’t feel like changing, so you can wear one of them. I’ve already asked my assistant to retrieve it from my car. Once there, clean your wounds and change in the restroom. When you’re done, hand the evening dress over to her, and have her take it out for you!"

Though Lydia was new to the entertainment industry, she wasn’t foolish. Seeing Olivia like this, she knew someone set her up, and as she led her to the WC, she spoke quickly.
