Chapter 1514: Let’s Get Married!

As an older brother, Arlo Seys’s trials for him were all for Nicole’s good, for the sake of his sister.

Era’s investment in a real estate project in City S was actually just a facade created by Arlo Seys to facilitate visiting his sister, and he even gifted one of the apartments to Nicole. From the start of Arlo Seys’s plan, everything he thought about and protected was for Nicole. Arlo Seys truly cares for his sister.

Thinking about it this way, calling Arlo Seys "brother" doesn’t feel so awkward. After going through so much, Arlo Seys is still willing to let him marry Nicole. Just for that, he is grateful to Arlo Seys, to the Seys Family’s old master, and to the entire Seys Family.

But the one he pains for the most is Nicole.

She left the Seys Family for his sake, had a child on her own, and in such circumstances, suffered severe injuries and couldn’t use anesthesia, having to endure it all.

Joshua Floyd once described the scene in the operating room, and now his heart still aches tightly at the thought.

She passed out from the pain several times during the surgery, but made it through with sheer willpower.

Regina was already asleep, and Jose Floyd covered Regina Floyd with a blanket, kissed her forehead gently, and said with a deep voice and soft eyes, "Daddy will never let you and mommy get hurt again in this life. I’ll protect you both forever."

Returning to his master bedroom, Jose Floyd happened to see Nicole using a hairdryer to dry her wet hair.

Jose Floyd walked over, sat by the bed, and took the hairdryer to dry Nicole’s hair, his movements gentle.

Enjoying the treatment, Nicole giggled softly, leaned on Jose Floyd’s lap, and smiled, "Jose, is Regina asleep?"

"She’s asleep. We talked for a while."

"Regina really likes you. It’s destiny. The moment you went to that small town, you met Regina. This is the wonder of blood relations, an invisible pull."

"Yes, like the earthquake news a while ago, where a mother saw her long-lost daughter in the disaster’s epicenter on the news. That’s the magical bond of family."

Jose Floyd finished drying Nicole’s hair and slid a diamond ring onto her middle finger.

"Jose—" Nicole was surprised, "Isn’t this the ring I returned to you back then?"

"Mrs. Floyd, this is the engagement ring I gave you. There’s no chance for you to return it. I kept it for you for over two years." Jose Floyd said as he placed a necklace around Nicole’s neck, "This is also temporarily kept for you, now returned to its rightful owner."

Nicole looked at the items on her hand and around her neck, filled with smiles, and gazed deeply at Jose Floyd.

"Jose, after ten years, you’ve learned to love. I’m worth it. In the past, we both made mistakes. In the future, let’s guide each other, and walk together well."

Jose Floyd embraced Nicole gently, his voice soft, "I’ve set the date. Nicole, let’s get married. I want you to be my rightful wife."

"Alright, I just want a simple wedding. To me, as long as you’re there, that’s enough," Nicole replied softly, hugging Jose Floyd back.

"We have to invite the Seys Family," Jose Floyd said.

The Seys Family is her family, the most important people. How could they not be invited?

Nicole shook her head, "No, from the day Nicole Seys died, there was only Nicole in this world. Whether it’s you or my brother, you’re too noticeable. I don’t want to bring trouble to my family. As long as I’m happy, that’s the best gratitude to my family. I can’t cause trouble for my family. A wedding doesn’t need to put much emphasis on formality; simplicity is best."

"Alright, I’ll listen to you," Jose Floyd nodded. "I now acknowledge Arlo Seys as my brother-in-law. It’s because of you that I accept him. He’s good to you, so calling him brother is no big deal."
