Chapter 382: Dealing with Trolls

  • Next Chapter

Solomon sat alone by the open window in the dining hall. The food served in the Qi Gathering Pavilion was vastly different from the protein-dense meals of the Sword Pavilion.

His tray was loaded with a clear, fragrant broth, steamed white rice, and several delicate side dishes featuring rare herbs and steamed lotus pods.

The ingredients were specifically chosen to promote internal peace, relax tense muscles, and naturally enhance the body’s receptivity to ambient spiritual energy.

Despite the delicate presentation, Solomon was starving. The ten-hour meditation session had drained him completely. He shoveled the rice and broth into his mouth without a single care for etiquette, currently working on his third refill of the evening.

The silver owl finally deactivated its high-alert defensive mode. The drone fluttered down from the ceiling and perched quietly on a decorative indoor tree near the window.

Solomon could clearly see the translucent blue interface hovering in front of him. The chat was rapidly scrolling, showering him with supportive gifts and trying to cheer him up after the disastrous cultivation failure.

[1Fizzy: eat up Solo Man! you earned it!]

[James_hayes: the food looks so healthy compared to the usual meat slabs.]

[Mezz_3863: bro is inhaling that rice.]

[GoonLord: WE STILL LOVE YOU KING!]

[sgtcwby: do not let the trolls get you down!]

Solomon swallowed his food and looked directly at the camera lens. "I want to apologize to you guys for losing my cool like that earlier. I let my anger get the best of me, and it ruined my focus."

[LazyCat: it is perfectly fine, anyone would have snapped.]

[Blood Knight: A warrior must sometimes stumble to learn how to walk the path of serenity.]

[User12: we know how hard you were working!]

[NewbHunter: do not even worry about it.]

[OldTimer: meditation is tough, kid. just try again.]

[Frendscham: You should just ban ToxicLord so he does not pull the exact same stunt again.] A viewer suggested in the chat.

[Foodball: YES BAN HIM!]

[M00N: permanently remove him from the stream!]

[Nick: he is just going to keep sniping you if you do not.]

Solomon nodded in agreement.

He tapped the interface, navigating through his gift history log. He scrolled down until he found the 50-point Bronze Idol donation from ToxicLord. He clicked the report button, exaggerating his complaint by citing ’targeted harassment, intentional sabotage of academic progression, and severe verbal abuse’.

He then selected the permanent ban option.

A glowing system prompt appeared on the screen: [User ’ToxicLord’ has been permanently banned from this channel. Flagged for review.]

Solomon smiled in satisfaction and went back to quietly and calmly enjoying his meal. He ate with his chopsticks while casually chatting with his fans. His current live viewership was hovering steadily around 9,400. The numbers were pretty stable, considering Solomon wasn’t exploring a dungeon or fighting a boss monster at the moment.

[Brerell: finally some peace and quiet.]

[Dakota_Smith: the chill streams are nice too.]

[Ron_Selby: enjoy the food bro.]

Everything was going perfectly great, until suddenly, a brand new user sent a donation.

[System: xX_ShadowSniper_Xx has issued a Direct Echo! Gifted 1 Bronze Idol (50 Points).]

Message: "JUST BECAUSE YOU BANNED MY MAIN ACCOUNT DOES NOT MEAN I HAVE DISAPPEARED! I HAVE DOZENS OF ALT ACCOUNTS AND A DISKORD SERVER FULL OF PEOPLE WHO WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE ABSOLUTE HELL!"

Immediately, a flood of new, bizarrely named accounts began spamming the chat and dropping minimum-point echoes.

[System: EdgyDemon69 has issued a Direct Echo! Gifted 1 Bronze Idol (50 Points).]

Message: "you shouldn’t have insulted toxiclord bro! you are finished!"

[System: MommysLittleTroll has issued a Direct Echo! Gifted 1 Bronze Idol (50 Points).]

Message: "we are going to ruin every single cultivation session you ever try to do!"

[System: TheRealStrongestLoser has issued a Direct Echo! Gifted 1 Bronze Idol (50 Points).]

Message: "L streamer! L meditation! L life!"

[Ferald: OH MY GOD THEY ARE RAIDING!]

[Haifuri: ban them all!]

[Naturic: these trolls have absolutely no lives.]

[GoonLord: DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM SOLO MAN!]

[Joshua_Swofford: chat, mass report these bots!]

Solomon calmly selected the offending accounts one by one and banned them all. However, he knew deep down that this was a losing battle since there would be absolutely no end to the trolls’ alt accounts if they were truly dedicated to harassing him.

His loyal chat was going mad over the intrusion, offering words of encouragement and promising to help moderate the stream by reporting the trolls en masse.

[EvilNCarnate: we got your back Solomon!]

[Vaelen: just ignore them!]

[DaoistAlexkg: they are just jealous of your progress.]

Solomon opened his stream settings dashboard. He navigated to the ’Direct Echo’ notification preferences. With a few quick taps, he manually turned off the audio alerts for the 50-point, 100-point, 500-point, 1,000-point, and 2,000-point donation tiers.

However, the system interface literally would not allow him to mute the 5,000-point (Diamond Crown) tier or anything higher. Those specific, high-value alerts were hard-coded by the academy to remain ’Always On’. It was somewhat understandable since if a dedicated fan was willing to spend that massive amount of points on a single gift, their message legally deserved to be heard.

’They are definitely not going to spend five thousand points just to troll me,’ Solomon thought to himself, closing the settings menu. ’And even if they are stupid enough to do that, it is only a financial gain for me.’

He recalled the lecture Yue had given him earlier on the tree branch. ’I need to focus on patience, absolute focus, and internal calm. Dealing with these trolls while trying to cultivate... wouldn’t that actually be the best and the most rigorous anger management session possible?’

After finishing his dinner, Solomon left the hall and navigated the dark gardens. He returned to the same secluded spot on the ancient tree.

And just as she had promised, Yue was already sitting there waiting for him.

She had changed out of her formal administrative robes and was now wearing comfortable, casual training clothes.

[trenthay: yo she actually waited for him!]

[Grapers: W teacher.]

[Fatal_Beauty: her casual outfit is so cute!]

[TallicaStew: round two let’s go!]
