Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming!
Chapter 1414: I Am Nicole’s Brother
"Camden wanted to kill me, not Brother Cooper... The one lying in there today should have been me, not innocent Brother Cooper..."
Joshua Floyd let out a sigh. "Things are already like this. The more you torment yourself, the more you’ll only hurt your own body. You’d do better to take care of yourself. No one feels this more deeply than Mr. and Mrs. Cooper, and Steven Cooper also needs someone to look after him. None of this will be over in a day or two—this is a lifetime issue. Nicole, I’m afraid all of this is going to fall on you."
Nicole’s long lashes quivered. "It’s not that it ’falls on me’; this is responsibility I have to bear. If Brother Cooper really ends up like this, I’ll make sure to take good care of his parents for the rest of their lives. And Brother Cooper—I’ll do everything in my power to cure him. He shouldn’t be like this. He’s the most promising rising star in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with a boundless future. He shouldn’t be lying in a bed for the rest of his life!"
Joshua Floyd gave a low "mm," originally wanting to ask what they should do about Jose Floyd, but swallowed the words back down.
In the current situation, just mentioning the name Jose Floyd would only make Nicole feel even worse. All of this had been caused by Jose Floyd’s right-hand man, forcing Nicole into this impossible position.
Nicole steadied herself and, forcing her spirits up, headed toward Steven Cooper’s ward.
Joshua Floyd watched Nicole’s frail figure bracing itself and let out a deep sigh.
Looking after a vegetative patient for a lifetime takes an unimaginable amount of endurance and persistence. Most people can’t even picture it, but Nicole has no choice but to hold on. Perhaps, in this life, she really is destined to have deep but ill-fated feelings with Jose Floyd.
Nicole returned to the ward. Seeing the silent room, Steven Cooper’s pale face and closed eyes, she lay across the bed and burst into tears.
"You should wake up, Brother Cooper. How am I supposed to repay this debt... Steven Cooper, you’re going to be promoted at the end of the year. Wake up..."
In the entire ward, only Nicole’s choked sobs echoed.

The next day.
A five-star hotel in City C was surrounded by police. When a lone figure stepped out of a car and walked into the hotel, all the officers lined up in two rows, imposing and orderly.
A crowd swelled outside the hotel, everyone speculating about what had happened.
With a face of icy composure, Arlo Seys walked into the hotel with a noble, unhurried stride. The hotel manager immediately greeted him with a fawning smile. "Young Master Seys, may I ask what brings you here today..."
Arlo Seys took a sheet of paper from the police captain behind him and handed it to the hotel manager. "This is an official police procedure. I hope you’ll cooperate with the operation."
The hotel manager looked over the warrant and nodded at once, his manner respectful. "This way, Young Master Seys."
Arlo Seys gave the police captain behind him a slight nod, then walked straight over to the leather sofas in the hotel lobby and sat down, every inch the picture of elegant, noble, and aloof grace.
The police captain took a team upstairs. The hotel manager attended to Arlo Seys with extreme care, making tea and smiling obsequiously, terrified of displeasing the Crown Prince before him.
In five minutes, the police captain brought the person down in front of Arlo Seys.
"Young Master Seys, we’ve brought her!"
Arlo Seys swept a cool, emotionless glance over the person they’d brought, his voice icy. "Do you know who I am?"
Andrea Greenwood looked back at Arlo Seys, gave him a once-over, and her face went pale. "Your surname is Seys? You’re from the Seys Family... the Crown Prince of the Seys Family in City C..."
Arlo Seys’ thin lips lifted in a chill, merciless curve as he looked coldly at Andrea Greenwood. "You seem to have forgotten my most important identity." His expression turned brutally indifferent, a sharp frost flashing at the ends of his brows, and his voice, utterly devoid of warmth, addressed Andrea Greenwood: "My most important identity is—Nicole’s brother. Do you understand now, Andrea Greenwood?"
