“Mm, I saw them. You can keep them all! I’ve been taking resources from you for free this whole time, and I’ve already gotten more than enough!” Chen Yueying glanced at them, but remained unmoved.

She hadn’t helped at all this time. Without Ye Liuyun’s rescue, she might never have made it out. So she firmly refused to take part in the distribution.

Ye Liuyun had no choice but to leave the resources piled there for the time being and continue searching.

There were still some treasures in the rooms where they had stayed, but out of respect, Ye Liuyun left them untouched. Besides, he felt that he had already taken quite a lot. Unless there was a large quantity of resources, he had no intention of taking anything else.

After looking around, he still found no trace of the power of origin, so he left the great hall. Before departing, he even closed the hall’s doors.

However, the great hall was not yet at the deepest part of the secret realm. Ye Liuyun still had to continue farther in and give it a try.

Thus, after leaving the hall, he continued using the same method: waiting for a suitable spatial passage, passing through the stone puppet’s formation, and then making his way deeper into the secret realm.

Whenever he encountered a suitable spatial passage along the way, he immediately made use of it and crossed over, saving a great deal of time while avoiding many dangers.

He also asked Chen Yueying whether she wanted to come out and explore. However, Chen Yueying claimed that she couldn’t withstand the illusions and refused to come out at all. Instead, she took the opportunity to learn more about Ye Liuyun from Lei Ming.

Without Chen Yueying accompanying him, Ye Liuyun moved even faster on his own.

He soon discovered a great mountain ahead. The space around the mountain had returned to normal. There was a stone gate on the mountain. At that moment, the gate stood wide open, as if someone had already entered.

When Ye Liuyun reached the foot of the mountain and then the stone gate, the Myriad Gods Token flashed each time. He guessed that illusions were obstructing the martial cultivators.

There were quite a few martial cultivators’ corpses at the foot of the mountain and beside the stone gate. They wore various kinds of clothing, and many of them still had their storage rings and weapons on them.

Ye Liuyun was completely unaffected by the illusions, so naturally he wasn’t about to let those resources go. He collected the storage rings and valuable weapons from the corpses.

The resources inside the storage rings were all still there, and Ye Liuyun found quite a few more resources.

There were three passageways inside the stone gate. Ye Liuyun released his divine sense to investigate and discovered that corpses could occasionally be seen lying in each of them. All three passageways wound downward, and he couldn’t see their ends.

Ye Liuyun casually chose the passageway on the far right and walked in. Whenever he encountered a corpse along the way, he took the valuable items from it, looting his way through.

His Myriad Gods Token flashed several times along the way, but he didn’t encounter any actual danger. Each time the token flashed, corpses appeared nearby. He guessed that someone had fallen victim to an illusion and mistaken their companions for enemies.

Ye Liuyun picked up resources all the way and easily walked out of the passageway. At the end, there were more than thirty martial cultivators, all keeping a certain distance from one another and standing on guard with weapons and treasures in hand.

As soon as he entered, everyone turned their eyes toward him. But after seeing his cultivation level, quite a few of them looked away again and turned their gazes toward the three stone chambers ahead.

The doors to the stone chambers were all tightly shut, and a stone golem stood guard outside each one.

“Another one’s here!” a bearded martial cultivator said in a slightly mocking tone.

Ye Liuyun scanned the cultivations of these people and discovered that they ranged from the fourth to the sixth level of the Taixu Realm, all considerably higher than his own. Among them was a martial cultivator wearing the uniform of an inner disciple of the Thousand Spirits Sect. He was probably there to complete a mission and had ended up trapped inside.

Ye Liuyun immediately cupped his fists toward the bearded martial cultivator who had mocked him and asked, “Brother, what’s the situation here? Why is everyone waiting here?”

“Waiting here? Hahaha, you certainly know how to make it sound nice!” The bearded martial cultivator was quite talkative, and he began chatting with Ye Liuyun with a laugh. “Aren’t you just like us, trapped here? I guess the only way to find a way out is to enter those stone chambers!”

“Can’t you just leave the way you came?” Ye Liuyun asked curiously.

“Leave? Didn’t you encounter danger when you came in? And you still want to go back out? Are you a match for those guards?” The bearded martial cultivator grew curious instead.

Only then did Ye Liuyun realize that these people had probably been affected by too many illusions. They believed there were many dangers in the passage outside and didn’t dare fight their way out.

“Could it be that all the guards outside have withdrawn? Kid, you didn’t encounter any guards when you came in?” Another older martial cultivator also sensed that something was wrong and immediately questioned Ye Liuyun.

“There weren’t any in the passage I took!” Ye Liuyun could only reply.

The older martial cultivator looked at Ye Liuyun doubtfully, then walked into that passageway.

The others also gazed over expectantly. Ye Liuyun alone paid no attention to what was happening inside the passageway, instead sizing up the stone golems. The stone golems appeared to have no cultivation level, but several corpses had fallen beside them.

He looked over with his Golden Eyes and saw that the corpses had all been at the sixth level of the Taixu Realm. The golems’ combat strength was probably very formidable; at the very least, martial cultivators at the sixth level of the Taixu Realm were no match for them.

Before long, waves of true essence came from inside the passageway. The older martial cultivator soon came running back, pointing at Ye Liuyun and cursing, “You bastard! I have no grudge against you, so why did you try to get me killed?”

From his perspective, he had encountered the guards again shortly after entering. Fortunately, he had run fast and escaped back; otherwise, Ye Liuyun would have gotten him killed.

“Uh...” Ye Liuyun had no way to explain. They had fallen under an illusion, so naturally what they saw was different from what he saw.

“Hahaha! Who can you blame for being stupid? You believed him just because he said so!” The martial cultivator who had spoken with Ye Liuyun earlier burst out laughing again. He thought Ye Liuyun really had been deceiving the older martial cultivator.

The others also wore expressions of understanding, all assuming that the older martial cultivator’s earlier attitude had been poor and that Ye Liuyun had deliberately set him up.

“If I told you it was an illusion, would you believe me?” Ye Liuyun could only explain.

“Hahaha! You’re quite something, kid. You don’t even blink when you trick people!” Hearing this, the bearded martial cultivator laughed again.

The others also smiled silently as they stood there watching the spectacle.

“To hell with your illusion! Do you take me for an idiot? See if this move of mine is an illusion!”

The older man also thought Ye Liuyun was making fun of him, so he immediately punched at Ye Liuyun.

“Sigh, I knew you wouldn’t believe me even if I told you the truth!”

Ye Liuyun helplessly shook his head and summoned the sixth-grade Void-rank short sword again, blocking the martial cultivator’s attack.

The old man was only a martial cultivator at the fifth level of the Taixu Realm. Upon seeing Ye Liuyun’s sixth-grade short sword, he immediately stopped attacking, afraid that Ye Liuyun would fight him to the death.

“Just you wait!” the old man said resentfully, finding himself a way to back down.
